Hello fellow travellers The hotel Exe Palmera Seville surely was the bargain of 3 week tour of Southern Spain.Easy to find and with all facilites. One night stay in large basic room with wifi,tv,minibar, laundry service, air conditioning and all very clean.Large window, view not brilliant overlooking unloading bay for local Mercadonna but efficiently quiet...Cafe bar and restaurant open all day.We prefer to eat out since breakfast is normally extra.Varied choice of menus at reasonable prices and is also open to the general public .Car park extra and advisable.Buses to centre of town,We walked through the magnificent park to the plaza España,this is a "must see" . Seville a beautiful city has far too many attractions to name them all.,you need at least 2-3 days there. Alas one day was our limit and using the Exe Palmeria smiling young staff who happily booked our next destination made it worth while.I have one thought i,m not sure of,its the security between public restaurant and and access to hotel rooms. The room was nice and big, also the bed was big and comfortable. We had a problem with the air conditioning in the second morning but they offered us the next room which was ok, which we appreciated Actually, the big window had no utility, it had an ugly view at an industrial plant and became really hot during the day. Even the good air conditioning couldn't keep up with the heat. Despite the fact that it was set on 17 degrees, the lowest it could go was 20. All in all, I think it was worth the money we paid. The location was a bit far from the city center but it is a 30 minutes walk from the heart of the city, and 15 minutes from the Plaza Espana.
Good hotel. It was not expensive however it did the job. Good points Very easy to get to off the Granda side motorway Parking right underneath 10 Euro a day Mercadona right next door which meant we could easily get some food Staff were lovely Things to think about it is about 10 minutes to walk to the number 37 Bus (stops outside the emergency branch of the hospital) - you can walk there by going up past Mercadona into the hospital grounds turn right along the central avenue and then left. then into Sevilla Bus route is just along there. A display sign tells you how long the bus will be. 1.40 euros for each journey regardless of length. Its a simple system. Money is taken on the bus. The bus takes you straight into Sevilla. This may seem ok however from May to the end of September Sevilla is incredible hot and we were drained walked to and from the bus. Taxi into Sevilla - on the days we could not face it was 8 euro there and 6 euro back. There may be options closer into Sevilla however if you budget for a taxi there and back a couple of times a day this may well be cheaper than a closer hotel. (I think about £30 euros a day for taxi’s) Not so great things The safe did not work The shower is not great is you are older - my dad hated it as there was no where he could hold onto The view is none existent - well our was! There is a hospital staff canteen you can use - but the selection is very limited - either use Mercadona or pay the extra for the breakfast This may seem strange but there is no pool and you need access to that in the hot weather as most people disappear off the streets btw 2pm and 8 pm
This hotel is evaluated with 4 stars, in my opinion is to much. The personal is correct, the room is Ok but a litlle old. It was not requested credit card and when requested to charge the room it was informed no credit!!!! Bad service... The last was that the internet connection / velocity is really bad, less than 0.1 mb of speed meaning that didn't work
Arriving late afternoon by car from airport and finding this hotel was quite close to the Feria actually a €6 taxi ride or maybe a 35 minutes walk, booked a competitive rate that included parking and free wifi. Hotel is close to the important hospital called Virgen del Rocío and in fact we were directed by a helpful staff member to the underground car park that also is used for the hospital and the supermarket. There is a lift from the car park to recption and you are supposed to park in the general area of this access. We were given a room on the second floor and it was explained that when we left the car aprk we had to take our entry ticket plus a note from the hotel confirming our stay and then our ticket is exchanged by the car park office for a new exit ticket. This was very good. The room was spacious and bathroom also but best of all the mattresses and pillows and linen were good quality. Even a hair dryer and fridge. As we were just staying one night for the Feria and then proceeding we thought that this hotel was excellent value and in same situation again will definitely look to book the Exe Palmera.
Quite far from the city centre, but however the hotel is fit for purpose, comfortable though most of the staff do not speak in English here. Most of them are quite accommodating nevertheless. The convenient part of the hotel is that it is beside a supermarket and the cafe food is not too bad.
Hotel is in very quiet area.On the side is Mercadona market. Hotel is half an hour walk from the downtown ( 7 euro taxi in the night). Rooms are big, breakfast very good.Beds are very big. What do you need more ? :-)
In my room (which was on the fifth floor) there was no WiFi. So we asked the reception if they can increase the signals in our room and they said that someone will come and fix the Internet for you. We waited for more than 1 hour and the person still was not here and we were constantly calling the reception. At the end we asked them if we could change rooms and get a room with better WiFi!! At the end we did not change rooms and had to stay with the bad Internet. Although the positive parts for this hotel was that the rooms were clean and the breakfast was really good as well. The receptionist that was sitting when we were in the hotel (sorry don't remember the name) she was really kind and very helpful. She printed our document and in the beginning when we were trying to change rooms, she was very helpful and did whatever she could to serve us well. At the end I would say Hotel Exeter Seville is great and I would recommend it to anyone who is going to Seville.
booked this hotel as it was cheap for Seville and away from what I thought would be a noisy centre. It was quite a way south of the city centre (40 minutes walk) but it wasn't quiet as hoped. The long corridors with pinned open fire doors meant people coming back to their rooms late could be heard and even woke us up ! The entrance to the hotel is tired and lacking a hotel feel. The breakfast was very poor and only one guy managing to keep the drinks and food stocked. The two coffee machines weren't working on one morning so we had to do without. The quality of the breakfast was very poor. concentrated orange juice lack of cereal choice, just 2 ! lots of cured meats and poor eggs. no veggie option at all. Lots of bread ! some fresh fruit and yoghurts. The room was spacious particularly the bathroom but it needed updating, cleaning thoroughly including mould off shower grout. The toilet seat had two pads missing from underneath the seat. The pillows were the cheapest type of microfiber with lumps in them. Traffic outside had horn bibbing from 7am ish. It is situated next to a small supermarket so handy for that.
The rooms are quite big, and the maintenance was good. Located a bit away from city it takes 10 min walk plus 20 min bus to reach city center. Coming to the breakfast, I guess this is the worst breakfast I'd ever eaten, be it the taste and quality as well. I found hair in scrambled eggs, they served stale watermelon, everything was cold even the scrambled eggs. Surprisingly only white bread and the cheapest quality of bread one can buy in supermarket frozen section. Oh ya traveling to South of Spain I expected like in my precious other hotels that they would serve fresh orange juice and here they gave us bottled one and I bet the cheapest quality. We stayed 3 nights and skipped the last day for breakfast and had just cup of tea. I would recommend any one going there to skip the breakfast at any cost, I don't get a penny writing this negative stuff but I hope the management should understand the importance of customers satisfaction at all times..
