Lovely small hotel in the very centre of Prague !

The hotel staff were professional, friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, clean and had a lovely view over the Old Town Square. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and we ended up eating in the hotel restaurants 3 out of our 4 nights stay.

Great place to stay in Prague!

Friendly, great service, great location, spacious rooms, great breakfast buffet! It could not have been better. This is a place that has the potential to be a tourist trap (since it has a prime location directly on the Old Town Square) but it isn't!! They work hard at being reasonable, both in attitude and in price. Don't miss having a drink or a meal on the rooftop terrace, it is magical!

This is a very nice old hotel in an excellent location. It can be a bit noisy around the hotel at night. The terrace bar and cellar bar seemed always too crowded for us. Take only cabs by the AAA company. Others are well-known cheats!

The best of all Hotels we stayed in Europe. Wonderful Hotel and we would recommend to anyone visiting Prague--the highlight of our European visit. The Hotel is just outstanding in every way. Food was great and the help at the Hotel was just wonderful.

Great hotel in the central location.

If you are looking for a fantastic location and are willing to compromize a little on the room size, this hotel is for you. Our family of four had two rooms at U Prince and enjoyed our stay. Right in the Old Town Square 50 feet from the Astronomical Clock, the hotel is a perfect place for a tourist looking for central location and a lot of action. Very nice breakfast and a couple of other restaurants right at the hotel.

Right in the middle of things

Really no Valet. So parking is a challenge but hotel staff (Patrik) took the car and parked it. No valet tickets - so a trust thing and no problems. Perfect location/the best for Old town. Double windows will not block out 100% of the noise from the square. Breakfast is very good. This is a USA 4 star level and they are not driving you crazy trying to do things for you. Room (Jr Suite) was 2 level and less convenient than a single level. You must eat/get a drink on the roof.

Good times in Prague

Excellent, very well managed, staff super friendly and attentive. Excellent location if you want to be central. The rooms were fabulous! We strongly recommend U Prince. From the front desk, to people at the restaurants the attitude is very professional and oriented to the guests' needs. One more: Use the hotel taxi. It is cheaper and safer. The taxis at Prague's train station and airport are a little Mafia. Call the hotel in advance and arrange for a car pick up.

Good place. Great staff. Unfortunately on our third night the club next door started loud music that made sleep impossible. The hotel moved us to a quieter room which helped a little. The music rattled the walls until 4:15AM.

Hotel U Prince in Prague, CZ

Just completed a 9-day stay at this hotel in Prague, CZ. Overall experience was excellent. The Junior Suite had nonfunctioning AC on arrival. We were moved to a Double Room. The hotel manager contacted Hotels.com, and a refund of the difference in room rates was issued within 24 hrs. Excellent full breakfast included. Room cleanliness was excellent. Free Wi-Fi in room with good signal. Hotel location excellent for sightseeing. Lots of nearby restaurants. Hotel staff excellent in every way. Would recommend this hotel. Would stay here again.

location is perfect

The Hotel, a beautiful old building, is in the middle of the old Prag. From here all sightseeing is in walking distance. The rooms are big and very comfortable.Everything is clean. Sitting on the roofgarden in the evening was so nice. The Hotelstuff was very friendly , the service super. Price for room and food are good. Not to expensive. For sure we will come back,

Great location but mind the stairs

The reception is on the first floor and there is only one slow lift, which is heavily used by people going to the large top floor bar/restaurant. The hotel only issues one mechanical key per room so you have to leave the key at reception if you are doing separate things from your partner and this is a big nuisance. You cannot go out and lock the door if your partner is asleep i n the room as this deadlocks your partner in the room, a situation which should not be allowed.There are stairs everywhere, including to the bathroom, which can be hazardous at night, so the place could be very difficult for disabled people. I had to get on my hands and knees and use a torch to use the safe. Our room (number 31) had no view, which disappointed us, but the room was spacious, quiet, and beautifully furnished. The buffet breakfast was excellent. We had dinner in their outdoor restaurant and the waiter was probably the rudest we have ever dealt with and my meal, a veal dish, was very bad.. We have previously stayed at the nearby Hotel Rott and thought that the Hotel Rott was much better. However, despite all the faults, the U Prince is in a great location and and I would still recommend it.

I wish I had an excuse to return

It's not common to be surprised by a great experience and a great value in a hotel. I stayed at the U Prince for a week recently. I couldn't believe the hotel was for real. If you are enjoying the old town look and feel, the hotel will be an extension of that. The breakfast that is included with the room rate is generous and very good -- I would have expected to pay $20 for a buffet like that. The restaurant meals are quite good and inexpensive. The Black Angels bar in the basement is popular and a good hangout. The room is set with carved furniture, a secretary desk, a wardrobe -- it all feels very classic. The bathroom is modern and beautiful. The staff were uniformly friendly and polite. Only drawbacks: cigar smoke wafts up from the basement bar, and noise filters down from the very popular rooftop terrace restaurant. Neither kept me from enjoying my stay very much.

Hotel U Prince in Prague

Great location - close to all the must-see sights in Prague. Had view of famous clock and cathedral from our room. Only complaint was there was an electrical outage that made the power go out for a couple of hours but I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Prague!! Service was superb!!

Hotel U Prince in Old Town Prague

I am a frequent traveler to the Czech Republic and have stayed in a lot of different hotels. However, after having dinner at the top of the Hotel U Prince, last year, I decided I would give the hotel a try on my next visit. The Hotel U Prince is now my favorite place to stay in Prague. The Four Seasons or Corinthia Towers have a little bit better beds but they dont compare to the ambiance of this place. Fantastic!!!

Best location in an amazing city!

The U Prince was an incredible hotel in the best location possible in Prague! We upgraded our room hoping it would give us a good location in the hotel. We were blown away by the size and opulence of the room. It was a loft suite with a small entrance hall that could be used as a dressing room. The bathroom was marble and the products were a treat. My husband had an issue with the shower being a waist-level hand held with no glass or curtain. He had to mop up the bathroom after his showers no matter how careful he was. I loved the deep bath. We then looked out our bay window to see that we had a panoramic view of the old square and the astronomical clock tower was right beside us! Anything we wanted was less than a ten minute walk from the hotel. The only thing that may bother those staying in this room was the noise from the bar and the square outside. The clock did not bother us but the garbage collection at 7:30 AM and the people above us walking with shoes on, was very loud. The front desk staff and bellmen were all wonderful and very helpful. The hotel restaurant in the square and the roof top restaurant were excellent and not too expensive. Over all an amazing experience!
