No complaints at all. Room was great and breakfast was standard. Would stay here again.
2 first days in Europe. Local residential area close to all needed amenities. Much quieter than inner city. We will use Orion again!
This hotel is in a great location. Neighborhood has lots of great cafes and restaurants. Hotel is very comfy, huge rooms, kitchen, TV, and good bathroom with shower/bathtub. Desk staff can be friendly or surly but the value of what you get here is good.
This was my second stay at Orion Hotel Prague. And it was great again from elegant lobby to knowledgeable and polite staff, to cozy rooms! The hotel is located in a clean and quiet residential area, close to major transportation lines, and only 15 min walking from Wenceslas Square. Their buffet breakfast is amazing with large variety of food made of high quality products. Highly recommend, and will return!
It was my 3rd short vacation trip to Prague. I've always had great experience with Prague hotels, but "Orion" was beyond my expectations! The hotel is located in the quiet residential area, not too far from the center. It is 5min walking to Namesti Miru subway station (A line), and tram #22 (scenic route). However, if you prefer walking, it will take you 10min to get to Wenceslas square (if you know shortcuts), 20min to Palladium shopping center, and 30min to reach Old Town Square. The hotel is very clean and cozy, with beautiful lobby, an elevator, and elegant staircase. It’s run by friendly staff who speaks good English. Special thanks to Martina, who took her time to help me activate the local SIM card on my phone! Reliable Wi-Fi Internet connection is available in the lobby as well as guest rooms. However, if you do not have a computer with you, there is a desktop PC in the lobby for guest access. Rooms are beautiful, with high ceilings and great new furniture. My room felt more like a residential apartment rather than a hotel room: a hallway separates fully equipped kitchen from spacious bedroom, which has an elegant office desk, and a safe. "Orion" will be the hotel of my choice during my next trip to Prague.
Hotel Orion is a pretty good for the price. The bed was rather softer than I anticipated, I would prefer alittle firmer. It's close to one subway station to take you to the center of town where all the tourists are at (about a 5 minutes walk). It is rather safe and has couple of small cafes nearby. The key was rather big and cumbersome, attached to a bell-like deadweight. So everytime I left the building, I left it with the front desk. However, one night, I heard someone actually unlock my door and entered in. He must have asked for the wrong room number, but nevertheless, it was frightful for a stranger to enter your room in the middle of the night. The good thing I enjoyed was there was a mini kitchen with stove range and small refrigerator. There were also utensils, bowls, and pots and pans. Even a coffe maker.
After looking through so many hotel options, I settled on Hotel Orion because [...] offered the best package for airfare and hotel. Now that I've been there, I feel very lucky to have chosen this hotel. The location was perfect, the hotel was spacious and clean...a truly great value, and most of all, the staff were among the best hotel staff I've encountered, especially the manager, [...], and reception staff [...]. They were pleasant, graciously accommodating, and very efficient. Everyone else was very helpful. The breakfast was well prepared and with a decent variety. The fact that the room has a kitchen helped me a great deal especially when I didn't feel like going out. The only suggestion I have is to have a toaster oven or microwave which would make it even better. The location is in a quiet neighborhood yet close enough to all the main areas to visit, and certainly close to all transportation, i.e., the metro, the tram, and buses. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Prague. I surely hope it stays the great value that it is.
