A terrific hotel near everything, We had an option where breakfas was included and the food was great. Choices of several fresh cooked breakfasts along with cold cereals and fruit. Great way to start the day. The staff were mostly local students who spoke excellent English and they coudn't have been more helpful. On the day of our departure they insisted that we take a packed breakfast because we departed before the breakfast area opened.
Hip hotel in excellent city center location. It is modern, clean and very close to everything - bars, restaurants, shops and clubs. The included breakfast was very good and all staff was very friendly and attentive. The room size was good and comfortable for 2 people. Definitely recommended!
I really enjoyed my stay at the ICON hotel. It was very centrally located and easy to walk everywhere. The staff were all helpful and extremely nice. The included breakfast was great... they prepare things from the kitchen by request so it was freshly made and delicious. I loved the modern decor. I have no complaints... thank you ICON... I hope to see you again soon.
This is probably one of the best hotels I've stayed at in Europe. The staff is English speaking and all very nice and more than happy to help. The rooms are very nice sized and extremely comfortable. Great location to metro and other main areas. I will definitely stay here again next trip out.
me and my husband stayed at hotel with for nine days, really nice hotel but what we loved most was the location very close to town square and metro, and we really loved the breakfast a la carte.. looking forward to going back to Prague and staying in the icon hotel.. :)
Stayed here for a long weekend last weekend. Hotel staff was fantastic (friendly, knowledgeable, helpful) and great location that is close to all the sights. Decent room sizes, very modern, but comfortable with good Wi-Fi signals. Overall, Prague was a great city to visit, beautiful city, great food/drinks, friendly people and not speaking any Czech was never a problem as everyone we dealt with spoke English.
The location of this hotel is good, but we would prefer the Old Town. They were remodeling the restaurant/Bar so it was a little strange in the small lobby. The hall (we were on the fourth/top floor) is the strangest I have EVER seen anywhere in the world! Very dark, creepy, and lit with colored lights with the room numbers, about knee level that jut out from the wall about six inches. Unsettling and not welcoming at all. We had a room with dormers, so had to be careful not to hit our heads. The bathroom was very modern with no space to put bathroom supplies. They need more counter space which the front desk said they were aware of.
I read some reviews, and was hesitant because it sounded a bit odd, but I will absolutely stay here again if at all possible. Its very close to the action, but offset by a few blocks so you can easily get away from the bustle to enjoy other non-tourist things to do in the city... You may experience a few loud drunks walking down the street from time to time, a trucks picking up refuse or delivering merchandise early in the morning, but its a bustling city and you will have this so enjoy it. Overall, this is a great boutique hotel with an interesting decor, large rooms (compared to many other hotels in the downtown area of any worldly city), a super friendly staff, several bars and restaurants on the street to enjoy on the way back to the hotel after dinner and/or drinks elsewhere, good drinks/food in the hotel bar (which stays open late), plenty of non-tourist bodegas and shops in the area (off the main drag) to get snacks and beverages... I was there for business, and spent a lot of my daytime inside do just that, but quickly found during a few days of R&R out that this hotel is a few blocks from everything. Prague is a very good walking city and I made it to the outskirts of the city in several directions from this hotel after only about one hour by casual meandering (its ~10 min to the clock tower, 20 min to the Charles bridge, and 40 min to to gates of the main castle). The public transportation is also outstanding and there are both subway and tram stops within a 5 min. walk that will take you everywhere/anywhere you need to go while you are visiting. The main rail terminal is also a short 10min walk away, so getting in and out of the city from abroad was easy (its more than a trek from the airport, so definitely take a cab for that journey). The hotel also has free wifi so you can get your Google maps and walking/driving/transportation directions cached for the day, then blast off into the city to enjoy the sights, sounds, and flavors.
