Room 345 - The panel for the shower at the bath tub didn’t work well - water was all over on the tile floor every time we took a shower and we had to wipe the floor.

This was a great hotel with the best hotel staff hope all hotels where like this

From a warm welcome to a comfortable (if somewhat oddly outfitted) room to a delicious breakfast to a short walk to everything in Prague, this is a perfect base for touring. The hotel street itself is quiet, but just around the corner is a neighborhood of small, excellent restaurants. The hotel is a five-minute walk from the Old Town Square, a five minute walk from the River (great for runners!), a three-minute walk from the Jewish quarter. Our room layout was odd - the bed right up against the closet. But, it was well outfitted - espresso maker, comfortable chairs, nice bed.

Great staff especially the manager Florentine and front desk Ryan

The hotel was excellent for our 4 day stay. It is in a great spot for walking and we enjoyed both the breakfast and spa during our stay. The staff were very welcoming and assisted us with all our queries and booking of train tickets. Enjoyed the stay and would definitely use the hotel again

Excellent location, friendly and competent staff. Comfortable room, clean, excellent breakfast.

From the moment that you enter the Hotel Maximilian, you are greeted with calming zen white, a storied goldfish, and clean contemporary design. A nice touch is the Honesty Bar that lets guest serve themselves and write down what they took to be added to the bill. The breakfast room overlooking the Zen Garden is bright and quiet, with excellent coffee and a wide array of breakfast foods. Our room overlooked the Zen Garden from the Red House, and had comfortable beds and furnishings, and a clean spacious bathroom. An electric kettle in the room with a selection of teas was a nice touch. The location can't be beat -- just a few minutes walk from the bustle and shops of Old Town, yet tucked away in a quiet corner opposite a church and not far from the medieval art museum at St. Agnes cloister, the Charles Bridge, the Rudolf concert hall and many other attractions. We ate twice at Lokal, a traditional yet edgey pub just a few doors away, and there are also a few French places a couple steps from the door. After a few days away in southern Bohemia, we are returning to the Hotel Maximilian for another night before flying home, and are really looking forward to spending more time there.

The hotel staff were all excellent. Polite. Friendly. All spoke excellent English. The room was spotless and well-stocked. The included breakfast was the best we had while traveling over the course of nine days across The Netherlands, Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria.

Awesome location and breakfast makes Maximillian a great choice to visit Prague

If the hotel staff is what makes a great hotel, this one is second to none! They just seem to do the very best in every way, from the concierge to the maid service to the breakfast buffet. They also have regular events and if you are a runner, a run with the staff around the city. (I did this and found it a great way to get to know the city, the staff person who accompanied me as a great guide to the city and a pleasure to run with)
