If you choose to stay at U Páva, you have to realize that there will be nothing that you don't like. The property, the rooms, the location, the service, the staff... If you complain in here, you better stay home the next time. U Páva is Prague, U Páva is Czech, U Páva is romantic, U Páva is perfect to sleep and wake up with a good breakfast, U Páva is a great place to discover the city and learn a few words Czech which create a big smile of appreciation if you use them (or trying to in my case). This hotel is operated by people with a passion for their profession in a unique building, something you don't find in large chains or commercial places to stay.
This hotel was lovely. The rooms were clean and warm, the bed very comfortable. The receptionist was efficient and friendly. The wifi was free and good to. The location is also good, as its near Charles Bridge and in a quiet part of the city. The only disappointment was the breakfast.
Just in the middle of points of interests, easy acces by foot to all major spots. exeptional inside, the room and location. Friendly staff. If you ask for parkplace (add.fee) you get one as close as possible to the hotel(2m). We traveled with big puppy. breakfast far better than basic
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, had lovely views of the Castle (even at night) and had wonderful décor. It was marvellously quiet, which is always a bonus for my wife. The breakfast was superb, plentiful and hot! The staff could not have been more accommodating. I have been doing reviews for a while now and have to say this was the best hotel so far. It is situated very near to a lot of the attractions, with Charles Bridge so close you can see it from the front window and walk to it within a minute.
Very easy to walk to several sites in Prague from this location. Excellent breakfast and lovely areas to eat. Our room was very spacious and interesting decor and painted glass windows. the only downside is that our room (I think it was 110) was very dark and there was no view as this room was adjacent to a type of alleyway and adjoining building so having the windows open was not really an option. Most likely the view rooms are higher priced!
A fantastic cozy hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Its a perfect calm location nearby Charles Bridge. The breakfast is great with many things to choose from. There are a handfull of bars and restaurants within 200 m from the hotel. Many thanks for a perfect weekend!
Stayed at this hotel for one night and then for two on our return to Perth. The hotel is in easy walking distance to old town and a short stroll to Charles Bridge. Also close to trams and Prague castle. One night stop was in a double room which was lovely and the two night stop we chose a suite which was very roomy. Rooms decorated beautifully. Staff pleasant and very helpful. Breakfast was included in the price. No restauant at the hotel but plenty to choose grom in walking distance. Definately would recommend this hotel.
We had a fantastic 4 night stay at the Hotel U Pava. Our room was #205, and was incredible. Worth very Koruna. With 5 windows, 2 large ones overlooking the front green space, 2 large ones with views of the castle......even the single window in the bathroom had castle views!! There are a number of steps to get up there, but there is a lift if needed. We had a very nice king bed. The bathroom was nice and clean, there was a shower/tub, single sink, hair dryer a toilet and a bidet. There was a mini bar and a nice sitting area in the room. There was also a nice flat screen TV that we never even turned on. The wood flooring and the feeling in the room made you feel like you were in old Prague! We stayed in September and had great weather, so much so we had all the windows open every night and loved the cool breeze. Great for sleeping. We also had friends staying in 2 other rooms and they also loved the hotel. We had free wireless internet in our room which was very nice. They do take credit cards for payment, and have a very nice and helpful front desk staff. Breakfast was a very good mix of traditional European breakfast fare. There was the normal help yourself cereals, jams, juices. Coffee or tea and toast. The breakfast room was a very nice room, but seating is limited, although we never had to wait. The staff was very friendly. And the building is very nice. Location is very good and you can walk to everything. The Malostranska station is within a short walk. We would definitely stay at Hotel U Pava again and recommend it to anyone.
We were lucky enough to get a room with absolutely gorgeous views of the castle from both the bed and sitting rooms. That view alone was worth the price of admission. The hotel is located on one of the quieter squares in Mala Strana, but there are great food options all around and it's still just steps from the Charles Bridge. There's the usual bit of street noise, but there did seem to be far fewer drunken louts than there are in the Old Town. Some of the room's furnishings were a little worn, and the color scheme was very, very red, but the bed was comfortable and there were plenty of seating options. Service was excellent and gracious, and the front desk made our dinner reservations and arranged for a very early morning taxi to the airport. One downside: The breakfast was very good, but unlike other Prague hotels, they didn't offer us a "to-go" morning meal when we checked out.
Wonderful helpful staff. The interior is very nice and charming. The breakfast is not big but it is what you need for a good start of the day. The hotel is near the Charles Bridge. The rooms are clean and bathroom is big and fresh.
