My cousin and I had a great stay or 3 nights. We wished it was longer, but we'll be back again! We had a pair of nene on the lawn several times and a pair of Laysan Albatross that were in flight in front several times. Mahalo Nui Loa for a great stay!

Gorgeous view from every window! Exactly as expected and described. Unit was very well stocked with towels and blankets. Only negative was a family of ants that also booked the unit.

Princeville

Near heliport for fantastic helicopter ride and spectacular views of the island. Convenient for the challenging hike on the coast, near tunnels for snorkeling etc.

Great Views

Nice and roomy place with amazing views. Very clean, well equipped kitchen. Short drive to beach, restaurants and shops.

Amazing sunrises!

This place was perfect for our vacation. The views were amazing. The place was located in a very nice area. It was very handy to have a cooler, beach chairs, umbrella and snorkeling gear in the closet. Loved hanging out in the living room with the day bed! We would definitely come back to stay again!

Great stay!

We loved staying at this property! The view from the apartment is amazing and the location very convenient next to the pool. The 'secret' beach is the best. Getting there can be a bit challenging when it is slippery from the rain, but definitely worth the small hike. We can highly recommend this property!

Great view, good location

Stayed three nights - two adults, two kids. Easy access to the entire area. Great view, lovely breeze and with no AC we were always comfortable. We recommend this accommodation!

Pros: The location and view were spectacular. There is a close grocery store and many wonderful beaches. There is a good variety of beach gear provided. The linens, towels, and bathrooms were clean. There is a nice clothes washer and dryer that came in handy during our trip. Check-in instructions were thorough and clear. Cons: The condo was pretty run down. It is in need of repairs and updates. One of the kitchen cabinet doors is falling off, the downstairs toilet seat is falling off, most of the blinds are not functional, and a cooking pan is falling apart. We had to pull everything out of one of the upper kitchen cabinets on day 1 to clean out all of the crumbs due to the infestation of ants. A few of the cooking pans had not been cleaned at all when they were put away. The table on the patio is so unbalanced that it is difficult to eat off of especially if you are trying to cut food on a plate. Overall, the condo served its purpose, but we would not choose to stay there again.

Great location.

It’s a great location! I will always stay at the Sealodge when visiting Kauai. This unit was as pictured. It had good space for my family. It had great views of the sunrise! However that much sun exposure made the unit very hot and took a while for it to cool down in the evening.

Exactly as described!

We’ve been to Kauai many times and stayed in a variety of places in Princeville. This unit is simple, clean, and comfortable with amazing ocean views. Laying in bed watching the sunrise each morning is perfection. The newly renovated pool is next door and perfect for lounging. The beach access trail is across the street and the beach and the surrounding area are beautiful!

Lovely views

The views were true to the photos, they are lovely. We saw whales on a couple of occasions. The unit is very dated. The trek to the beach cove is true to description and is treacherous. A few of our party could not make the hike down but it was worth it when we made it. The rental company was very responsive and checked in during the stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First of all, this rental is in a BEAUTIFUL location. You can’t beat the views and you are close to the charming area of Hanalei. The rental was clean. However, the bedding in the master bedroom smells like mildew. I switched pillows as the manager advised, but found that all the pillows and pillowcases smelled the same. It did not bother my husband, but it bothered me. The dishwasher did not work as well.

Unit had all the "extras" we needed for snorkeling, beach days, and more. Pantry could use some love (there was no salt and pepper), but we were glad to find a bag of coffee in the cupboard! Our only disappointment was that the pool was closed for the duration of our stay.

Granted, it's a little dated and a couple of things were "wonky", but the views from every room made it worth it. We trekked down to the beach one day, which was a little hike but beautiful and the beach was fabulous. We enjoyed a day in the pool as well. Waking up to the sunrise every morning offset the lack of a/c (which we knew about when we booked). Overall, a great location and stay!

Quiet but could use some work

The view was spectacular, but the room needs some attention. A few dishes were put away dirty, the furniture showed signs of age and wear-not one bad thing buts lots of little things that just were not expected. The room is for 4, we had 3, but beach towels and beach bc hairs for two. We called the property manager and left a message with no return call. Our experience was just “ok”

We've stayed at sealodge 3 times and it is our favorite spot on the island. Rains every day but we love it that way. Everything is so lush and even the storms are beautiful. Took our three children and loved having the washer/dryer and dishwasher. No air conditioner was not a problem for us. We never used the pool because there is a beautiful ocean right outside. We loved our stay.

Best sunrise views ever! Perfect for small family. Pool currently closed for repairs.

We loved this condo. It was perfect for our family of 4. The views are breathtaking. The sea breeze, sound of the waves and comfortable master bed made for a great night of sleep. Roosters always woke us up for the gorgeous sunrises. The deck is small but comfortable and all we really needed. Kitchen is well stocked, books to read, and a few games to play. The parking is easy and a quick flight of stairs to the condo. We were super disappointed that the pool (right next to the condo) was closed for repairs still. The pool was a huge reason why we chose this condo. In the end, we were fine without the pool, as there were so many beautiful swimmable beaches close by. There's a beach accessible right from the condo with a good hike, but it is all reef and not for swimming. Kids had fun exploring around the lava rock and a turtle climbed up on shore right at our spot. We would definitely come back to this property. The North shore is by far the most beautiful part of Kauai.

Great Location and the View

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location and the view from lanai are impeccable, the nearby beach is gorgeous, and the unit was clean, however, we would not choose to go back to this unit. We were a group of 5, but there was not a matching set of almost any plates, bowls, and glasses. The glass door to lanai was heavy (rusted?) and hard to shut, The screen entrance door kept slamming and did not stay shut. There were ants, depending on the time of day, swarming around the garbage bin and the kitchen sink. As someone also from Hawaii, I understand the pests are unavoidable, but just a couple of baits are not enough to get rid of the them.Also, the construction is underway. We were out almost all day, so we were not bothered. But for someone who would like to relax in the unit during the day, it might be a distraction. It is a pity as the unit could have been so much better if there had been a little more TLC.
