Cloister Inn

Hotel easily accessible by car. Staff friendly and helpful, Room clean and spacious however no tea/coffeemaking facilities in rooms. Within walking distance of many sights. We would happily stay again.

Decided to go to Prague last minute and this seemed like the best hotel left for the money. The hotel was fairly easy to find from mustek station considering Prague streets are like a maze. When we arrived we were treated by friendly staff. We were shown to our room and even got a complimentary bottle of water and 2 beers. (We could see the priorities here) anyway the room was great and was clean like the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was the standard European type buffet which was good. All in all I would recommend this hotel.

Stayed at Cloister inn twice now. Both times was really happy with my room and the hotel in general. Cloister Inn perfectly located, just 5 mins from Charles Bridge and about same time to famous Astronomical clock in the centre of old town. I have to say that hotel is very clean (nowadays rare thing for 3 star hotels), rooms are kept in a very good order. Thumbs up to the girls, who are working hard to keep hotel so clean. Definitely will stay again and recommend to others. Well done to all at Cloister Inn and thank you for looking after us.

The location was good and staff was nice. Also, the room was big. Here are some areas that could use improvement to make this a better experience. Shower: was super small and a very slippery bottom. Coffee: it's nice that they have 24/7 coffee in lobby, but some of the rooms(ours) was in the annex and a long walk through a literal maze of hallways to get to the lobby. Those of us who like a morning coffee before getting fully dressed prefer an in room coffee pot. Our room had plenty of space for a coffee maker. The more problematic additional issue is you can't take coffee back to your room, so again, you must go to the lobby and have your cup or two of coffee. Ridiculous policy to not allow coffee in our room and never experienced that in another hotel before... and we travel a lot. Breakfast: it's full on European. You will get items typically in an American lunch, like hot dogs, baked beans, pickles, lunch meat and cheeses. About a third of the guests that I saw were North American and scrambled eggs would be a great addition along with some bacon. Most European hotels are serving that now. You will find yogurt and cereal. They had some breads for toast, but the toaster barely works. I put mine through twice and it didn't even get slightly warm.

With wonderful FREE machine made hot chocolate in the lobby area. Great history.... three buildings make up the one hotel. Must leave at the fact that every time you ask now because the keys are made of very expensive wood. Good location.

The Cloister Inn is exactly the kind of hotel I look for when traveling: clean, friendly, and well-located. Breakfast was good, and coffee in the lobby was a nice treat. I wish every hotel was as welcoming as this one.

Visited Prague on a 3 night city break as a British Airways package. We arranged a transfer to and from the hotel prior to our visit which is an easy way of arriving in a strange city. On arrival at the hotel the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, they checked us in then had us put our case in the luggage room as it was too early to check-in. When we came back from lunch they gave us our key then sent us off on a journey to find our room. The hotel is split over at least two buildings which are not next door to each other but they are connected by corridors. The hotel is very clean and bright and all the staff are polite. The room we had was quite large with two single beds, two seater sofa and two comfy chairs. There is a desk, tv with a good selection of international channels and a decent size wardrobe with plenty of storage and a safe. There is also A/C in the room but I couldn't get it off speed 3 so it was a bit noisey (and I work in the industry). The bathroom had a good size walk-in shower which had good heat and pressure. There was a toilet, a sink where the mixer tap was 18 inches above the sink, not sure why but be careful you can get splash back. There is a hair dryer and electric towel rack. The breakfast room is in the building where reception is on the 4th floor. There was a selection of real fruit juices, tea and coffee machine. My only complaint is the milks are all located in the corner so if someone is using the machine no one else can get to the milk. There was hot food of boiled eggs, baked beans and continental sausages. There was a selection of cheese and meats, cerials and toast. There was a selection of breads and yogurts.. The room is quite big but can still fill up so plan your breakfast. There is always free tea and coffee from a machine in reception. The hotel is safety conscious where you need to use your keyfob to access the inner part of the hotel and they close the outer doors early at night and you have to use the buzzer so reception let you in. The hotel is well located 5 minutes from the river and the pedestrian bridge across. The local old town is within 10 minutes and the sites over the river are about a 20 minute stroll away. Food and drink can be expensive or very cheap if you look around and use outlets off the tourist streets. Beer can be found for as little as £1.50 a pint in various colours and Czech beer is very good. The brewery pubs seem to be pricey for beer. Over a 2 week period we have stayed in 3 hotels in Eastern Europe and this was the best by far.

The reception staff were very welcoming, helpful and awesome. Hotel was in an excellent location and easy to walk everywhere. The breakfast served was more than enough food and lots of it! I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone wanting to stay in beautiful Prague!

We stayed at cloister 4 nights and had a wounderful time there. The location is the best. A few minuts walk from the old city on the one side and narodni st. On the other. Very close to the river- wick makes it perfect for an evening out. Also very close to main tram routs ( tickets are avaliable at hotel's desk) The staf is very halpful and friendley. The hotel is quiet, clean and warmly decorated. Breakfast buffet is not very rich but the food is good and fresh, and they change the veriaty every morning. The lobby is a main adavantage. It is well and comfurtably fernished and has free good coffee And a selection of tea. If you have a long waiting its a very Pleasent staying. The only disadvantage is that the bed is alittle bit low. It was comfortable but i belive that for some peaple it might be a problem. We absolutly recomend cloister inn

Hotel was within easy walking distance of main sites, yet it was quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good range of food. Rooms were clean and spacious. Altogether an absolutely wonderful holiday. Hotel room had a welcome drink of beer and a bottle of water. The lounge area had a hot drinks machine and it was good to relax there at night. There was free wifi throughout hotel.
