Hotel Julian is not in the center of the action, but it is only a few minutes walk to Charles Bridge and the city center. Being on the other side of the river and about 1 km from the tourist section makes for a quiet retreat and a good selection of restaurants with friendlier prices than in the center center. We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay starting 8 November. The staff is wonderful. They helped us retrieve our lost luggage and made many suggestions for our visit. They even helped us figure out how to use Uber to transfer to another hotel, where we started our river cruise. The breakfast is awesome. A lot of choices and kept fresh by the very attentive staff. The only downside was the noise from the street. The room was hard to cool. I opened the window, but the traffic noise was consistent throughout the night. We'll definitely stay again when we revisit Prague, but we'll request a room away from the street.

We stayed at the Julian for the final day of our trip to Central Europe. This hotel was recommended in Rick Steve's travel book so we wanted to stay there. It is a lovely, quaint hotel with a very friendly staff. My flight was at 7:10am and the staff arranged for a car to the airport leaving at 5:00am. They also made me a take-along breakfast; two delicious ham and cheese sandwiches and an apple. The hotel has a rooftop restaurant area, that would be very nice to enjoy dinner from, but the night we were there they were short on staff (chef and server only) and it was taking too long. The rooftop would be a nice place to have a beer and enjoy the view. We ended up going down to the restaurant on the -1 floor and it's a small, multi-level, pub-like atmosphere. The food was excellent, and was faster. We were not in a hurry so just enjoyed being there and meeting some other travelers.

I had an amazing trip. The city, the location of the hotel., the people, the breakfast....Just amazing. Love the rooftop, you can see the castle. I would stay at this hotel again!

I found the Julian Hotel in Prague to be a little jewel. It is well located and reasonably priced. The staff was super helpful and friendly. They are very well organized and provide their clients with anything they might need to get around quickly in Prague from selling you transit tickets to the Hop 0n Hop Off bus tickets. The rooms were clean and comfortable with great details like a coffee machine and complementary coffee, water and tea.

Stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights during our recent vacation to Prague and had an excellent experience. Although the location was a bit far from the main train station it was well connected by tram. The inside of the hotel lobby was very well decorated with antique pieces including a armor suit ! The staff were very helpful and upgraded us to a bigger room to accommodate our entire family more comfortably. The room itself was great with high ceilings and big windows giving it a wonderful old world ambiance. Bathrooms were quite roomy unlike a few other hotels that we experienced in Europe! Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good value for money accommodation in Prague

The staff was excellent, the room was decent but comfortable. The breakfast is ok, nothing special but nothing to disappoint. The hotel resturaunt downstairs is quite nice, good food and very quiet. It makes a good stopping point after seeing the town. The location is good, especially for the price. It is a15-20 min walk to get to the main areas or a short tram ride. If you want a smaller hotel (that still has it's own resturaunt) then this is a very good option. For couples on a weekend trip I'd spend the extra money to get a better location, but this hotel won't disappoint!

The Hotel is excellant, it is located in the Little Quarter, away from the crowds. It is still close enough to see all the sites, and the Tram stop is just a block away. The staff is great and very helpfull. The roof top terrace is a great place to relax in the evenings.

We thought we had simply ordered a room with a double bed and were provided a suit. While the furnishings were simple, having the extra room made the trip more enjoyable. The public area and breakfast room are very nice. There is an excellent European breakfast plus scrambled eggs and bacon. This is truely an international hotel with visitors from all over.

Hotel staff were very helpful. Location close to main attractions and within walking distance. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious.

The hotel was quiet and close to trams to any part of the city. I liked being away from the activity in the main part of town. You could walk to all the main atractions if you chose to do that.

The Hotel Julian is in a nice location in Mala Strana, it is convenient to the tram and everything was a short walk. The hotel and the rooms are very clean and quiet as well as restful after a busy day of touring. Breakfast was very good with lots of variety and the employees were friendly and courteous.
