Bathroom was very tired looking but was functional. Greeting upon arrival was cold and made us feel a little uncomfortable. Service at breakfast was fast and made us feel rushed. Beds were comfortable and parking was good.

Great value for a clean and comfortable room!

We stayed for two nights in a family room whilst visiting family in Preston. The Claremont was clean, warm, comfortable and great value. We were delayed due to a cancelled ferry and they very were accommodating about a late check-in.

The with Satnav wasn’t easy to find but that might be down to me. The hotel owners were friendly and informative. The hotel was clean, comfortable with good WiFi. I had a good nights sleep with no unwelcome noise.I never stayed for breakfast as I was up early after stopping one night. Car parking off the road was adequate and I couldn’t argue at the price.

They kindly upgraded my room from a single to a twin and found a safe place for my bike. The breakfast was good, apart from a couple of slices of toast which were burned black on 1 side - how could they serve this!!? It would also have been nice to have been asked if I wanted a 2nd pot of coffee. My main gripe was with the cleanliness of the room: I found a plastic female self-pleasuring toy in 1 corner, its graphic packaging in the other. What if kids had been staying? I thought that with Covid more cleaning would have taken place - but not even the basics! Also, the bathroom above mine leaked water into mine and my bed mattress slanted to the left. The morning I left, after showering, the door opened and cleaning staff walked right into my room. Incredible comedy of errors all round!!
