Panorama Hotel Prague4.0 out of 5.0

We got the panorama hotel as part of a flights+hotel package but found out it is very modest in prices reserving it independently. The area it resides is very convenient (Prague 4). There is a big mall across the hotel, s nearby Metro station and a several restaurants, one recommended in another review (the Petrofena Husa). The hotel staff is nice. The breakfast wonderful and the rooms standard but very friendly. One thing we missed and recommend the management to add is coffee/tea set in the room. The metro station enabled us to get within 10 minutes to half an hour to every spot around Prague (google map very helpful. Consider purchasing a local SIM card which enables using the application everywhere with no need for WiFi). Another very friendly matter is the possibility for a late checkout. Since our return flight is a late by night one, we were allowed to stay until 6 pm for as much as 40 euro. Prolonging your stay Until 2 pm is free.
Another beautiful city, another basic, humdrum, sleep-and-leave Hotel. Everything was just ok, nothing special, a little dated, but nothing too bad. The room was ok, the bathroom, with an even more difficult bath tub to jump into, was just fine, although the shower head location was a little strange. The bedsheets were a little too threadbare and the pillows were even thinner. The food served at breakfast or dinner was the usual common fare. I was told there was a modern mall at the back of this hotel with maybe better restaurants, but due to our schedules, we were not able to go. After a night or two, I was just happy to leave.
Stayed for 4 days on a conference. The conference room was completely devoid of daylight, which is quite de-energising and un-engaging. And inside the room, the lighting was so bad that we had to request extra lamps to be brought in to the room in order to see what we were writing. The hotel food is bland and monotonous, and every day breakfast and lunch, we got the exact same buffet food. Rooms are old and tired, and the a/c doesn't work. The hotel indicated that it wasn't possible to do anything about that, which meant that the room was hot an stuffy every night, despite it being cold outside. Wouldn't recommend holding a conference there again.
The hotel is located outside the downtown but in the rear you have a subway station an a big modern Mall. It is better if you change some money to the local Czech Crown and not have only Euros. In the lobby is a change money machine. Free wifi. Good food, nice lobby bar, polite staff. The buffet is very good.
The hotel is first of all not in city centre but luckly enough next to a metro stop.Exteriour looks not special and I guess was spectaculair back in the 80’s. However the name of the hotel let you think there might be a panorama , don’t expect too much so you will not get dissapointed. The rooms are ok , enough space and everything is there but for all the little bits of extra there is a lot extra to pay , for example movie on tv : 12 eu , mini bar coke 4 eu . The breakfast should be served untill 1030 but coming in at 1025 made them stressed and was being told that it would be closed. i never expected that the waitress were almost taking my plate while still enjoying the meal but it happened.

We stayed at the Panorama hotel for 2 nights after a Saga River Cruise. The hotel has 24 floors and, at first sight looks rather glitzy. However we found things far form glitzy. Check-in was very slow, they ask for a 50 euro or a credit card for 'incidental expenses'. We stayed on the 10th floor. the room was ok, the bed was uncomfortable, tv quite old. No toiletries in bathroom, high bath made getting into/ out of shower quite hazardous. Handrail set too low and was useless. Water was a dribble from bathroom tap but shower was ok. Top tip: ask for kettle which was supplied with cups, coffee/tea and milk. Meals were quite good and quite cheap. This hotel is 4 Metro stops form Prague old town. If you wish to spend time in the old town then find a city centre hotel.
A decent hotel located 5 minutes walk from the underground which was very convenient. Breakfast had a good selection with fruit included. The rooms are spacious and lovely with good views. You have to pay for swimming and the gym which was disappointed because I thought that was included. Tried to go to the casino but this guy at the casino was very rude. They need to do something about. All in all it was a lovely stay and well worth it
Great sleep amazing service very central. Staff are friendly and lobby bar was great. Will definitely return to this place We had the pleasure to meet Mr Agnew and he was very helpful. Spa was also great
Location location location. Hotel is right next to a mall and the transit system. Easy access to everything but away from the mass of tourists in old Town. However, It's only 10 minutes to the city center. Great views of Prague. Hotel has a casino, pool, spa and great restaurants.
