Old Town Square Hotel

We stayed in this hotel for three nights in a junior suite, with a view to the astronomical clock and the entire square. To us this was a perfect choice. The room was very big and clean. Service was also extra good and friendly. Breakfast was served into the room. You just filled the form the day before. You could order normal things for hotel brakfast. You just fill in the number, how much you want, and in case you noticed that it isnt enough, you could call them to bring more. We didnt need to test this. Of course you filled in the desired breakfast eating time. Room was cleaned daily, and the towels were also changed daily. The hotel itself does not have a restaurant, but downstairs there is a bar/cafe restaurant, and the area is filled with all kinds of restaurants. Some kind of a spa was also included in a walking distance, we didnt try it.

Went to the Christmas markets for a weekend in Prague and stay in one of these apartments which was ideal for 7 of us traveling together we had a great time and the location of the apartment made it easy going to and from the town centre. We will be return again.

We loved our stay at Old Town Square Hotel. The location is amazing and we spent so much time just looking out our window people watching and busker watching. The room is very modern and large and we enjoyed breakfast in our room every day. The staff also were very good - very friendly and helpful. The only downside was that the air-conditioning unit was not all that effective in cooling the room down quickly so not sure how it would cope on a very hot day/night.

Great location right in the Old Town Square. Super friendly welcome and a fantastic huge high ceilinged room (at least 10m square) with large bed, modern furnishings and the most ultra modern en-suite with large bath, double sized shower and twin basins. All was spotlessly clean and obviously recently decorated. Helpful staff, giving advice, booking return taxi and storing cases for our late departure. The only issues are: That the (inclusive) breakfast is only available in the room. You have to fill out a menu sheet the evening before. A dining table is provided in the room and the staff trolleyed our good continual breakfasts in at the specified time and it was all very good. However, we would have preferred to have sat in a conventional dining room amongst other guests and (not applying to us, being a couple) if you were travelling with friends, there is no facility for eating together. Secondly, being a town square hotel, noisy revellers in the early hours mean it's best to have the windows closed, but it's an airy large room and there is an air conditioner unit provided if it's too hot. Definitely we would recommend this hotel and would stay in it again, but next time possibly forego the in-room breakfast and use one of the local restaurants instead.

the hotel is located right in Old Town Square which is the hub of Prague- Huge room and the staff truly bent over backwards to make your stay better. you ordered what you want for breakfast and what time you wanted it and they delivered to your room every morning.

I visited the old square in January and was surprised how many people were around even on a weekday in freezing temperatures. The square is charming, with so many beautiful old buildings. Beware of the multiple vendors who will approach you and offer you tour specials.

Anyone who goes to Prague these days would tell you that the Old Town square is an awful place -- a tourist trap with overpriced restaurants and hordes of people pushing their way around, plus noise and dirt. This lovely hotel is right smack in the middle of all the action. Which would be great if you could come in from the madding crowd and rest in the spacious rooms with high ceilings and old world charm. Alas, the municipality is doing all it can to drive people away from the square. Right at the height of tourist season they are digging around the buildings for water pipe maintenance (they start at 6 am with their drills and heavy machinery!). The mayor is also evidently quite fond of private businesses to set up festivals in the square, which is under your window. Music from the festivals is unbearably loud, and it is no Dvorak, let me tell you. None of this is the hotel's fault, but it is their loss. We had to move to their sister hotel, Emblem, which is terrific. PS: Do not arrange for a pick up from the airport through the hotel, their guy charges 800 Kroner, whereas Uber is 320, or a regular cab is 650.

Perfect location. Right in the heart of Old Town. Easy to walk to all sites from here. We had the hotel arrange for the airport pick up and we were glad we did - as a large parade was going on and we were dropped off about a block away. The driver had called the hotel prior to getting to that spot and a bellman was waiting for us and escorted us to the hotel. Cost of the Mercedes Benz transportation was ~$34. The hotel staff are just super friendly. We were provided with a check list of items we could have delivered the next day for breakfast- and that is included in the cost of your room. The room was vey comfortable. We got one with a King size bed and A/C. I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. I will use it again when we come back for another visit.

This hotel is right on the Old Town Square, the center of the historic region. The building and cellar restaurant are apparently 800 years old, but our room was huge and totally modern. There are only ten rooms here, and the staff was very personal and helpful, especially Abidi. There is a restaurant downstairs, so it is a bit hard to find the entrance at first, so just head toward the clock and the hotel is just to the side. Breakfast was good and served in the room. My wife is handicapped, so luckily we got on the lower floor. She did OK on the stairs, but there is no elevator. Also, cabs cannot come right to the door, so you need to walk a bit to them. Not a problem for most people. Highly recommend.

The buildings around the square are fantastic and well worth the visit just to see. I recommend a visit in the old town hall tower with really nice wievs and a two step elevator that takes you to the top level. The astronomical clock is a bit overrated but the interest is huge! Watch out for pickpockets!! If you want to eat or drink you have lots of alternatives but the prices are 1,5 - 2 times higher than a couple of blocks away. Groups of tourists all over and lots of schoolchildren on the move. Crowded to say the least!
