We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this VRBO in Grace Bay! The condo was spacious, clean, and perfectly set up for our group. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, everyone had plenty of space, and the private pool was such a fun bonus after long beach days.The location truly couldn’t be better — it’s within walking distance to Grace Bay Beach, a great grocery store, and tons of shops and restaurants, which made everything super convenient. We loved being able to easily grab groceries for breakfasts and lunches, and we ended up cooking three dinners at the condo while going out for four others — the perfect balance. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, making it easy to feel right at home.We rented a car and had no issues parking right at the condo, which made exploring the island even easier.This was a girls trip for us — three moms and three daughters celebrating a senior trip — and it was absolutely perfect. It would also be ideal for two families traveling together, especially since one of the rooms has two sets of bunk beds, which kids would love.A special shoutout to Ariel, our contact person, who was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout our stay. He made everything seamless from start to finish.We packed so much into our trip and loved every minute! We would absolutely recommend this property to anyone visiting Turks and Caicos. It was the perfect home base!

Pros and Cons

Pros: Location close to restaurants. Standalone cottage with privacy. Open concept with pleasant large screened in porch. Technically by mileage it is a short walk to Grace Bay Beach. BUT be aware that the shortest path to the beach involves - walking down an unpaved sand/dirt road, through a restaurant, across busy Grace Bay Road (lots of traffic, no crosswalk) through shopping and lastly a resort- in order to get to Grace Bay Beach. Not very walkable with small children and carting supplies using a wagon, so we didn’t end up spending as much time on the beach as we would have.Same for grocery shopping- technically walkable down dusty sandy roads but any significant grocery shopping still requires car access. Also misleading- laundry access is tightly regulated (though a laundry fee is built into the cost) Limited to one use during the stay and need to coordinate use with the manager since it’s kept under lock and key-not very family friendly. The larger shared pool among the villas was usable and water was clean, but decking needs maintenance. At the end of the day when you add up all the extra host/cleaning/service fees the nightly rate is almost double the listed nightly rate.The furniture/linens definitely in worn condition and I was flabbergasted I reported a previously broken chair (we didn’t use but found damaged) and showed this to the property manager, that the host charged my card for 250 after checkout-in many years of renting never had this experience before.

Not Quite as Described

Although the property was a short walk to shops/dining/the beach, it looks like this was built in the middle of a pile up from a past hurricane. There are no paved roads to the property, and the address doesn't send you to the right location, but to another closed road that doesn't exist anymore. Taxi drivers couldn't find it either, so we walked to the shopping center each time for a ride. There's also what looks like unfinished construction on the property in the "yard" which is more like a mud pit. The pool was nice, but the host confirmed it was private to the unite, and it wasn't. The unit was clean and nice and we enjoyed the screened in porch very much! But the entire place seemed very tired...old worn out bedding and decor overall, just not what I'm used to in the Caribbean. We also were depending on the host to assist us with taxis, but on the first day I didn't receive a response so we had to figure it out on our own, which was fine, I was just told we could use the host for whatever we needed. Overall, I probably wouldn't stay here unless the area around it gets developed. It just looks like it's a house in the middle of past hurricane damage, and the road is very treacherous, which we would have appreciated a heads up on, and accurate directions to the house.

Hidden gem in the heart of Grace Bay

We stayed at Colibri #1 from July 27-August 3, 2024 and had a fantastic time. The location is perfect, easy walking distance to the beach, many restaurants, Graceway Gourmet and the Salt Mills. The Villa was very clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen and many many towels. The plunge pool right outside and the spacious screened in porch were amazing. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay

The pool was great and private and clean and refreshing after the beach. Grocery and shops and downtown life was walking distance. Ariel is fast and responsive we complained about ac and he fixed it right away. Will def stay here again.

OMG the porch

The screened in porch is incredible. We spent almost all of our time out there. Everything is well stocked for the beach. I really appreciated the cooler and beach chairs. Ariel is awesome, super attentive and responsive. Location is walkable to most everything including grocery store. We did have some ants attack the toothbrush holder (once cleaned it did not happen again) and found a couple tiny lizards inside. Really tiny. It’s an older house, and you have to expect that. Or maybe they snuck in when the door was open. With that said, most of the interior (floors, cabinets, tile, countertops, appliances) has been redone and feels like a nice new house. I would definitely stay here again.

Exactly as described. Close to the beach and shopping. The house was perfect. There is a pool right outside. The porch was perfect to sit outside. There was construction nearby but if you were inside, you couldnt hear it. Recommend renting a car if you want to go anywhere besides what is close by. We went to some restaurants farther away and it did not disappoint. Quieter beaches are a little farther away also. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed from October 16-21 and our family had a wonderful experience. The locating was very clean and accommodating. The manager was very responsive to calls and any need. This property will be first choice when we return to Grace Bay Area. One suggestion is that a new kettle can be place in the kitchen. Minor details but can enhance someone’s experience. Our family enjoyed the pool along with the babies. The laundry room was a great bonus! Location was close to nice restaurants, beach fun spots etc. Property highly recommended 💯

Fantastic Stay by Grace Bay

We stayed at Colibri Gardens Villa #1 the first week of August and we had a wonderful time. Laura and Ariel were very helpful and easy to communicate with. They were always available for questions and responded promptly. We loved the guest house. It was clean, comforable, cool and the location was super convenient! It's quick drive to all the beaches and ammeneties. Grace Bay Gourmet grocery store was less than a 5min walk. There is a laundry machine and dryer on the premise that you can use once during your stay and plenty of towels for your use. The kitchen was very well equiped which we appreciated. The kids loved the pool right next to the house and the screened in verandah was ideal in the evenings to sit outside and not be bitten by bugs and mosquitos. The seven of us had a lovely time at Colibri Gardens Villa #1 and would definitely consider staying there again!

Great visit to TCI

Our family stayed at the rental for a week. The house was centrally located and exactly as listed. Laura and Ariel were both very responsive and helpful. The house was well stocked with towels, beach chairs, a wagon and other necessities. They also provided a high chair and pack and play for our toddler, which was greatly appreciated. Overall a great stay!

Quiet and relaxing

Property was just as described. Only issues - a few ants in the bathrooms, and the master bedroom light could not be turned off without also turning off the ceiling fan. The beach towels, wagon, chairs, and shade were great for the beach. There were places to walk to but I would definitely rent a car for ease. Some of our favorite restaurants weren't within walking distance. Make sure you download a map before you get there!!

Great Place to stay for families, close to everything!

My family and I rented Colibri Gardens for Spring Break this year and had a wonderful time! The house was a short walk to the grocery store, shops and restaurants as well as multiple beach accesses. Ariel, the property manager was a great resource for tours and taxi transportation. The house itself had everything we needed to cook meals which was great cost savings on the island. Also, the beach supplies (cooler/cart/sun umbrella) were really useful to have and the pool was a wonderful bonus to have in the late afternoons/evenings for the kids. We would rent here again!

Great location

You can’t find a better location - close to shops, grocery store and beach. We did opt to drive to the beach since beach parking was surprisingly easy. The property manager was super helpful setting up a rental car and an excursion. We didn’t end up using the pool because it was farther from the house than we expected and it didn’t look clean. If you want a kitchen and lots of space, it is definitely a great spot.

Grace Bay Calibri Gardens

We recently visited T&C in February /March 2023. What a beautiful island! Calibri Gardens Villa 1 location is very good. 10 minute walk to beach, entertainment, groceries, shopping and restaurants. The Villa itself is comfortable with a few tweaks required. Concierge was always available upon request and very helpful. The advertised private gated community is not so. The gate was broke with no indication of being repaired. The entrance walkway is slanted and patio stone is broken/destroyed which creates a safety issue. There was an abundance of beach towels and the wagon, beach chairs and beach tent was greatly appreciated. Used the chairs and tent every day at the beach. The screened in porch also very lovely to enjoy our coffee in the morning and to relax in the evening. Kitchen: plenty of flatware, utensils and pots and pans. Functional other than the dishwasher which did not work and leaked. It seemed very apparent it’s been going on for a while. There was no attempt to send a service repairman. Mostly plastic drink ware (wine glasses) that is old, worn and scratched. Kitchen light fixtures were caked in dust. Had to call concierge for dish cloths and dish towels as there were none provided. Main Bedroom: Very comfortable and roomy. Ensuite bathrooms shower pressure was great with an abundance of hot water. However, the cleanliness was less than acceptable. Slime on shower stall wall and hair on the floor. Bedroom 2: Uncomfortable and not ideal to have a bed with one side against the wall. There is nowhere to hang clothes. Ensuite bathroom floor had dirt with hair. Needs a new toilet brush and is missing a sink plug. Pool/patio: Right beside the villa was fantastic. The grounds are unappealing and the pool was dirty when we arrived. The pool maintenance person came twice. It improved a little but didn’t seem to be circulating. The 3 lounge chairs are broken. There is also a broken umbrella and pool floatie which is debris and should be thrown out. During our 2 week vacation, renovations to the screen porch were done. It was disruptive and dirty due to saw dust. We should have been notified in advance. In summary, part of our vacation plan included using the pool and not doing dishes everyday. The place didn’t come as listed. ie, no functioning dishwasher, entrance gate broke and not sure why there’s a cleaning fee charge as the place was very dirty. Did not walk on floors in barefeet they were so dirty.

Great Villa, good location, pleasant vibe!

The villa was perfect for our brief visit to the island. Equipped with everything we needed. Loved the intimacy of a small home on the fringes of all the high rises and resorts. Easy walk to endless shops and many restaurants.

Hidden Gem in Paradise

This property is a hidden gem in Grace Bay! Ariel was a huge help in arranging a taxi for us, addressing our questions, coordinating a lower priced rental, checking us in and out. The villa was very nice for the price point and in a great location! When we were not sleeping, we were on the screened in porch day and evening. It was lovely!! We could hear the music at the local restaurants in the distance from the porch but it wasn’t over powering by any means and wasn’t heard inside. The unit is on a back road right off Grace Bay road. There were several cut through points from the unit to the main road that had us to where we wanted to be in less than 2 minutes. There are plenty of towels and basics in the unit (including coffee filters, salt, pepper, paper towels, toilet paper). Laundry is available if you ask for it to be unlocked. There are minor cleaning and repairs needed to the unit. But as a homeowner, don’t we all have these things! Really nothing that should deter anyone’s stay. We would definitely stay there again. The unit has beach chairs that you can easily carry to the beach and basic snorkel gear. The coolers available are a bit large to carry. I would recommend visitors bring their own small collapsible cooler. We made the 2 cooler pouches in the chairs work for our needs. The villa is located within a 5 min walk to 2 public beach access points. Both were excellent beaches and near resorts (cold beverage options!). We were within walking distance to many places to eat and Gourmet Grocery (higher end grocery, but had the basics. IGA has a better selection but you do need a car). If you just want to stick to the beach, no car is needed. Otherwise, I would recommend a car. We opted for one half way through the trip. Ariel assisted with that arrangement and it was delivered to the villa. There are 2 pools on property. They both looked inviting but we didn’t use either one. There is also a high chair, pack n play and board games available. Each of the main rooms has an AC unit. It was super cold and I eventually turned one off so don’t worry about it being too hot! There is a private gate entrance for the 4 units which was nice. This is the first unit on the block which may make it a bit nosier but honestly, this is a very quiet area of the island. Turks & Caicos Adventure

We had a very nice time in Turks & Caicos! This property is off the beaten path a bit but a quick 5-10 minute walk and you were in the mix. We were close to the big resorts, all the great restaurants, coffee shops and beach access. Ariel our liaison was great! He responded quickly and with great suggestions. We did the Kayak tour and the snorkel tour. He was available to answer any question we had while we were there. The house was nice, we loved the screened in deck, which you need because the mosquitos can be rough. We had a few options for pools on the property which were really nice when you needed a quick dip. The house had sand toys, chairs and coolers for your beach days. It was a perfect first trip to TCI. Thank you so much!!!

Fully stocked, central location!

Loved that the house came with everything you may need from enough toliet paper to dish soap to ample towels (bath and beach) to kitchen utensils to beach chairs and everything in between. The furniture was also very nice and the couch seems to be new since it's not the same one shown in the listing pictures. The location is fabulous because it was in walking distance of many shops, restaurants and Grace Bay. Plus the super market was also incredibly close. My only real issue is that the house needs a real true scrub from ceilings to floors sort of DEEP CLEAN. I am sure it's happened before but you can tell it's been awhile and it's ready for another.

We love staying at Colibri Gardens. The villa is stocked with everything we needed and the location is great. The property manager was easy to work with and was easily accessible.

Perfect hidden gem!

This villa is exactly as described/pictured and the perfect location for our girls week getaway! Close walking distance to everything in the hotel hub without the hefty $$$$ Resort price! The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need to prepare meals. The provided beach chairs were great for beach hopping. Grace Bay is Fantastic but, also check out Sapodilla Bay and Taylor Bay. The abundance of bath and beach towels were a nice bonus. The bed linens were super soft and welcoming after a long day on the beach. We only used the pool once but, it was lovely for an evening dip. The screened in porch was AWESOME for morning coffee/breakfast, then again at the end of the evening. You can hear music from Danny Bouys a street over, just faint enough to have your own porch dance party but, not too loud or a disruption. The Property Manager was quick to respond to any questions, Thanks Ariel! I would definitely book this villa again and happily recommend it to anyone I know headed to Provo! Only small suggestions: 1) The 2nd bathroom toilet paper holder needs attention, one side of the wood holder broke on day 2. 2) In house instruction on how to operate the ceiling remotes for master bedroom. (Maybe there was and we missed it) but the A/C worked great so not really an issue. 3) A wagon to help carry things to the beach. My understanding is there previously was a wagon but, it was out of commission during our visit. A replacement wagon would be a great asset however, I know on an island resources are limited. None of the items disupted our stay or did we feel the need to involve Property manager over. This Villa is the perfect place for ..... Beach, Relax, Repeat! Until next time! 🙂🏝

Charming house in great location

Our family of 4 had an excellent time staying at this house. It’s centrally located in grace bay. The house had everything we needed including the beach chairs and a cooler which was a great plus. We would definitely stay here again.
