Located somewhat outside the old town but walking distance from Republyk Square (5minutes), and 3 minutes from Florenc metro station. Really great location to generate some value for money; metro costs €1 per ride or €6 for 24 hours! Amazing. Beds in hotel are good; bathroom with shower provide good comfort; floorimg is fabric so does create some allergic reactions with sensitive folks. Rooms are bit noisy - tv sets can be heard from down the hall... hear people speak from room next door. Spacey rooms with good chairs and fully equipped mini bar
One of our best hotel experiences ever. Lovely old art nouveau decor. Reasonable rates. Good restaurant. The staff were always ready with local information or any assistance, but above all, were extremely helpful when my wallet was stolen. They went out of their way to help.
The centrally located hotel pays homage to Alfonse Mucha a famous Czech artist of the Art Nouveau style so staying here is like being in a time warp or a living museum. Rooms were spacious with loads of antique furniture. The large beds were particularly comfortable. The hotel is located close to the Florenc Metro stop and is a 10 minute walk to the Old Town. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free WiFi. Would stay here again
Fascinating unique hotel within walking distance to the old town. The hotel is a homage to Mucha, art works and antiques, it’s all quite romantic. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The tram stop is outside the door and the closest subway station is on the corner of the block. It is also one station from the main Prague railway station. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the breakfast varied daily but was very good and is served in the basement. If you are looking for a sterile modern hotel, this is not it but if you ambiance, uniqueness and a lot of history then hotel Mucha is what you are looking for.
We used this as a base. Close to centre with tram stop very close by and close to metro. Spacious clean room with comfortable beds. Good size shower room with underfloor heating. Concierge very helpful. Good breakfast with choice of hot and cold items. Would definitely consider returning were we to come back to Prague. Recommended.
Very pleasant. Lovely and clean. Liked how it was close to good transport. Beds was very comfy. Supermarket just across the road and lots of places to eat. Picked our bikes up from freedom treks here. All ran very smooth no problems. Staff were polite and helpful. Felt very comfortable staying here.
Pleasant hotel close to Florenc metro station on tram route. Breakfasts were fine and plenty of choice. Staff very friendly and efficient. Rooms very large and some with traditional Czech furniture. Good value.
Nice clean accommodation and good service. Picked up our bikes with Freedom Treks at this place, which was handled well. However, had dinner at restaurant that night of a Caesar Salad which was drowned in mayonnaise with a couple of chunks of chicken and bacon-a bit disappointing. The next morning the hot water went causing a delayed departure for us on our bikes so had to rush breakfast etc..........
Stayed in Hotel Mucha during August for a weekend city break with my partner. We had researched location, services, etc and picked a hotel slightly out of the main hustle and bustle, but with good transport links. Links for metro and tram were good, which was a positive. However, the rooms were not air conditioned and so during a hot August weekend, we needed to have the windows open. We stayed at the front of the hotel and the noise from the traffic outside was very loud and disturbing. Ventilation in the rooms was very poor. Hotel was traditionally decorated, which we had expected from the photographs provided. We stayed in a deluxe suite, which was very spacious but mediocre- not worth the money. When looking for plugs to use, we had to pull the bed side table away from the wall a little- this unearthed a good deal of dust and debris, looking as if it hasn't been thoroughly cleaned for quite some time. There was also an item in the wardrobe, presumably left by a previous guest- again suggesting a thorough clean/ check of room had not been completed prior to a new arrival. The was a half used bottle in the mini bar when we arrived, and it remained there for the whole stay. We usually select a hotel that offers breakfast, so that it can set us up for a day of sight seeing- I'd probably say that due to Prague being so reasonable for food and drink (outside of the main areas), you'd be better off finding your own breakfast. Breakfast was disappointing. A relatively good selection- however, quality not what we have have from similarly priced European city hotels. We took a coffee out from breakfast in the morning to sit on the seating in the open air after food- we were told by an unfriendly, brusque member of the hotel restaurant that we were not allowed to sit on the seats as we were not eating/ drinking in the restaurant/ bar. When we explained that we were staying in the hotel (and that there were a good number of seats available- far from busy), the member of staff was quite rude and told us we were still not allowed; we had to stand on the edge of the pavement. We have stayed in a number of city centre hotels for similar prices and this was disappointing in comparison.
First of all, I booked hotel Taurus, and I was moved to Hotel Mucha. Hotel is old-fashioned, very specific cosy design. I liked all, expect lack of AC. Great tasty breakfast, perfect location nearby 2 metro lines. Perfect WiFi signal. Very loud Ukrainian staff in the breakfast, very unprofessional.
