Pros - Free breakfast which is pretty big compared to other hotels in Europe (i.e. more than just coffee and toast) - Close to a metro station - Helpful staff - Free wi-fi - Each room is furnished with antique furniture so each room has slightly different furniture Cons - Each room has antique furniture so it's not the most comfortable and a little creaky
Very nice hotel in a good location. We enjoyed our stay in the hotel
The hotel is on the fringe of the old city. I had a single room so that maybe the explanation since it was tiny even by European standards. Bath was relatively old Average, ordinary sounds correct
The Mucha Hotel was, for us, a very good stay. We enjoyed the old-fashioned ambiance, with rooms furnished in Mucha-era antiques (1900). The bathroom was modern & spotless. The helpful staff, and the pleasant breakfast room with full breakfast were very much appreciated, as was the free wi-fi in our room. The posters by Alfonse Mucha inspired us to visit the interesting Mucha Museum, with its very informative English language film about the artist's life. We also enjoyed the handy subway and streetcar stops only 1/2 block away. With a 3-day pass to the system (about $16# we had an easy time of traveling around the city. We felt we were experiencing the city in a way not possible at a Holiday Inn or Hilton! And the restaurant nearby, The Wave, provided excellent food, both Czech & Tex-Mex, as well as a view of local social life! #Non-smoking in the basement leval.)
It's a nice hotel. The room was clean and convenient. Quite spacious. Breakfast was nice either. The hotel is located within 10 minutes from the Republic Square where the pedestrian part of the city starts. There is a grocery within 2 minutes of walking distance and next to it there is the metra. In general, I like the experience, and if in Prague may stay there with my family as well.
We had the deluxe room with 3 beds as our 21 yr old son was traveling with us. The room was nice, the TV was poor, the beds were good, the tub was too high and difficult to get in and out of. No view, but in general quiet and restful, clean, comfortable. Block away from Metro and trams - excellent for us. Not in a busy section of town, so no night life for our 21 year old, but travel was easy.
