I have stayed at this hotel several times and have also had my friends stay at this property. This was an old bank that was converted into a luxury hotel. The pool and spa area are really unique and incredibly well done with steam room and dry sauna. The free breakfast for members is one of the best of the 50+ properties I have stayed at with Marriott serving a huge buffet. The location is about a 10-15 minute walk to the central tourist locations but has great local food in the vicinity. The rooms are very opulent and the staff is top notch in accommodating. You are really treated like royalty at this hotel.
This hotel is amazing, we were able to catch the shuttle bus from the airport and it dropped us about 5 mins walk from it.The building is gorgeous and you do feel a little like you are in a film set! We were upgraded to a junior suite which was very roomy [my only criticism is that the sofa in the room was quite uncomfortable and had no cushions on it ]The bathroom was spacious. You can hear the trams going by but they aren't that loud. The staff were all very pleasant and the care by the housekeeping was immaculate The Spa area is very relaxing but there are very few facilities for changing in them and it is kept quite dark but we just used the bathrobes provided in the rooms and used to the lift to return to our rooms .I would stay there again
I put off submitting a review as I felt the hotel service was very poor for a five star hotel but the staff had tried to make amends by giving us some fruit and some cava to apologise. However, having just spent the night in a proper five star hotel ( The Blythswood in Glasgow ) I'm reminded of how poor our experience was. In the hotel bar we were blatantly overcharged by a bartender who considered for a moment how much to charge me for two of the same drinks before coming up with an exorbitant amount that was an odd number! Having had a "technician" come to our room because the tv wasn't working, a problem he admitted a lot of the tvs were suffering at that moment and that he promised would be rectified the next day. Which it wasn't. When I called reception to report that it still wasn't working the member of staff told me it was, it was just that I was incapable of working it. This is what led to the peace offering after I went down to protest and eventually was given a different room with a tv that actually worked. All in all, a very disappointing experience instead of what should have been a special trip to remember.
Room price was good, room was small but good quality, clean and pleasant. Breakfast range was a little limited, esp if staying for a few days it would get boring fast, concentrate OJ etc but proper croissants, and all the usual.
We had a lovely weekend celebrating our anniversary. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was the best I have seen with a large selection. Building lovely converted palace. The service from everyone we met was spot on. The swimming pool was brilliant too and very luxerous
The spa was very nice and the staff was outstanding. The price was very high for services in Prague, but coming from a 5 star resort in Arizona, US, it was right inline. The entire is all lit in a blue hue which took a little getting used to but overall it was great and I will definitely go back.
I do love this hotel both for the beuty of the building, its strategic location in the very centre and for the kind and helpful responces of the hotel staff. The original purpose of this institution was a bank for you will feel safe, respected and pampered. Enjoy it!
Booked because I had been impressed with the Boscolo hotel in Budapest. The staff were excellent but the building had been poorly converted and the experience lacked the refinement I had expected. I don't want to be too negative with specifics as the staff made up for many deficiencies with their charm but I do feel the management needs to take a pull and get on top of things.
This property is conveninently located in the center of the city and the staff are exceptionally nice. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and has almost everything you'd consider needing. Nice rooms and comfy beds.
Stayed here for a few days and it is a very nice hotel with an attentive staff, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and bedding, very good morning breakfast buffet, and nicely located within walking distance to all the main tourist attractions. The gym is adequate for basic needs. The negative: the towels in the bathroom were like using sandpaper to dry yourself (you think such a nice hotel would have more plush towels), the layout of the hotel can be confusing since it seems to be two buildings that were combined and the floors of those two buildings do not match. It took me quite some time to find my room initially and it was next to impossible to tell any of my visitors how yo find my room. The fact that they charge a spa fee to hotel guests during peek hours is a bit off-putting. We're already paying for our rooms - to have to pay another $10 just to use the pool during certain hours of the day is just ridiculous. In-room mini bar is amazingly expensive (more so than most).
