Very helpful receptionsts, Very good breakfast, quite varied for 3-4 nights Location great: 15 minutes from the old city (much cheaper than the hotels in the city centre) Room 402 recommended: quiet facong to the back street :) Dinner tip: Lavička Zahradní Restaurace, 100 m, good prices, tasty dishes, great service
Nice and clean. Friendly staff. Just a short walk away from the TV Tower where you can have the best view of the whole city. Best restaurant in Prague at top of the tower, watching the sunset while having dinner.
Lovely hotel. I really, really enjoyed my stay there. The staff were fabulous, very helpful. Everything was spotless and clean. We had a spacious room (with three beds), with comfortable mattresses and a warm room. (You could alter the temperature to your liking). There was a kettle with tea and coffee provided. Likewise there was shampoo, slippers etc provided. I am surprised that others have said that there wasn't a large variety of food provided. I think they went above and beyond with the breakfeast buffet. There was yogurt and a wide range of fruit, cheese, ham and chicken slices, pate, bread of all sorts, sausages, boiled eggs, 4 or 5 different types of cereal, three types of desert. Tea and milk, apple juice or orange juice. I enjoyed making the decision as what to have every morning. All the food was fresh and warm. The surrounding area does look a bit shabby but everyone there minds their own business (inc. the drunks and homeless people). The Czechs are a friendly people, everyone is willing to help even if they don't speak your language. The hotel is located in a residential area, away from the old town. It is a 25 min stroll down the main road to the old town or you can take any of the local trams/ buses to get there. That is the only downside. Though the hotel is located to main road it was quiet at night. You could hear the odd tram but it was far more quiet than I expected. The hotel is very reasonably priced and the quality of services offered for the price are outstanding. Great hotel for a get-away.
Nice hotel for a city-break. Close to tram station, 3 stops to city centre. Small but tidy rooms, Not a big breakfast buffet but with daily variation. It's relatively cheap and offers good value for money. Photo taken from teh Zizkov tower; worth a visti half a mile from the hotel.
Just a bus ride away and on the outskirts of Olde Town-square is the bustling little town in Praha. We stayed at Hotel Carlton which offers a local vibe and feel to any travelers stay. There were other travelers there from Italy, Spain, France and the States, the staff spoke english very well and there is a small market across the street as well as access to the Metro. Breakfast is served downstairs and the rooms are great for the price and charm of this place
A very good hotel with nice helpfull and friendly staff. The room was clean and well sized. The location of the hotel was ok,four tram stations from old town and tram tickets can be bought at the reception. Brekfast was nice but the warm food was cold a couple of mornings. The total experience was very good.
We spent 5 nights here, the room was clean, the staff friendly and the buffet breakfast was delicious! Although the hotel is in the Praha 3 district, a tram more or less outside the door had us in the city centre in under 8 minutes.
The Hotel Carlton is located in Zizkov, Prague just a short bus or tram ride from Old Town. What it lacks in location, it makes up for in quality, value, and customer service! Our room was more like a suite, with a huge bathroom, living room, and a bedroom with a very comfortable king sized bed. All the amenities were provided, toiletries, slippers, there was minibar, and a safe. They even gave us a complimentary ticket for the bus! The breakfast in the morning was excellent, and the staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. There isn't much to see in Zizkov, and unfortunately the tram was being repaired, but it was an easy, quick bus ride into Old Town Prague. If you are looking for a good value I would recommend staying in Zizkov when visiting Prague, and highly recommend the Hotel Carlton!
We stayed at the Carlton for 5 nights and had a great time. The staff were helpful, hotel was very safe and clean and the neighbourhood was great. Only issue was the very low shower head. Would definitely use this hotel again.
