Nice service, the room was absolutely beautiful (love the decor! Great atmosphere) if somewhat poorly lit. Bathroom was lovely and the place was impeccably clean. The food at breakfast was also excellent. Only things I'd suggest improving are maybe supplying a scale for weighing luggage at reception, and there weren't really any spare power-points in my room. Those are pretty minor complaints - overall I really enjoyed my stay.
Stayed here for a few days. In a great location just a few minutes walk from Charles Bridge and plenty of restaurants. The hotel itself is nicely decorated and our room on the 1st floor had plenty of windows. A bit cold the first night due to one of the windows not being closed properly. Bathroom was a good size. An espresso coffee machine was in the room but you had to pay each time you used it. No kettle. There was no restaurant for evening meals and no bar which was a bit disappointing as we were looking forward to the fine Czeck wines the hotel advertised on their website. Breakfast was very limited if you do not like eggs. Staff were friendly and helpful. A pleasant hotel with limited parking very rare in the centre of Prague .
U Pava is in the little town ....in a nice square very near to Kampa Island and The Charles Bridge you walk outside the Hotel and you are in the best part of PRAGUE near the Metro and Trams. A perfect position. Then we have the beautiful rooms all in baroque style and some with fantastic rooms. I never wanted to leave my room as it was so very special. The staff are Brilliant at there job and breakfast is wonderful. The care and interest given by everyone is of a very high standard
U Pava was a lovely boutique hotel in Prague. The location was excellent. Near the Charles bridge. A bit hidden so the price was favorable. We spent a little extra for a suite which was worth it if you will spend time in the room. However the bedroom alone was a nice size. We were on the third floor so lighting was dim There were bigger windows on the lower floor. Breakfast was included and very nice selection. Prearranged taxi from the train to hotel was convenient and fair priced. I recommend this little hotel.
I stayed with a friend in a twin-bedded room in the attic. OK, you had to climb lots of stairs to reach it, but it was worth it. Immaculately clean, a sofa and a chair were great facilities after a day tramping the charming streets of Prague. Breakfasts catered for every taste, with fresh fruit always on offer. The staff friendly and helpful. My only gripe: no tea making facilities, just a coffee machine.
The U Pava is a nice and cosy hotel very close to the Charles Bridge. The hotel is clean and special with its paintings everywhere. Breakfast is ok, too. The hotel has a parking but not too many places as it was fully booked when I came.
U Pava is next to the Charles bridge which makes access to the old town easy. It has lots of charm. We had a lovely stay. My only complaint, I tried to take a shower before dinner and there was no hot water. Apparently the capacity of the heaters is limited.
Travel to Prague was a birthday present for my wife. I asked the hotel in advance whether they can organise cake, balloons and drink in room for when we arrive there and it was very perfectly done. I was very grateful of that and my wife also happy and satisfied . The location is indeed very convenient. you can walk and visit many places nearby. Also good restaurants are very close. Breakfast actually became boring for me in forth day. So for long stay I would maybe go some caffe nearby for breakfast after while. We were in room 207 located in part of building with elevator and the room was lovely, temperature, silence, bed quality, pillows all were quite comfortable. We had pretty nice sleep there also amazingly romantic ;). Staff were very helpful and nice. Parking I would say it was a little bit expensive, we came from Germany but we really didn't need car inside Prague. I wish you all enjoy your travel to Prague it is a nice and touristic city. Cheers.
Our first visit to the magical city of Prague was made extra special by staying at U Pava. I've never stayed at such a grand & elegant hotel. We mentioned on booking that this was a special holiday (anniversary and birthday), and the hotel said they had reserved us one of their most special rooms. This proved to be the amazing room 105 which had FIVE large windows and the most extraordinary gilded ceiling. The bed was large and comfortable and the shower hot & powerful. Breakfast was served in the charming lower ground bar area, and offered a old European selection, with some changes each day. We took advantage of the hotel's direct transfer service which was punctual and efficient both ways, and reception staff were unfailingly polite and helpful, including reserving concert tickets for us. Most importantly, U Pava is in an excellent location - a minute or so's walk to Charles Bridge. We adored Prague and hope to return one day, and U Pava will be our first choice of hotel!
We very much enjoyed the free breakfast, beautifully decorated halls and lobby. The staff was very friendly and the location was great. HOWEVER, our room was on the third floor and there was NO ELEVATOR ! My husband and I had quite a bit of luggage since we had been on a river cruise and in Europe for three weeks. Going up the curving stairway was very rough. It was hard enough to walk up with nothing but to pull luggage up and making several trips was very rough. My husband has bad knees and asthma and going up those steps was less than bad for his health. For the type of hotel, I was surprised to see tons of dust in the vent by the shower, no wash cloths (I know, a European thing), and quite a few light bulbs out all over the hotel.Step up your game, U Pava!
