We stayed at the Carlton for 5 nights and had a great time. The staff were helpful, hotel was very safe and clean and the neighbourhood was great. Only issue was the very low shower head. Would definitely use this hotel again.
i had booked a double Room for myself to be more comfotable ,but as seee this room i sort this is a bit small for trhe Price i paied. Then i notice the day after i s my two friends arrived at the Hotel and they got in to the room and this was bigger as my, i did go downstairs and colplaint and the Gentleman behinde the Recaption Desk was verry helpfull and got me a diffrent room for the rest of my stay. thank you verry much for the help.
I checked on 1 st may 2017 & Checked out on 4 th may . I regret to write that the 4 star category did not live up to our expectations as the Room on 5 th floor had sloping room & the rooms very very small with no window . Even the air condition was not working & requested the manager to help to get it repaired . Unfortunately the whole hotel had 1 person to manage front desk / travel desk / maintance all in 1 . Even the Roof ceiling had transparent glass which could not be opened as it was raining . There was No Restaurant or Coffee shop in the 4 star hotel . I do not know how the hotel has got 4 star as it was very visible from outside that all 7/8 country flags which were put up of which 3/4 were Torn & the balance 3/4 were tied to the Rod . Most important lobby was less than 100 sq.Ft..& only 1 staff to manage the whole hotel . Except the good was the lady on the front desk was very helpful . Request Trip advisories to visit & check the infrastructure & maintance of the hotel to confirm my review .
I visited this property in April 2017 and stayed there 4 night. This is located outside the Old City, Prague, however the main road to your left of the hotel leads to the Old Town. Leisurely walk of 25 mins will take you to the Old City. There are Trams (plenty) if you don't want to walk. The location itself will look as if its a bit messy and dodgy but trust me we walked in and out of the hotel to and from the Old Town N number of times and even on odd times, didn't experience any problem. You will find home less people and drunk ones but they mind their own business, which is kind of expected on the worlds biggest beer consuming nation (even city perhaps!) The property itself is very good and safe. Its very quite due to the location but I found it to be busy during morning / breakfast times. Good spacious rooms and breakfast has good variety for you to try. Reception is 24hours and really helpful. Rooms were made everyday. My wife is a profound tea lover and was very pleased to see the kettle in the room. Mini bar in the room is good too but I suggest you buy the booze outside and bring it in as they are so cheap. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone as its not very expensive and what you get for you money there is good value. The receptionist suggested some restaurants, the Lavicka in particular, was amazing. There are plenty of restaurants near by to eat if you are hungry.
Our stay was perfect, it's a clean and friendly place. The staff was very helpful. We recommend this place and we would gladly stay there again. It's conveniently located. The beds are comfortable and it was very quiet.
Stayed at the Carlton for one week in April. The breakfast is very good with a great selection for all tastes. The rooms are well presented with a safety deposit box for your valuables. Location is ideal with tram stops a short walk from the hotel, the local area has excellent bars and restaurants, highly recommended.
Excellent hotel, 3 tram stops from the centre. Happy to be away from the hubbub at night. Good local restaurants within walking distance, very reasonable and the quality of the food excellent. Hotel is very welcoming, rooms very clean, tea and coffee making replenished daily and coffee and fruit available in reception area. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, cooked food alongside the usual continental fare, very good selection. Supermarket across the road. We were at the front of the hotel and trams are frequent so either drink plenty or bring ear plugs.
It was my 4 stay in Carlton Prague. What can I say, perfect as usual. Great location-only 3 tram stops from the center. A lot of trams/buses stops near the hotel. Huge slection of pubs in the hotel area. We asked to change the room-no problem. The staff realy trying to help. The breakfast is very good-you'll not be hungry. The only problem was that they charged us for some bottle from mini bar we did not take. Thay said we took it on our first day of stay. The charge was 150 korune (6 usd)- but it was really annoying!!! So all in all- great hotel for fair price! Just check the mini bar on the arrival :-)
Hotel and staff were excellent great location, however the night porter was very unaccommodating to our group and made us feel unwelcome, would be slow to bring a large group of people to this hotel again.
For this hotel the weekend starts on a Thursday night which according to the receptionist and reservation department justifies a price increase of 300%! I paid around 120 euro for a Thursday night and around 40 euro for the night before. Amazing. I even double checked if there was a bit of a problem or mistake with reservations...it was no mistake. The parking is in front of the hotel on public area and not free during the day but free after 18.00 until 8.00 next day. Not very convenient if you are a tourist. Staff is friendly and rooms are fully equipped, but, as always, noisy. Bring earplugs, it helps😉.
