Novotel Praha Wenceslas Square4.0 out of 5.0

Novotel Hotel Wenceslas Square is almost a kilometer away from Wenceslas Square and would typically be a nice walk to and fro. But it would be a different picture if the walk is during searing hot summer days or extra-freezing winter days or rainy/thunderstorm days. Then, the distance matters. The nearest bus/metro stop is about 250-300 meters away and for convenience, metro/bus tickets can be purchased at the front desk. The hotel was manned by helpful staff and my room is pretty big, albeit dated in some ways. The restaurant was chic and had good choices for lunch and dinner. The breakfast spread was above average but was a little slow at the egg station. The property has fitness facilities but, unfortunately, I didn't have time to use. There is also a roof deck to simply hang out and contemplate the beauty of Prague.
The hotel it's located in the great position, the room are quite good but quality its more lower than other Novotel in the world. Need to improve this hotel in the room and in the service. I love the Accor Hotel .... but sometime make me not happy.
It has a very rich breakfast and very good. The position of the hotel is good. It has interior pool. It has a clean room and bathroom. Its near the tram station. To get tram tichets or metro you should get at at the metro station till 8 pm beucase after that it hard to get them. To get at the city center by foot it takes around 45 minutes.
The hotel is very clean and a room was standard Novotel, with one double bed and a sofa for children. Parking is well organized, in a garage connected with upper floors. The breakfast was perfect, all one can imagine for good start of day. The swimming pool working hours is till 22, so you really have chance to use all hotel facilities. It's great and well positioned hotel in Praha. We used trams to get where ever we have wanted.
Stayed for one night on business. Room was clean and comfortable desk was ideal for working. Not a huge amount of plug sockets and the ones at the desk had a very fierce cover that kept pushing my adaptor which interrupted the charge. Internet was fast and free. Both check-in staff and the Bar staff were quick and attentive. The restaurant at breakfast time can only be described as a car crash. Nobody was visibly overseeing the dining room and tables were left uncleared. This leaves you with limited seating choices unless you're happy to sit at an uncleared table. The breakfast buffet is the standard hot and cold items with a chef station where they will prepare omelettes and fried eggs to order. Recommendation for the hotel - increase the staff in the dining room during the breakfast service.
The staff were friendly, but the room service not so good. the hotel is in a good location within walking distance to the train station. the hotel is not perfect but considered as a good one. I recommend it.
I'd stay here again. There is no such thing as a perfect hotel, and this is what I noted. Pros: The staff were very pleasant and professional. You can buy postage stamps from reception. The location is not central, but not isolated. Places to eat and shop are nearby. My room was kept very clean. There is a roof terrace on the 6th floor with great views. Cons: I could not get the temperature cool enough. The mattress was too soft. The toilet is separate to the bathroom. I dislike this configuration because you have to change rooms to wash your hands. The desk power socket doesn't let you use a triple adapter. I'd call the Novotel 'Good' rather than 'Average', if I could.
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Old Town and the train station. Most hotel staff were very accommodating and referred us to others if language was an issue. We enjoyed the lounge and breakfast bar (although a little pricey). Our room was basic but comfortable. We used the sofa bed as it had a softer mattress. Our major concern was the bathtub, as the sides were very high and difficult to step into, and the shower head was very awkward to turn on.
This was our first time to Prague, I first booked a little hotel close to city center but then my wife said she is not taking a risk and would like a hotel chain - like Novotel. Price including breakfast was pretty good at Novotel so we wend ahead and booked 4 night for a standard family room which means one queen bad + Sofa. We arrived at Novotel around 2230 so we expected the room to be ready. Unfortunately, the Sofa bed wasn't ready so we had to call the reception which took care of that quite quickly. We were also short on towels so we had to call again and it was taken care quite quickly as well. Room is rather small but well kept and I think the breakfast is also very nice. Location is also pretty good as you can get anywhere using Pavlova station (walk 1-2 minutes). Although at first we were slightly disappointed, looking back it was quite good and within the standard of Novotel. The hotel restaurant is quite pricey for Prague standard but if you want to stay in for the evening - it is an alternative.
Nice hotel a 10-15 minutes walk from the center. We didn't try the restaurant. On the plus-side: Nice fitness, breakfast, location, pool and friendly staff. On the negative-side: Expensive parking, small room, very late cleaning of the room.
