Despite serious misgivings with the spa which I can only imagine were swiftly taken care of after my departure, the "hotel experience" is among the best in Europe, if not the best in Prague. The spaces are grand, all your senses are satisfied. Harpsichord, Spanish guitar, the gentle tinkle of utensils on dish wear and the thought of fine food. By name, the security staff of Daniel and Martin always with a hearty greeting, the waitstaff and hostesses Paula, Ilana and Svetlana with elegance unmatched, right up to the top management, who handle issues with a swift grace. The Boscolo Prague has my autograph as the best in a very competitive market. Do not miss out.
In my opinion the best hotel, I have ever seen Elegant without compromise First class chauffeur service from Airport Smiling and professional people at the Concierge You cannot ask for more! New bar under construction that suppose will be great! A couple of points (not claim): Room was a bit hot even if heater was off Shower jet is positioned at low side (I'm 186cms high)
The hotel is nice even if you can see that it has been a couple of years ago it was refurbished. Spa area was nice, the pool could use some more lights and the saunas were out of order. We had a couple of issues with the staff, for breakfast you need to be seated by their staff but there was no one there for quite a while, next problem was when I asked a girl that was working there if they had any sparkling water she looked at the table where they had regular water, juice and so on and answered ”I don’t think so”. Next person I asked got me some sparklng water and the last issue made me really surprised. There was some kind of issue with the coffee machine so one of the staff told me that they would arrange some coffee, when he came with a thermos and strated pouring then he realised that he had not opened the thermos enough so he opened it more and spilled coffee all over the table. He said sorry and run away, I was sure it was to get something to wipe up the coffee with but after a couple of minutes I realized he was not comming back. Nice hotel but it doesn’t really live up to the 5 stars.
Simply Exquisite! To visit the Boscolo is to experience a hotel of opulence and gradeur. It has a timeless quality, one of luxury and beauty that seems without parallel in today's modern society. My wife and I have now stayed on three occasions as we enjoy the whole experience of visiting Prague and staying at the Boscollo. From the moment you arrive your are made to feel special, as the management make every effort to ensure you stay is the very best. The Boscolo was formerly the Czech National Prague and the architecture and decoration have exceptional beauty. There is even a Cigar Bar situated in the old vaults! The breakfast is excellent and the quality superb with an extensive range to suit all diets and tastes. The health spa is another delight to visit, situated underground with its sunken pool and includes towels, toiletries and unlimited iced drinking water. During our last visit we stayed in the Junior Suite, which is magnificent. It includes a sumputous Queen size bed, it's own mini corridor, together with walk in dressing room and the most luxurious surroundings. The rich and famous would feel right at home here. If you are able to choose this suite when booking, you will not be disappointed! (Please see photos attached) Prague itself is a wonderful place to visit, the beauty of the city cannot be overstated. All the main attractions are within easy walking distance of the Boscolo and the people a very welcoming. We can't wait for our next visit...
Great value and beautiful amenities. Spa is worth the stay alone after a long day of work. Service was great starting at check-in. Friendly courteous staff looking for ways to help any way they can. Was duly impressed with the total stay and can't wait to come back again. Also the breakfast that was served was abundant and delicious.
We have recently returned from our stay at the Boscolo Prague. We was not disappointed with the stay here and found that the hotel provided excellent facilities. After lots of walking everyday we did use the spa and pool area to unwind and relax which was a lovely bonus. The rooms was very nicely appointed, clean and our double bed was massive! On my birthday i even got a small cake and champagne from the hotel. The hotel is very impressive with grand decor and the buffet breakfast offered a wide range of food. I also found the staff in the buffet very friendly and happy. We did have a small issue when we arrived but this was dealt with by Wael Amin in a very professional manner and with obvious experience. He was most genuine and as a travel professional myself of 15 years very good at his job. He is definitely an asset to the Boscolo Prague Thank you for a wonderful stay and thank you Wael.
Great hotel couldn't have picked a better place to stay in Prague. The spa is fantastic, unlimited flavoured water, towels, and toiletries. The room is lovely and spacious, bed very comfortable. Spotlessly clean and the toiletries are to the same standard as molten brown. Staff can't do enough for you. Breakfast is superb, also the live harp music. Booked through booking.com and got a great price. Room 442 is great, very quiet. 10 min walk to old town square. Def be back here again 😀
This review could have been a lot nastier had it not been for Petr. He was patient and accomodating with that being said. I know its early checkin is a courtesy but had to wait over 3hours to get a room. Usually once i arrive, the hotel cleans the rooms and provides a room within maximum 2 hours, even if the hotel was fully booked. Then they tried to sell me that they upgraded the rooms and showed me a room which was deceiving. Good thing i had pictures of the rooms. It was actually a downgrade, probably the crappiest room. From the check in, the front desk staff was not too friendly nor accomodating. Had to wait total 4 hours after an overnight train from budapest. Please hire more cleaning staff...i Should have stayed at my regular marriott but decided to spend a little more and go for a fancier hotel, Plan backfired this time. Will not return to this hotel. Boscolo in general left a bad taste and will not try this brand. To make it worse, during our stay we had left the make up room sign to realize when we came back that the sign was flipped and room not made up. Had to wait an hour in the lobby while the room was being cleaned. By the way To use spa you need to change in the room if you are a guest. By the way, you would think the water would be warm in the hot tub, it is same as the pool. Please dont make excuses in like the website...
Booked through Booking.com. £222 for a Classic Room (room 339), 2 night stay on Saturday and Sunday night. Arrived just after Midday on Saturday. Check-in was quick, but our room wasn't yet available. Our luggage was stored, and we were asked to come back at 3pm for the keys to the room. We were given a map, with the route to Charles bridge pointed out. The hotel is in a quiet part of new town, just a short walk from the sights. A quick 5 minute walk took us to the start of the cobbled shopping streets and we found ourselves in Old town square, where we gave up on sight seeing for now and got lunch in one of the expensive tourist trap restaurants in the old town square. We realised on day two that Wenceslas Square was just a 12 minute walk away too. Perfect! There are a couple of nearby eating and drinking options (Tlustá Koala is just round the corner). The area around the hotel is quiet, but with the main sights, shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance, this wasn't a problem. Check in was completed at 3pm, and we were handed our keys and voucher for a welcome drink in the New York Cafe bar/restaurant. The classic rooms are nice, and as expected from seeing pictures online. A comfortable bed, ample wardrobe space for 2 days worth of clothes, good size bathroom with a bath/shower and hairdryer. Tea & coffee making facilities and shampoo & shower gel are provided. Maid service was completed twice per day, with fresh towels provided. The room temperature was warm when we arrived, but the rooms have air conditioning so this was quickly cooled. There is a mini bar, stocked with beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks and crisps, chocolates and nuts are also available. The cleaners do start early, so expecting to hear furniture being moved around and vacuuming if you try to lay in later than 8am! The bar was quiet both evenings, with only a few other couples sitting up the bar. We were quickly served our welcome drinks, and then stayed for another round. 0.5l of Pilsner Urquell costs 160 CSK (about £5.60), so this is not a cheap place to enjoy a night out, but somewhere to start the evening. Breakfast costs around £25 per person, but there is a huge selection of things to eat and drink, including sparkling wine. Our airport transfer was picking us up shortly, so we quickly ate breakfast and left, so didn't feel we had value for money. Take your time and enjoy a leisurely breakfast! The staff were professional and polite, and i'd certainly stay here again in the future.
Just left two days at the hotel. Perfect rooms , service and location. Close to the old town and the train station (which also has a metro). Great breakfast, very nice staff. The truth is that there is very little to criticize! The only suggestion is that the tablet in the room (yes- they have a tablet in every room to read news, tourism info and else!) should have settings in English, since it was difficult to operate it..... Overall , a very satisfying stay, and we highly recommend it!!!
