We were 3 people staying in a junior suite . The space was huge with two bedrooms and a single off the first room as well. The king mattresses were a little uncomfortably firm , but decent. Two full bathrooms was great! The patio area was a huge bonus . The apartment had no air conditioning but the fans were a big plus and made the temperature pleasant enough for sleeping during a heat wave . We had included breakfast over at the golden star hotel and it was great .

Parking was difficult but the staff was wonderful doing valet parking for us. Our rooms were lovely but we did have several flights of steep stairs ro get ro the room. I knew to pack light for this stay so we were prepared. we enjoyed the areaa but did have a hard time finding the hotel initially. streets were narrow.

Perfect city break hotel

Lovely hotel, with comfortable, spacious rooms. Ample breakfast, with a good variety of food, in nearby sister hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Perfect for a 5 day trip, when you want to see the sights but enjoy a bit of time in the hotel, as well.

We loved the proximity to the castle and St Nicholas square near also the Infant of Prague altar in a church nearby . Street is very safe , boutiques , cafes but not overwhelming . The reception is up the street at the Golden Star & staff speak great English and are very helpful . Breakfast there amazing . Beds very comfy and updated shower , antique look with real oil paintings and antique furnture etc . No A/c but fans . No elevator either but for the price and location it was great for us . If you have mobility issues the street is steep so be careful of that . Basically two smaller nice hotels one owner but checkin , elevator , AC at Golden Star . We would definitely stay here again . Also be mindful parking is only for residents - the hotel offers valet and take car to safe location miles away but is pricey at 40 euros a day . Calculate that into you stay .

We loved the hotel and the area it is in. The hotel is very traditional, which is what we wanted. Our room was on the top floor, was very spacious and clean with good amenities and lovely views. It is very close to the Prague castle and nice restaurants. Good variety of food at breakfast and the food was very tasty. We would highly recommend this hotel. There is no lift which wasn’t a problem for us, but guests with mobility issues may struggle.

Beautifully renovated traditional hotel in a fantastic location. We arrived at midnight, very easy check in at the Golden Star. We booked a Junior suite for 2 adults and 2 children (expecting 2 bedrooms) and were happy to find an extra single bedroom in the large suite. Really comfortable beds, quiet and relaxing. Great breakfast at the Golden star. Excellent value, we look forward to returning.

My favorite neighborhood in Prague just below the castle. The property is on a steep hill so if you have difficulty walking, it might not be the best option for you.

Great experience

The hotel exceeded my expectations. We booked a family room, but it felt more like a two-room apartment with a hallway in between. It was clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated with interesting details. The breakfast was served at the sister hotel, Golden Star, just 60 meters away—and it was very good. We’ll definitely return if we visit Prague again someday.

Pros: Excellent location, easily walkable. Large room for a family of four with beds for everyone. Small fridge in room, plenty of space. Room was beautiful. The free breakfast provided at Golden Star was great with a lot of options. Front desk staff was very kind and helpful (Jana). WiFi was good. Lots of windows to open at night and fans provided. Cons: Didn’t have hot water for a day, that being said, it was fixed as quickly as possible. Biggest complaint is the bath/shower…someone is going to break a hip getting in and out of that. The tub wall is about two feet high, and then you have to step down another foot into tub. Only thing to hang on to is a glass wall. As fit people, we struggled. They at least need to install a bar to hold on to. Also of note, lots of stairs to room, no elevator (which we expected). Bring your own hair dryer unless you want to use an antique European one. Found king bed to be pretty uncomfortable, very hard with a ridge in the middle. Overall a great value and location.
