We have visited many Parador hotels, Malaga and Nerja both excellent hotels We were given a lovely room at the Parador Mojacar with sea view. Having said that we were very disappointed with the clientèle. The first night whoever was above us decided to rearrange the furniture all night for a couple of hours. The second day we were sat in the jacuzzi when a family turned up one woman with red hair and tattoos and lots of kids. Very Benidorm! We have to say the staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. As the hotel is rated 4* the clientèle were definitely 1*. We wondered how they could have afforded to stay there!
We LOVE Paradoe Mojacar! The staff were friendly and could not do enough for us, the hotel was immaculate and clean - The restaurant provided great buffet style breakfasts to cater for all tastes - we had previously had dinner there which was great with a good selection of fish etc. - Excellent experience all the way around ;)
The hotel is good and the facilities are great, a short walk to the beach and a good garden. The thing that lets it down a bit are the rooms. The bed is comfy and the bathroom is good, it just seems a bit tired here and there for the price. Staff are very good and professional.
Location, friendly staff, conveniences. The restaurant offer great food in a beautiful terrace facing the ocean. Servivice was good with good selection of wines. The beach is tipical Mediterranean with a fish restaurant across the street. As all the Paradores is well furnished with great taste, this in modern style fitting the modern construction of a beach hotel
Stayed locally for a week , in a small village just outside Mojacar in a private villa ,Lovely sandy beaches . The sea was warm and child friendly , plenty of resturants which were reasonably priced . The whole area was very clean and tidy
We recently spent a night at this hotel when travelling from the Alicante region to Gibralter and again on the way back. We found the hotel very comfortable and the reception staff very helpful. We had a ground floor room with a spacious terrace and lovely views. We had a quiet and relaxing stay on both occasions and have already booked a room there for two nights in October.
Visited Mojacar for the Moors & Christians Festival and decided to stay at the Parador because of its central location. There are many restaurants, cafes and bars located on the road that runs by the beach so there are plenty of options if you don't want to eat at the hotel. This is a modern Parador which has large open areas both inside and out with comfortable seating and sun beds located in different areas. The hotel is built into the side of a hill so whilst garden areas are limited what is there is very well maintained.
Lovely hotel. Not so good service. Room service was available but only when they could be bothered. Had irons etc that we asked for but asked if we could do without. Had a variety of services but put the phone down on us because we spoke next to no Spanish. But otherwise was a lovely room, good sea views, pool and food etc.
The hotel was lovely ,clean, friendly very central for everything will go back to this hotel Our room was very nice good size balcony comfy chairs also area to hang your smalls out to dry ,bathroom had bath plus shower two wash basins separate toilet kept very clean also had toiletries which were always topped up,plenty of cupboard space can't find any faults with the rooms.Outside space good plenty sunbeds nice pool a bit cold but ok once you where in.We were room only so can't comment on food but it looked ok had couple glasses of wine very reasonable good service. Staff friendly, but it would be nice to have tea/coffee making facilities otherwise very good,
A building built in the 70's no doubt and flashed up with glass and steel fittings to up date it into the present date. It didn't disguise the fact but it wasn't unpleasant. The superior room is nothing of the sort and not as good as my spare bedroom which is the opposite of why l booked (and paid for) a superior room. The joinery and ceramic tiling in the room was of a poor quality. THERE WAS NO AIR CONDITIONING . . when l asked for it to be turned on the Reception Manager said it was not possible at the time of year. . I recorded the temperature at 19 degrees in the bedroom in the evening. I think this policy is utterly BONKERS!! There were many tv channels with every language in Europe, often several in each language but only one English Channel which was BBC news. This is something l shall check again if l book in Europe again and l am surprised at the absence of a selection of English speaking channels. The breakfast was really good and a varied choice but, again and as per usual, the eggs were pre cooked and dreadful. Would it have been SO inconvenient to ask one chef/kitchen assistant to cook eggs to order for breakfast? The swimming pool . . it has a white d.i.y picket fence around it and it was the most uninviting pool l have ever seen anywhere. The location of the hotel in this tired and empty little resort is on its northern perimeter and it is NOT walking distance into town. We tried it once and once was enough. Parking is good and free or should l say we weren't charged. The NO Smoking policy is clearly signposted but not policed and often flaunted by diners who left the dining room and had a smoke on the terrace which was 20' from our balcony in room 504. Not chuffed about that. Look for a hotel about 500 metres south of this location in the heart of the 'resort' but don't go here if you want a beach holiday, I'm afraid the beach, particularly outside the Parador is pretty poor and only becomes flat and sandy near the south of the town.
