Archibald City hotel is an excellent option when visiting Prague. This was the first stop of our honeymoon and the staff was kind enough to congratulate us during check in and provide us with a bottle of champagne in the room. The hotel has an excellent location (and a great value for its price), it's not a long walk to the Old Town. It is worth noting that every staff member showed an exceptional level of service during our stay, which made it even more worthwhile. In addition, their daily breakfast has plenty of options to choose from and was very good (it is not your typical continental breakfast). Bottom line, we recommend this hotel without hesitation and look forward towards a future visit.
Great location; within walking distance from Old Town Square and tourist areas. Room is good and price is reasonable. The hotels offers tourist guided trips for relatively the same price you find on the streets.
The hotel is nice, quiet with a good service and most important it´s always clean. I´m not sure abt its 4 stars tho. The best is the terrace on the 7th floor, great view! Its also close to the biggest square in the city and well comunicated.
Hotel is very nice, breakfast very good hot and cold. Room super clean bathroom spacious clean , bed very comfy We love the pillows nice nice. Location is great no more than 10 minutes Old town, 15 minutes to Charles Bridge , within walking distance to most attractions. Wi-Fi good, Reception excellent . They have a Restaurant at the Terrace with a superb view for pictures and the food great a bit pricy but it was worth it good food. The staff in general room and reception always willing to help and most important always happy ( You don't see it too often in Europe) Receptions would go out of their way to help you with Restaurants, events, tours they put it together for you, and the tours they offer are with great Companies with a lot of educational guiding. If we go back, We will stay there again.
Lovely Prague, so many things to see and a lot of walking to do, yes a nice experience! The restaurants were really nice and the food was great and there are loads of shops for shopping and places with beautiful views .Prague zoo is not to be missed!
Didnt feel this earned a four star rating! It is somewhat central but the area wasnt great! No toilet in reception, no hotel bar or facilities if checking in late ! The room was very small, and dark as overlooking other rooms so no view or natural light! The bed was two single beds put together which is a pet hate of mine however the bed itself was comfortable! The bath had no shower mat and the shower hose was so low you had to hold it in your hand to wash your hair! Also the hairdryer is in the very small bathroom which made things very uncomfortable and hot!!!!! The staff were not overly friendly or helpful! Breakfast was basic with not much choice, pastries and bread were not fresh but its saving grace was gorgeous cappuccinos from the coffee machine!! Overall the hotel was clean enough but super basic and overpriced for its lack of facilities
Can't rate this place enough - the location is perfect couldn't ask for better - so close to all the beautiful attractions Prague has to offer from the castle to old town square! The staff here so lovely and so helpful in every way, no language barrier at all! Anything we asked they accommodated us so well! The rooms - I could not have asked for more, so clean and freshly cleaned each day, bed was so comfy and hot water plentiful! The Terrance rooftop was just the cherry on top for the stay here which we spent most of nights as the views where just spectacular! Can't wait to come back!!!
Stayed here for 4 nights and was very impressed with the quality of the hotel for the price! Free wifi, free breakfast with something for everyone and a rooftop terrace bar. Staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke English very well. Would definitely stay here again! The location is ideal for walking anywhere and near all public transport.
we have been there in July 2017, it was a very good deal. Staff is nice and helpful, rooms are clean and breakfast was over our expectations. It is not in the city center but you can walk there and metro and tram are very close, so it is not a problem and the advantage is that the place is quiet...
The hotel Archibald city is not super close to the city center, but you can for sure walk to the Charles bridge (about 25 minutes). The neighborhood is okay. There are a few night clubs around and I'm not sure if I'd recommend to walk around all alone in the middle of the night, but we never felt afraid. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are nothing special but comfortable and totally fine for a few nights. There is a roof top Terrasse on 7th floor. You have a view over Prague and the castle and it's a nice place to have some drinks with friends after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was okay - also nothing special but I guess there's something for everyone. All in all, you should not expect a perfect 4-star hotel but a good 3-star hotel. If you're looking for a fair price with enough comfort for a weekend trip that's the place to book :)
