Great trip but disappointing accommodations
The space is much smaller in person. For the nightly fee, I expect something more polished. The space certainly needs some TLC. A deep clean would not hurt. Much of the caulk, grout, etc., is discolored or absent. It looks neglected. The place looks like it was painted, but roller marks were everywhere that did not match. They must have used a different sheen on the touch up, creating noticeable marks throughout. The beds were comfy. There were place settings for four people, i.e. four plates, small plates, etc. The coffee maker was a 4-cup, which we found a bit odd. Not the end of the world but a bit of a hassle. There were not enough beach towels, no kitchen towels and barely a serving dish. The management was very attentive to bring these items but it was disappointing to have to ask. The kayak was great. However, the two paddle boards were not functional because the fin on the bottom was broken, therefore unusable. The front door hinge is broken, and it looks like it has been for a long time; consequently, every in and out, there is a BANG. This will not work for you if you are thinking about napping children. The pool was lovely, and the man who cleaned it daily was charming. The space could use chairs on the patio. It was beautiful out there but nowhere to sit. We dragged two of the chairs from the deck up to the patio which was gorgeous to sit there. There were four beach chairs available, but two of them were broken. A little TLC would step up this home tremendously.
