The Kampa Garden Hotel is situated just minutes from the Charles Bridge and the John Lennon Wall - two of the must-sees. A park is immediately next to the hotel and the Vltava river is a stroll through the park. The hotel is really a B & B, as it provides only a breakfast (which is full-on excellent). It does however provide little free 'Tapas' for guests in the small lounge from 2pm daily! GOOD and NOT-SO-GOOD: Room cleaning is perfunctory, and is done, I believe, every three days, though towels are plentiful. The sink in the bathroom (Room 102) had no sink plug, but after my request the Maintenance Man came and (after one failed attempt - plug didn't fit) supplied one which fitted. I strongly suggest that non-slip safety mats should be available for inside the showers. The room cleaner more often than not didn't replenish supplies of coffee, tea, sugar. Milk is not provided at all. The room had a fridge whose door had to be manouvred in order to close it. There was a 'Nespresso'- type coffee maker and pods were provided when the cleaner remembered. What was outstandingly good was the the attitude of the staff, both in the breakfast room, and, particularly, two of the Receptionists. Two young men, Jaroslav and Jan, were exceptionally helpful, friendly and professional and were a credit to the hotel. They are the reason for my overall Five Star rating.

love the patio on the river, amazing breakfast buffet was a 10, thery could get the other coffee functions working on the machine. But we were able to get what we needed in the end. Location is a 10 as well. Reason for 4 stars is there is no airconditioner and we had 30 degree weather. BiGi was good to work with and attentive.

I really liked the location of this hotel being very near the Charles' bridge and access to places near by. I will advise anyone who's interested in this place to stay during cool weather. NO AIR CONDITIONER at this location and you do not want to leave the window open for mosquitos and bugs will come in during hot days. Also, the water jars in the lobby is not being filled as often. The size of the water that's available for occupants is simply not enough or not available during the night and morning.

Great location, very good breakfast, lots to chose from Inc bacon,eggs,fruit, waffle maker,cereals and continental,they even had prosecco for a champagne breakfast. The room was ok but carpet was really dirty and the curtains were not blackout which made room extremely light ( glad I had eye mask lol). The lift didn't work for 3 days we were there and we was on top floor so bit inconvenient. Don't know how disabled person would have managed.

We really did like everything about our stay Even the communication before we arrived was great. The berakfast was fantastic and so much choice. The location, just next to the bridge was perfect, providing a quiet area with easy access to the town. The staff were also friendly and accomodating. We would definitely stay again if we return to Prague.
