This being my second stay here, and there's not too much I can add from my last review except to say that the staff were extremely friendly and always helpful. We were in room 12, and I have to admit the decor and furniture were a bit dated but, there is major renovation work being done over the next two months which will transform this well established hotel, into a modern one complete with room furniture being replaced etc.. Staying here, I was once again impressed with the location in Prague. The fact your away from the city centre and the infamous stag parties, drunks etc says it all, getting to the centre is so easy too as the Metro,Trams are just a short walk from the hotel or you can walk it in twenty minutes or so and even better the staff will always go out of their way to provide maps, information etc, so no worries here. One thing to note is, there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby which are a great deal cheaper too. As for the hotel breakfast well, there's plenty on offer for everyone including hot and cold buffet. As I said earlier, after the work is finished this hotel will be an extremely modern one and I will return for another stay soon just to check it out. I also have to compliment the friendly staff once again as they're all very friendly, and professional and nothing is too much trouble for these guys, which makes it a pleasant stay.
I've been visiting Prague last week and i stayed at Hotel Oriol. As soon as I arrived I was welcomed by the receptionist Petr. Even if he was quite busy, he was extremely helpful and professional from check-in to check-out . He gave me lot of advice on best places in Prague for eat, drink and having fun (very nice guy). Also I would like to mention Nikola who was the receptionist girl at night. She was always smiling, very polite and courteous. Their service was stunning. The hotel is located in the city center and gives you access to the main attractions in Prague. Highly recommend this Hotel and of course when I will be back in Prague I will definitely choose them again.
We stayed 4 days at the end of October. We took a bus and then a subway from the airport. It is really easy to get to the location and then again to get to the most of the tourist attractions from it. The room was really small, like the two of us and the two luggage filled the space. We had problems with the water and the heating was not functioning properly, like during the day it was really chilly in the room. The room was on the 6th floor, but the elevator is working until the 5th floor, this was bothering. Breakfast was nice.
This was our first time in Prague and we are so glad we chose this hotel. The rooms are very spacious with all that we needed. The thing that made our holiday was the staff, they went above and beyond. We missed our dinner reservation due to traffic etc and as we didn't feel like going out again we wanted take out. They found a traditional food place and had it delivered for us. They didn't have to do that and we shall always be grateful. They were so polite, not just one but ALL of them on the desk (these were the only staff we saw as we didn't have breakfast there) even at 0230 when we had to check out for our early flight. The rooms were clean and tidy and the view over the city as we were on the top floor was superb. Its in a great place for walking to the sights with some nice places for food nearby. WE WILL BE BACK!!! Thank you so much for making our holiday.
Friendly staff, elevator are the only good points. Terrible mattress, very slow WiFi, bad plumbing to the point that our shower just stopped working, crappy furniture, matted dirty green carpet, smells like cigarettes inside.
The hotel has a good location near several Tram lines & 10 Min. walking to subway. also the room was spacious and has a good facilities kitchenette. has a breakfast in the basement with a limited but good variety. wifi is very weak in rooms.
We are in the apartement right now. Everyting is great. Perfect location and the staff is very serviceminded. We recommend this apartement. The area around the hotel is nice and quite. Hopefully we will return to Prag and this hotel again.
The hotel location is great within a walking distance to the city center and in the same time close to a direct metro station to the airport. The staff at the reception desk is very friendly. They speak a very good Englisg and they are always smiling and ready to help. The breakfast is very delicious with all kinds of food. The room is very large and clean. I can only recommend to fix the shower canal in the bathroom in room 22 because it is a little bit blocked.
We have no hesitation in recommending the Hotel Orion. It has an excellent location close to the Metro, shops and restaurants, but still in a quiet residential area. The hotel could benefit from more comfortable seating in the courtyard. The Internet WiFi service was abysmal.
Very nice, quaint hotel! Huge two bedroom suite with a kitchen, great for a family. 1 metro stop from winclas square. Very convenient to downtown attractions using public transportation. Good breakfast.
