If you plan to visit this park do not bother it's dirty and a haven for thieves Staff are not helpful even when we got our possessions robbed it's become a place for stag and hen parties not a place I would take my family do yourself a favour pay the little bit extra and stay at golden Sands or Robin Hood parks your kids will love it
After reading the reviews, I was dreading coming here, but I have to say they were wrong! We arrived on Monday 17th April and left Friday 21st April. When we got there, we had to queue to get our key and our two children were both given an Easter egg! The apartment (235) was clean, everything worked fine, but a tip for people who want to go, switch the hot water on about 45 minutes before you want to use hot water. The entertainment was fantastic, the blue coats made sure to get everyone involved so we all had a good dance and laugh, I believe Jake? was my children's favourite blue coat, the bar is about normal priced for drinks. I have no complaints about this place, we will definitely be coming back in the future. Thank you Pontins Prestatyn Sands for making our holiday special
Booked as a Sun holiday and we have been to some wonderful places with these. Upon arrival we were allocated a room and I honestly nearly cried and would have gone home had they not moved us. It was a horrible hole the vinyl flooring was laid across the floor and continued up the wall, rusty cooker and the 12 inch portable TV actually chained to the wall. The replacement room was better but still not cleaned properly plates in the cupboard had been put away with food on them by previous occupants. TV permanently stuck on BBC1 but OK for us to catch the news after a day exploring. We only used as a base for exploring Wales so out every day until 9pm hence haven't used the camp facilities, but it doesn't have a nice feel endless rows of old chalets looks like a council sink estate. Would not return, it has been an experience.
We stayed here during Easter for 4 nights, 2 adults and 3 kids in a "classic" chalet. The chalet was relatively clean, under the beds and sofa were a bit dusty and the windows needed a wipe but other than that it was clean. The kitchen was well stocked with new appliances and the TV we had was fairly modern unlike in some chalets! All the bedding was clean and the mattresses seemed pretty new. I did notice that the double glazing units had 'blown' all on one side of the apartment so they were full of condensation on the inside. The park itself was clean and the staff we encountered were all lovely, yes the check in is lengthy but you can pay for a better chalet with earlier check in if you are so impatient that you can't handle a 35min wait. We paid less than £80 for the mon-fri, for that price I couldn't possibly fault it, absolute bargain really, we didn't really use the facilities much as we were always out and about since its such a beautiful area! I did find that the shop on camp was an absolute rip off, for example, a bottle of campo viejo rioja was £11 when usually around £7 in a supermarket. All in all, we enjoyed our holiday, I wouldn't be bothered about half of the fussy reviews on here, for quite a bit less than £100 for a week I'd be happy in a tent! I don't get what people are expecting really, if you want luxury go and pay for it.

I really don't know where to start..We stayed here for Easter weekend for 2 nights and with our 3 young children.On arrival we were shocked at the the state of the whole place,it is so run down and dirty!We pre booked and paid for a travel cot and it wasn't in the room when we arrived as promised.We queued up for ages to be told they can't find one and can't we just put the child in bed with us(he's 9 months old!!)They finally found one after a long wait,by this time my children were tired and waiting to go to bed and when it came it was filthy! The chalet was like something out the 60's with the decor and furniture.Tiny tv plonked on some old tatty drawers and the screen was so fuzzy it was unwatchable anyway. The shower was like a swimming baths shower where you have to press a button and get a burst of water for 10 seconds at a time.Took me an hour to rinse the shampoo out of my hair!!Why on earth aren't these things updated?It's 2017!! We used £15 electric in 2 days and wasn't even there during the day and only had the heaters on for a couple of hours before bed each night! We didn't get to sleep until 2.30am thanks to the yobs playing with pellet guns outside our chalet and drinking,shouting and generally being a nuisance!This is not acceptable for families with children to have to hear half the night..Their language was appalling and to be honest most the people on the park were the same. The chip shop and chicken place is disgusting with overpriced,poor quality food(see picture)I wouldn't feed it to my dog! The arcade is full of rides/machines not even working and the ones that do are not safe(broken seat belts on rides) And as for the toilets in the club,well they need a damn good clean,they're disgusting. We left at 7.30am on the Sunday as we couldn't wait to get out of the place.How can you let people stay here with the state it's in?I will never return to Pontins and would advise anyone to stay away!!!
This is the second holiday that we have had at your site and both time's it's been rubbish. Dirty accommodation when we had upgraded. Dirty accommodation but paid to up grade to a better accommodation and still no better didn't even stay for the full weekend that we had paid for only stayed one night
We visited here easter weekend I did read the reviews on this after I had already booked but though oh it can't be that bad, bad is an understatement it was horrendous! The day we arrived we waited In a very long que in reception when we finally got given our keys we headed straight to the chalet once in there ot looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a month the sofa bed was like sleeping on a load of broken rocks and so we're the kids beds, the pillows they gave you were like paper even once you had folded them over , worst break I've ever experienced we left a day earlier than supposed too I really don't know how that site is still standing never ever again will I book a pontins holiday
we were here for a family get together ,,,,5 adults and 4 kids. it was like stepping into the 60's ,,, I am sure it hadn't been cleaned since the 1960's. the décor was dated and dirty. I wouldn't use their cooker or their utensils for fear of contracting a tummy bug ,,,, we slept there and that was all !! The queues to complain were that long it took 2hours to be seen,,,, this was after queuing for an hour to check in ,,, when I went to the reception the next day there were still queues. The site was not equipped for the volume of people, the seating was not enough for the volume of people. the entertainment was ok ,,, but it must have been 210db it was that loud the floor was shaking. All the entertainment was aimed at youngsters, nothing for teenagers or Adults. The welcome pack consisted of a map and a key. We had to pay £55 for passes for swimming ect,,, but never seen one and still had to pay for the swimming and other things ,,, I feel like we were ripped off !! will I be back ? .... never in this lifetime
Went over easter weekend, had to complain 5 times about oven shelves missing and no grillpan or baking trays. Also bedding missing from pack. Took 18hours to rectify, dissapointed with main funfactory people saving tables and not being able to get a seat to watch any of the shows. Had to go in other room where the entertainment was poor only a bluecoat doing a quiz. The camp is in need of a major refit and upgrade and new management that care about customers after all it is us that is keeping them in a job
