This hotel does not have it. But, if you're good to walk a bit, you can enjoy the city. I loved the classic castle styling of the hotel. The staff were nice and helpful. The rooms are small but elegant. Make sure you go after 7pm if you want to swim for free in the Spa, otherwise there is a 10 Euro surcharge. But honestly, it was worth it for the steam baths and ice pools. I liked this hotel a lot. The stairs leading into the hotel are steep - maybe not a good choice if you're a senior or if you have bad knees
The hotel itself is not like your standard Marriott which I appreciated. It felt very boutique and the stylings were very attractive and distinctly European. The staff was lovely. They assisted us on more than one occasion with questions about local attractions and their recommendations were great. We were always greeted with recognition and made to feel genuinely appreciated as a guest. As a seasoned traveller, I don't care how big the room is - because I'm never in it. Our room was small but beautifully furnished. We took advantage of the spa and swimming pool which was delightful. The steam baths were great and the ice pool refreshing. The hotel is a little off the beaten path so you need to walk a fair bit to reach attractions near Prague Castle. We were not bothered by it but it would be important to note for someone who is not inclined to 'get lost' in a city. But keep in mind, you cant really drive the streets of interior Prague so if you don't like walking, this isn't a city for you. Lots of great restaurants within 5 minute walk - recommend La Bottega Linka's all day brunch if you're there on a Saturday! I very much enjoyed my stay at the Boscolo and would be inclined to visit their properties in other cities.
My wife and I stayed for a weekend. I travel very much and am Platinum/Elite member of most major hotel chains. We were upgraded from a Junior Suite to the Presidential Suite, which is fabolous. All staff is extremely friendly and professional and very discreet. Hotel has a very "at home" Feeling, although it is very grand. The SPA is beautiful and treatments are good. Lovely breakfast. Walking distance to all major sights. Very Relaxing for a city Hotel. A real treat. Hope to go back.
Stayed for 5 nights, and the service at this hotel did not live up to its rating. Arrived at 9pm, no one at door, so we had to carry up all our luggage up two flights of steps at entrance of hotel. Even after checking no one offered to help us with our luggage to our rooms, again there were stairs involved. My daughter had her arm in plaster yet no one offered to help. No one helped us even in reception. I told this to the receptionist at checkout and they were very un-apologetic. We had dinner, again took a long time to be served, went to order dessert and were told the kitchen was closed, if we would have known it was closing we would have ordered with main course. All issues that could have been overcome with ease if the staff would have showed some service. The hotel is in a good location, rooms are nice, not huge though! Benn to Prague on several occasions, would choose a different hotel, next time.
Unlike other Marriot properties in Europe (where you can feel like you are still in the U.S.) this property you experience the european opulence with all the comforts of home. The spa was fantastic my daughter had a deep tissue massage and the indoor pool, sauna and steam were so relaxing after a long day of travel. The buffet breakfast was lovely and offered a large vareity of choices. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The property is walking distance to both New and Old town yet far enough so it was quiet and peaceful.
As a lifetime platinum member of the Marriott chain, having accumulated over 1.5 million points, I know hotels, and I know what to expect. I especially know the Marriott chain, from the basic Residence Inn (which I love) to the Ritz Carlton and Autograph collection, (which I love as well). When I say the Boscolo Prague was a disappointment, I think my opinion carries some weight. Even though I noted during my research that Trip Advisor had them at 62 on the list, I mistakenly assumed the Autograph Collection carried more weight. From the moment I sat down at reception I knew things were not going to go well. I requested connecting rooms, or rooms next door to each other, weeks in advance via an email communication with the hotel (given I was traveling with children) and received a pleasant reply in return they would take care of us, and looked forward to our arrival. My request was not honored - STRIKE ONE. STRIKE TWO, going to our rooms, one reeked of smoke. I had to change this room which entailed going up and down a large flight of stairs (did I mention there is not elevator service to every floor of the hotel; it's like an Eischer Painting). These were absolutely the smallest hotel rooms I can remember ever staying in - and I've traveled all over the world. My husband could not open his suitcase, and the door to the room at the same time - no space (see picture). Not to mention the view - A WALL! STRIKE THREE I used some of my points for 2 rooms over 3 nights at this property. My family was on a 2 week European vacation. The Marriott Prague is modern and has much larger rooms - I should have gone that route (I went to look at it after my disappointment after check in, to see if it was possible to move hotels). I thought old world charm over modern would be nice - my 2nd mistake when choosing a Marriott property in Prague. Given the hotel could not honor this basic request, My husband and I split up so we each stayed with a child since the rooms were not close. Only after it was clear to the night manager I was very unhappy, did ONE larger room open, which I moved to. So now in a matter of 30 minutes I have moved rooms 2x. Needless to say, this put a huge damper on our first visit to Prague, and we are planning to move onto the next country sooner than expected. I have traveled frequently for business and pleasure internationally, for over 20+ years, and so I know what to expect. This hotel is clearly living off a reputation that is well past it's prime. Like The Plaza in New York City. I'm not impressed. While the manager turned around and bought our drinks at the bar, I would have much preferred arriving and getting what I requested. I can pay for my own drinks. You can see my review for the W Amsterdam is exactly opposite of this review. They nailed it. It's really not that hard to please guests. Just given them what they ask for, unless they are unreasonable. Two rooms next to each other given you are traveling with children, not a huge request to honor, or out of line to request. Be it a platinum member or just a family on a trip with no status, rooms together should not be too much to ask. Next!
I loved staying here for 2 nights. It was truly delightful. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms a lush and staff come in to make your bed in the morning as standard...but also again at about 6pm incase you messed it up again during the day! The heated swimming pool is much larger than it seems on the website with complementary fruit waters, it was also very quiet. Very peaceful and serene. The gym looked good too! 24 hour room service and a complementary half bottle of bubbly...just because. The bar is a lovely environment, with great cocktails...see picture. There is also a cigar room where you can smoke if you're so inclined....I really loved everything about this opulent, grand hotel!! It has all the prestige and none of the pretentiousness!! 🤗🍾 Really do recommend!
Fantastic building with very good decor and cleanliness. Location a little far from the main tourist attractions but also far enough away from them as well, depends on your reason for visiting. I was on business so no issue Only took breakfast which was excellent, rooms nicely equipped but no view and high Windows , I stayed in a classic room on my own, as a couple it would have been too small. Staff courteous with one exception, overall very good, would recommend for business travel, would go more central if touring and get a better feel for the real Prague
A luxury hotel at a price that was not over the top. Excellent service form check-in to check-out, bountiful breakfast buffet to start the day with, and fifteen minutes leisurely walk to the Old Town Square. Well situated, clean, well-appointed, accommodations with reliable wi-fi. I will return!
Nice hotel. Located close to train station & tram stop. Also within a few minutes walking from several interesting spots (old town, palladium shopping mall, the powder tower-municipal house, myslbek area). Staff was very attentive, our initial room had an issue after one night (water leak in the closet), was moved to another room with help from the staff, with an apology gift left in the new room. Also got a desert & champagne left at our room for my wife's birthday.
