I have visited several hotels in Prague. Hotel General is one of the best place where I stayed in Prague. The service of the employees are amazing especially very nice receptionist which was very helpful and I have got very good advices from him thank you mr.Martin. The location of the hotel is pretty handy close to the city centre and also close to the business district in Prague 5. My room was nicely clean and I found there all I need for my comfortable stay. I am sure will come back soon ANDY
it was a nice experience in Prague nice team nice service there you can really make moments in Prague close to everywhere the team there are very cooperative and supporting in whatever they can to make you enjoy your time big thanks to all of them
We booked a one week stay at Hotel General for our 2nd wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed! The service and staff at this hotel are amongst the best we have ever experienced. Upon arrival, we were given welcome drinks and Petra from the front desk gave a thorough orientation of where we were and the best way to see the sights. The location is great. About 2 blocks from the metro station and where all the trams stop. Most sight seeing landmarks are just a tram ride away. In saying that, Prague itself is not very big and easily walkable from the hotel. All on all, an amazing stay. Highly recommended and will definitely stay here again if we are every back in Prague.
Everything was perfect, close to the metro line B Andel, 10mn from the heart of the city, 45 mn from the airport . Everybody in the hotel was nice, breakfast was excellent (super croissants). The bedrooms are very pleasant ans quiet. We highly recommend this hotel!
As Husband and Wife who have done many city breaks in Europe, we can honestly say that this is the best hotel by a long mile. We arrived on Sunday 16th July which was for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Before our stay I had been emailing the front of desk to ask about a few things I could do to as a surprise for my Wife during our stay. The response was amazing the staff were only too pleased to make the stay at the hotel a memorable one. The replies to my emails were very quick indeed. We were greeted by Jana who gave us welcome drinks and sat with us to tell us all the best routes to see the best of Prague. Also, she then proceeded to tell us that as it was such a special occasion they had upgraded us to one of the General suites free of charge WOW!! Also they had arranged for a bottle of Sparkling wine to be in the room when we arrived. The room or should i say apartment more like was simply stunning! The decor the layout was out of this world! Then on the day of our anniversary, they arranged for yet another bottle of sparkling wine and a single red rose which was brought to the room. The 3 days we spent in Prague were truly memorable especially the stay at the hotel General. After walking almost 9 miles on average each day to come back to the hotel was a pleasure. The breakfast in the morning was lovely a great choice of items to suit all tastes. I never write reviews on trip advisor I leave it to my Wife! But this time I felt so strongly about our 5 Star treatment at the Hotel General from the lovely staff I felt compelled to write something. I cannot put into words just how good this hotel is in both the spotless rooms beautiful decor and the most important of all the staff who went above and beyond to make this a most wonderful stay and 25th anniversary. Thank you, Hotel General see you again soon!
The staff really took care of us in the very best way. We ordered transport from and to the airport which was very comfortable and well worth the money, about 28€ one way. Except for the normal offering at breakfast, you get a meny from the waiter with choices of porridge, omelette, scrambeled eggs, french toast and different kinds of coffee. The staff also arranged the softness of our beds. Extremely good service at the reception. Enclosing a picture from our visit to the brewery Staropramen, a three minute walking from the hotel.
As other have written here this is a good hotel and it breathes luxury. The staff is professional and the rooms are beautiful and breakfast is lavish. Parking spaces are limited and the entrance to the parking lot is extremely small, which makes it unsuitable for large cars. A downside was the TV set that was on in the breakfast rooms every morning blaring out pop music; this felt completely out of place in such a luxury place. What we did not like in our rooms is that the curtains are hung up in such a way that sunlight comes in early morning waking you up at 5 AM. Remarkably, when we reported this during check out the receptionist replied that this was a known issue that other guests also complained about. This made me wonder why the management did not fix this known problem.
We visited the hotel in the beginning of June. The hospitality of Petra and Jana was beyond remarkable. We were upgraded to a suite which was magnificent. The breakfast was very very good. All in All - the stay was perfect and definitely.
This hotel was simply amazing! The staff were incredible, the rooms lovely, breakfast was simple but delicious and the location was away from the busyness of the old town, but close enough to walk there! I can't strongly enough encourage you to stay here!
Old world accommodations with beautifully appointed rooms. We were upgraded on arrival and had the unexpected benefits of a far more lavish setting than we originally anticipated. The staff was top drawer! Attentive and incredibly patient with our many questions. AND a fabulous breakfast!
