I travel a lot - 70 countries thus far - mostly for business. As a result, at times I get to stay at 4 & occasionally 5 star hotels but Kampa Garden is right up there with the best when it comes to service and extra touches. The breakfasts are delicious; free mini bar; extremely helpful & kind staff; and even thoughtful touches such as packing a breakfast to go if you have an early flight! Just loved everything about this place and of course, it’s literally steps( quite a few!) away from Charles Bridge. A note to persons with disabilities: the hotel has a small elevator but the entrance has about six steps. There is a chairlift that can be used to go up the steps if the person can transfer.
The hotel is located close to the Charles Bridge, so you have easy access to both sides of the city. The staff is super nice - made me a cup of tea while I was waiting for my cab to the airport :) My room was more than okay, and so was the breakfast.
Stayed here with my daughter for 5 nights in October. Location was perfect - near the Charles Bridge but very quiet area. Rooms were clean and well stocked. lovely view from our room. Breakfast very good and plentiful. Staff friendly and helpful. Complimentary airport to hotel transfer was very convenient. If I were lucky enough to return to Prague I would stay here again!
I stayed with my family for one night on our way out at the end of our holidays. The hotel has cozy rooms that are small but well thought and have a free mini bar! Breakfast was delicious and varied just what you need to keep you going all the way to dinner! You can walk out and climb the stairs straight on to Charle’s Bridge.
I stayed here for two weeks during the Christmas 2017 holiday. The hotel, while might seem a bit unassuming from the outside, is very, very nice, clean and quiet. Fourth floor room 401 (accessible by elevator or stairway), a double room overlooking the canal (Kampa is an island) with a view that looked out on Petrin Hill. The manager, Petra and her staff, including Isabelle and Linda, are very accommodating and helpful. In-room coffee, teapot and mini-fridge (stocked daily with water, beer and treats) was a welcome surprise. Secure, free internet. Very comfortable bed with large pillows. The bathroom was large with a corner shower (hot water on demand), plenty of towels, hairdryer, even a towel warmer. They also supply shampoo and soap. Wardrobe with safe to store valuables. Breakfast included and they lay out quite a spread that anyone would more than acceptable. Easy walking to both the Charles and Legion bridges, or wander up into Malá Strana or over to Old Town and beyond. Also close to tram station. The hotel has a small private taxi service they work with reasonable prices. Other amenities: access to a computer on the lower level. During the morning there was a large pot of coffee and bowl of fruit in reception, and in the evening, there was mulled wine. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Great visit during christmas time.Lovely service and good breakfast, nice rooms! Had a relaxing time, the location was so central and accesible to anywhere we wanted to go. Close to Charles bridge and there is also a nice museum and park near by
I have just come back from staying at this hotel for the fourth time and it is such an lovely clean and comfortable place to stay and is right near Charles Bridge. It is in the quiet part of town so sleep is peaceful! The staff are excellent and so helpful and breakfast is amazing! I shall return as soon as I can!
This hotel is perfectly situated in one of the most beautiful parts of Prague. Near Charles Bridge and the castle surrounded by winding narrow cobble streets and the architecture that makes Prague what it is. There is a lovely park right beside the hotel with a river with cafes, restaurants and everything else you need just steps away. The atmosphere in this part of town is the true Prague experience. The best thing by far was the staff. So helpful and friendly. I have stayed in many hotels in Europe and this could be the best. It is also quiet, clean and very comfortable in the rooms. Whatever the reason for your visit, I highly recommend this gem.
The hotel is ideally located for visiting the oldest parts of Prague, as well as being only a five minute walk to the Charles Bridge, which takes you right into "Old Town" (which is newer than either the "Low Town" where the hotel is, or the oldest part of the town with the cathedral, etc, up on the hill). The standout feature of this hotel is the client service. Even in crazy expensive five star hotels (like the Ritz Carleton) I have never received the kind of over the top service that this hotel seems to routinely give every customer. Would you like your room fridge stocked with free beer? No problem. No parking out front? The staff will take the keys to your car and grab a spot for you when one opens up - no problem. Leaving at 6:00 am for the airport? Let me have a breakfast made for you to take in a bag so you don't get hungry. Wow. Just amazing. There are also a good number of excellent restaurants close by. But be sure and check Yelp first, because there are also a number of very mediocre restaurants as well!
Weve been in Prague for a weekend trip during October, and found the hotel via booking.com (the recommendations were great). Very nice stuff, nice breakfast. Great location. The hotel itself is small and basic, but great for traveling couples. Good value for money!
