An Outstanding hotel with a great suite space. It had a small kitchenette, a large sitting room with a dinning area. Bedroom had king size bed with a walk-in closet. Bathroom had a large tub and separate shower. It very close to everything we wanted to see. It is just a couple of blocks to the Powder Tower and the entry to Old Town. It has a very good breakfast buffet. The staff was very helpful.
The concierge were very helpful and nice. The service was otherwise mediocre. It was also the site of the worst massage of my life (I was in pain for several days afterward) and when I complained the front desk did little to make up for the terrible experience, not what I expect from a luxury hotel.
My friend organized a long weekend Prague trip for my birthday for me and our friends. And it couldn't be better. Great weather, fantastic hotel in the city centre and beautiful city of Prague. During the day we walked, later afternoon we enjoyed hotel spa and massages and in the evening good food and wine, sometimes beer. Our room was really something, spacious 2-room apartment with a terrace. Staff was very friendly and professional. Number one for me.
I visited this hotel in September and it was really wonderful! We had a very spacious suite, everything was beautiful and we felt at home. A great surprise for us was the garden, where there are peacocks as well! But the biggest surprise for us was the new and really stylish spa and fitness! There is a jacuzzi, dry sauna, steam spa and it was the right thing in this cold weather! After a long and busy day we booked a massage and it was the best decision we could make, because we really enjoyed it! Thank you very much!!!
I know this is a formally hotel Kempinski in Prague but name was changed a few years ago and also standard of quality is upgraded. Hotel is very nice, fab garden in the back makes it much different than the other hotels. For me is this no 1 in Prague however I know the other 5 stars hotels there
Am always staying here during my trips to Prague. I love the location and hotel style. My room is always extra large with number of nice amenities. Friendly and professional staff, beautiful garden and restaurant. This time they offered something extra here. Beautiful spa and professional massage treatments. I love this place.
Wonderful hotel with great service. We specialy liked the room design with spiral staircase to bedroom and en suite, making great use of the high ceiling. The decor was great. Are the bronze sculptures ( birth of god; tenderness etc) for sale?
I like fine hotels, and appreciate the good service and efforts of its employees; the Grand Mark in Prague will rank as one of my favorite experiences in world travel (perhaps being a member of the Leading Hotels of the World helps support that observation). Everything from pre-arrival to departure was handled with craftsman expertise by the concierges at the hotel, as their "les clefs d'or" indicate. Once you enter through the grand doors facing the street, life changes from the streets of Prague into a realm of luxury and personal attentiveness. The suite was spotless throughout my stay, and every employee in their respective positions represented the best of their efforts and attentiveness. I spoke with everyone in every position at the hotel, and acknowledged and thanked each one for their good manners and efforts in my behalf. The courtyard was a sanctuary from "normalcy" (even normalcy at a high level), and somehow even the clouds in the blue sky seemed happier and calmer.....even the peacocks strolling in the courtyard helped bring balance into life. The city of Prague seemed like a "peasants Vienna", but as my ancestors are from tiny villages in that area, I was at peace with the giving attitude of the people. Should I return to Prague for a visit, there is no doubt that the Grand mark is the hotel to which I will return; perhaps I could even move to Prague as it has such a calming effect upon the soul. For anyone who complains about the Grand Mark, they are likely pompous fools, and their comments should be ignored......this is a fine hotel.
Just had 3 amazing nights at this beautiful hotel to celebrate my 60th birthday with friends. Check in was quick and efficient with friendly staff. The room (510) was amazing, kitchen, living room and bedroom were very tastefully decorated, the bathroom was large with shower and bath, again very tasteful. The hotels communal areas are all very elegant and the garden is very relaxing with resident peacocks. The breakfast is wonderful, everything one could want, the staff are very attentive. We enjoyed a lovely birthday evening meal in the hotels restaurant which was very tasty and to a high standard, the staff were amazing making our night one to remember. We were reluctant to leave this splendid hotel and could have stayed longer, highly recommended !
From a simple street entrance you step into another world at this exceptional property: a high-ceiling, light breezeway leading past an elegant and inviting lobby to an extraordinary garden beyond. Not a leaf is out of place; a fountain burbles; a pair of peacocks stroll around and suddenly you are transported from the mayhem of Central Prague to a serene and stress free haven. The rooms are elegant; the service sincere; the cocktails generous. It is a jewel.
