If we weren’t being woken up by the builders at 7am, it was the cleaners at 8am banging around outside the room and if it wasn’t either of those it was the noisy guests playing music at 3am and slamming doors and drawers. It was a shame really as on the whole it was a nice little hotel in a handy location. We were never asked when we checked out if everything was okay otherwise I would have passed my feedback on there. When I rang reception to complain about the noise they just said we will come and listen and nothing else happened from there. The walls are very thin as we could hear every little sound. We were looking forward to having a nice relaxing break with some lazy mornings and unfortunately it ruined it for us!

The Carlton Hotel is located just outside of the city center. It can easily be reached by tram. The hotel is in a building from the 19th century having the charm that is often missing in chain hotels. The rooms that gives on the toad where the tram runs through is noisier, compared to the room which we occupied and which is located on the opposite street. The rooms have been recently refurbished, are spacious and clean, equipped with a comfortable double bed, a large work desk, refrigerator and kettle for making tea and coffee. Wi-Fi worked perfectly. The bath room was of respectable size, fitted with a bathtub, also clean and newly renovated. The breakfast is richly garnished, served in the basement in a vaulted cellar. The hotel has parking of its own but has an agreement with the nearby Olanska hotel. The parking fee is reasonable with € 15.-per 24 hours. In front of the hotel are a few public parking with limited parking time for check-in. The staff is courteous and helpful. Two free return tickets for the tram were offered. Throughout the day there is free coffee in the lobby. The price/performance ratio is excellent.

Asked in advance, and was given, a room with a double bed and bath. Should also have asked for a room away from the tramlines, although the noise wasn't that bad being on the top floor. Our room (508) was clean and spacious. It had a large comfortable bed, a seating area, coffee maker, mini-bar and safe. Breakfast was ok. The staff weren't very proactive at topping up the breakfast buffet, but would do so if asked. All in all we enjoyed our stay and, given that we only paid a total of £133 for 4 nights including breakfast via, it was excellent value for money.

We stayed 3 nights in Carlton Hotel Prague. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was well equipped (hair dryer, water boiler, towels, soaps, sewing kit, slippers). It was very clean, the bin and the WC.paper were changed in a daily basis. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was also really fine, many choices, nice place to eat. The hotel is situated well, the centre can be reached with tram (4-5 stops) but the hotel itself is located in a less crowded place.

Stayed at the Carlton for 3 nights in March 2018 on a city break with my wife. On initially arriving and seeing the hotel from the outside we had a little trepidation as in the dark it seemed a little run down etc. however when we went inside we were totally set at ease. Internally the hotel is great, it has a bar area open at nights (not busy, just there if you want a drink or a coffee) It has a lift to all floors (we were on the top floor 5th floor). the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The exchange rate offered by the hotel for sterling cash was amongst the best rates we found. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice. hot options, cold cuts and cheeses, cereals, fruit, different breads, jams. pretty much all you could ask for. Our room was very nice, big comfy bed and very clean. There are numerous shops, take-away's and restaurants within a few minutes walk and a supermarket right across the road. not so good points (not complaints, just be aware):- 1. The shower (whilst being very powerful and hot) was not fixed at head height so you need to use by hand or put up with it at chest height.....still very good though but just a little awkward. 2. The only UK tv channel is BBC world service/news... you are in Prague after all so we didnt expect any more. 3, Our room faced onto the main street and the trams can be noisy (especially between 0500 and 0700 when the roads aren't busy so they are going fast) not so much the noise as the low frequency vibration from these heavy trams. I doubt this would be any issue on the sde street side of the hotel. 4. There is no parking at the hotel so you either find a space on the road (which can be very difficult and pay for what time you need - not cheap) or you can park in a car park about 300m away which is aroud £12 per 24 hours. in reallity if you are doing a city break you dont really need a car as the tram stops just around the corner and costs about £4 for a day ticket. Over all we were very happy with the Carlton and will certainly stay again - albeit we may ask for a room on the side street next time

Booked a 2 night trip on Groupon. This was the hotel we were allocated. Room was a good size. Lovely bathroom, with a full bath which was nice. Breakfast was good. Lots of choice, good selection. The hotel was just 2 tram stops from middle of town. The hotel staff were really informative and helped us plan days out. Overall lovely hotel and made our visit to Prague a joy.

Hotel Carlton was a well-run establishment during my 30 day Study Abroad trip; the amenities were adequate (though not extravagant nor should they have been at such a reasonably priced Hotel). I found the Hotel Attendants to be polite and helpful; we called on them a good bit (being that we practically lived in the Hotel for one month); the breakfast was a major plus; the property is conventionally located off of populous Metro Station (Kižíkova) which has plenty of local restaurants, bars, and green space. I would not hesitate to recommend Hotel Carlton to friends/family, as you get a lot of bang for your buck and not surrounded by tourists and all that (at times) comes with that crowd (eg: it's not Old Town).

I can recommend this hotel wholeheartedly! With a clear conscience I can say it is one of the most reasonably priced hotels near the center of Prague, considering how close to town centre it is situated (and how easily accessible it is by public transport). Rooms are cozy, hotel is quiet and you couldn´t ask for better staff either. Also breakfasts were delicious. We enjoyed our stay very much and we´re looking forward to our next visit.

We visited Prague at the beginning of this year. We chose the Carlton Hotel trusting the very positive reviews we read online, even though it was a little more expensive than other hotels in the same area. As for our experience, we cannot say anything very negative nor very positive about the hotel. First of all, in our bedroom there was no light on the ceiling, but only table lamps. It was very awkward because the room was very dark this way and it was also uncomfortable every time we walked in the room. Secondly, the room was always very hot. However, we experienced this in all the hotel we have tried so far, so we were not surprised. The area in which the hotel is located is nice, a bit out from the city centre, but it is full of pubs and various restaurants. The breakfast, which was included in the price for our room, was average, nothing more than what we experienced in some 3 stars hotels, but yet it was okay. We did not like the fact that people at breakfast were forced to sit near each other because the tables were mostly for 5-6 people, whereas most of the guests travelled in couples. Personally, I would have preferred having a little more privacy. The staff was nice and polite, nothing to say about them! Overall, we did not have a bad experience, but it did not completely meet our expectations.

Stayed for a week. Best of all - amazing staff (thnx Alina, Lukas and Yaroslav and the warm and smiling cleaning lady - you made our trip extra pleasant). Great location (tramstop right in front of you which takes you anywhere u want, to central station it is 10minutes of walk) Breakfasts are really tasty and good Rooms are clean and nice. The only thing I wish was that the doors would have better sound isolation because you practically could hear EVERYTHING happening in the corridor, or make some sort of softer door clothing so we do not get disturbed by constant extremely loud door slamming of other guests
