I really enjoyed my junior suite at this hotel. Great room. The build and design was really beautiful and nice. I was however suprised about the inexperienced staff. The guy who checked me in did not know if there was coffee in the room. The waiters was fore sure new in business. Last morning at breakfast I realized that the plates in the buffet all had a layer of fat on the surface. Discustng to my opinion. It's like the water used to clean the plates was not hot enough. The design is 5 stars but the staff and restaurant is 1. Total 2 stars.
This hotel is positioned in a very good location close to the old town square. The hotel rooms are also very nice with comfortable beds. Nice reception and resturant. However the breakfast could have been a bit more varied
This hotel is very very close to Staromestske namestie and Prasna brana. But you may parking your car only in garage for quite high fee 35euro. Also the bed is not bequem - very soft so we couldnt sleep well whats pitty! One advise also for breakfast - use bigger plattes and improve service..
I booked the Barceló Old Town Prague because of its location. It could not be better, in the middle of the main attractions, in a silent corner that guarantees good sleeping. Everything is located at walking distance from the hotel, including Prague Castle that is a 20 minutes walk. The location is the highest point of this very nice hotel but everything else does not fall short. When we arrived our room wasn't available and they moved us to the Wilson Hotel. We were very frustrated. But that was compensated by far when we came back the next day. They paid our lunch and offered a room upgrade to the GRAN SUITE ZLATY ANDEL for free. An amazing suite with 110 squared meters and awesome decoration. The illuminated Jacuzzi in a giant bathroom was an outstanding extra. We could come back to rest in the room many times during the day and take advantage of the amazing facilities. Amazing experience!
Loved our stay in this hotel. The rooms had plenty of space and they were very comfortable. The location is great for tourists since it is located right in the old town. The staff was very polite and overall we received great service.
We loved the stay in the Grand Spa Suite. The suite is enormous! It can get a little noisy outside with the windows open, but the bed is really comfortable and covered in pillows! The showerhead needed to be replaced and two of the three TVs wouldn't work with our laptop via HDMI which was annoying. The service was great and we loved our stay. The location is very good for having lots of restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Stayed three nights here in March. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Memory foam mattresses too! Bathroom was modern and shower was great. Safes in the room too. Great location about a two minute walk from the old town square and about 100m to the Powder tower.
This was just a quick family trip. The hotel is airy and very clean. Very friendly and helpful. We were on the 3rd floor, room 302, junior suite. Perfect for a week stay. Well heated but are very adaptable, so don’t worry if you prefer a cooler nights sleep. It’s very easy to operate. (Opening the window shuts the heating off altogether). Breakfast is more than adequate and well worth the money. Something for everyone. Buffet style but a hot station is also operated. I would definitely go back to this hotel. Very well positioned too for the old town.
A great location. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was fine,as you'd expect... only issue was that for 3 mornings on the trot the coffee pot was empty and we had to ask for it filing up! February seemed quiet ... that suited us fine, we would happily return ...
I stayed there for a weekend trip to Prague. I had a suite which was very spacious and nice. One negative point to mention is, that the toilet is in the hallway and not as the rest of the bathroom next to the bedroom. That is a not perfect when you lie in bed and to get there you have to cross all the livingroom. The bed is a nice king size and verry comfortable to sleep in (after you got rid off all the pillows on the bed) The breakfast is simple with not that many choices especialy for bread, but what they have tasted good. One big negative point I have to mention is, that when I asked if it is possible to stay in the room a bit longer, despite the fact I am member of their loyalty program is that they would charge me extra! I never had that in any hotels of Barcelo I stayed in.
