We stayed in this hotel for two nights. Close to shops, restaurants, parks, historical sights, and public transportation. Hotel room is spacious in European standards (2 person total occupancy) and the bed is Starwood's Trademark Hevenly Bed!! Extremely comfortable! Hotel was super quiet.
The strategic location of Sheraton in Charles Square makes it very attractive. One can walk from the hotel to discover the beauty of the city and what the shops offer. It is only a 10 - 15 minutes walk to the old town centre. The staff are very friendly and helpful and I had a memorable stay at the Sheraton.
We went as part of a Viking River Cruise down the Danube. We were met by Viking staff in the lobby who helped us with dinner reservations at restaurants within a short walk. We didn't walk to the old town section as this was provided as part of our Viking bus/walking tour. It is a bit far. We bought trolley tickets from the concierge to get around town on our free day, got off one stop early and walked back along the river and past the famous "Ginger & Fred" building back to the hotel. The surrounding area is very clean and safe with a nice park and historic churches. The staff at the hotel very friendly and helpful. Our room overlooked the inside courtyard which didn't bother us since we were only there to sleep on a comfortable large double bed. The air conditioner worked well and kept the room cool. We really liked the large selection of breakfast food at the buffet in the morning with great tasting espresso & hot chocolate. No negatives, just lots of positives for this hotel.
Nice hotel and clean one stuff are friendly not faraway from charles bridge about 20 min walk but it's nice to walk in prague it's a lovely town , there's no pubs and restaurants near the hotel so you should walk for about 20 min to reach restaurants the good thing that you have a beer spa in front of the hotel it's good .. the breakfast is perfect wide range of food I definitely would come back to this hotel ..
The Sheraton on Charles Square is near "old Town" Prague. You are within a twenty or so minute walk to most of the tourist venues. Many of the streets are cobblestone so make sure you wear good walking shoes. Check with the concierge for "local" places to eat. The Czech food is wonderful; the beer aint bad either. The hotel has a bar on the roof that provides a wonderful overview of central Prague.
The reception is friendly and welcome when we checked in, the room is very clean and quiet. Good location to walk around the town. We went to have breakfast and they said we only booked for 1 person, but we did booked and paid for 2 persons. The reception staff he said: All I saw is for 1 person, you can pay 450 CZK for another one. We checked our booking reservation and talked to booking agent, after 30mins, they found out it's the reservation department of Sheraton they made mistake. Finally we can have breakfast. My husband ordered a cheese omelette, it's not warm and cheese stuffed was still pieces chunks. There're not a lots choice for breakfast. The reception did apologise for the mistake of breakfast. Because only stayed one night, many need to stay more nights to see more.
The hotel is located in a relatively good location with most of the Prague tourist interests within walking distance. The staff at the Front desk spoke great English and made very helpful suggestions on what to see and where to go in Prague. The room can be rather dark but the set up and furniture are very modern. The TV contains about 16 English channels including HBO 1, 2 & 3. It has a box for you to insert your own media to play your own programmes. It was scorching in Prague over the weekend and it's excellent that the hotel rooms' air-conditioning units worked a treat. You can select between 19 to 25 degrees and be assured that you will get the temperature as set. However, the one negative is that parking (valet only) costs CZK 1000 a night. That price is perhaps set as a deterrence!!
Sheraton Prague is very centrally located hotel at reasonable price. Rooms are bit small but well furnished with all modern amenities. Front desk is very helpful and very quick to respond to your needs. Would stay here again when visiting Prague.
Great when you are traveling to stay at a hotel with great concierge, friendly English speaking staff and well sized rooms. Staff at Sheraton Prague have made a wonderful stay in this beautiful city even better.
We use spent 5 days in Prague and stayed at the Sheraton Prague Charles Square. My husband is SPG Platinum, so 5 nights on SPG points is optimum as the 5th night is free. Staff were very friendly and attentive and the room quite comfortable with double twin beds pushed together and nice linens and pillow choices. Hubby was hoping for a suite upgrade but it is probably very difficult at this location as it was packed with Viking Cruises passengers. We were able to relax in the executive lounge each day where it was a little quieter, with snacks and wine and chat with other executive families on vacation. After check-in, staff brought a lovely fruit plate to our room as an SPG Platinum welcome gift, which was a nice touch. This hotel is located easy to walk to old town or new town or the river and many many good restaurants and coffee shops. The tram is accessible about a block and a half away, and the concierge has tickets for purchase. We would definitely stay here again n another visit to Prague.
