This is a small Hotel with approx. 10 rooms right next to the Charles Bridge - so right in the middle of where things happen. Since Prag is a place where loads of party people go and it can be extremely loud all through the night into the early morning hours, we were glad that the hotel was super quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful - like all Czech people we met.
The hotel is ideally situated only minutes away from the Charles Bridge within easy walking distance to the Old Town and Prague Castle. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The inclusive breakfast was excellent with a good variety of cereals, fruit, juice, coffee/tea, eggs and bacon and pastries. The hotel staff were very pleasant, courteous and helpful. And very good value for money.
On the highly populated Charles Bridge, this hotel, located only 100 metres from the bridge, was a highly positive experience. The staff was very friendly, communication easy (English), and the hotel has an excellent restaurant. Breakfast was good, only gluten-free bread was missing.
The hotel location is fabulous. Really close to the Charles Bridge, in front of a pleasant square, and with some seatings for you to drink and eat outside the hotel. Really nice. But if the hotel location is fantastic, the staff is awesome. My wife forgot her sunglasses there and they not only communicate this by e-mail, but sent it to our home in Brazil. Amazing.
Me my partner and his mum stayed for 3 nights in mid December. The rooms were very spacious the bathrooms were massive. The location was excellent, just 100 metres from the Charles bridge. Despite being very central, this hotel was very peaceful and quiet. Staff were wonderful and always willing to help.We would highly recommend this hotel.
It was purely by chance we stopped here for an evening meal on the way back to our hotel. We had been to Old Town Square and were feeling the cold, popped in here for a drink and stayed for dinner. It was a very pleasant surprise, staff were lovely and the food was very good, we all had local cuisine and it was extremely good value. As a bonus a large beer is a litre ! We would most definitely return although I suspect in high season this becomes very busy, as it is just off Charles Bridge.
We were redirected to this hotel as there were some issues with another hotel we booked. The staff were nice and accommodating despite the fact that we did not actually book this hotel. Honestly, it was not what we came to Prague expecting but I imagine the traditional style would be appreciated by many who have come to admire the historical part of Prague - this hotel totally fits right in with the rest of the town. Great service, fabulous location and comfortable rooms!
We've been here for Christmas and we had a lovely time! There was a small Christmas market in the park right in front of the hotel and one evening, a large group of carolers sang beautifully from the steps of the Charles Bridge. The hotel personnel was very helpful and nice! We stayed in a superior room which was very spacious and tidy and there was a good diversity of breakfast options.
The hotel has an enviable position very near Charles Bridge and yet is tucked away in a quiet side street. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous throughout our stay. Some reviews have criticised the fittings of the hotel but, to be honest, it is a delightfully traditional Czech hotel with lovely period furniture etc and it is very clean. Those who want glass panels and stainless steel are welcome to go elsewhere. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are similarly an experience of real Czech cuisine. We would stay here again without hesitation.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Golden Scissors hotel, situated in the heart of the historical town to join all the city's attractions and beauties, it is nice, simple and comfortable. The staff was very kind and helpful, everything clean and perfect. We also had dinner at the restaurant hotel and we ate a delicious Salmon tartare and filet. It has been a great experience and we recommend it.
