Appia is located in a quiet corner of Mala Strana, away from the tourist traffic but still walking distance (or tram) from the sights. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our family stayed in one of the suites - it was huge! We would definitely stay here again.
Stayed here for a few days at the end of March. It’s set in an old building which is an easy walk to the Charles Bridge. Room was clean spacious quiet and comfortable. Breakfast in the converted attic was tasty. It was a special birthday for me which must have been picked up by the hotel from my passport because I found on my return to the hotel after a day in the city a bottle of champagne and two glasses and a happy birthday message. The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful and the supply of coffee and pastries most welcome.
Stayed for a few days with my wife on a quick break. Very quick and easy check in with a very helpful clerk. Old style hotel which was part of the monastery at one time. In a very quiet location. Room was a good size and a good size bathroom. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and again nice staff. Any problems? no, not really. Only that the coffee machine would not work. Now, I know that's trivia but that's the only thing wrong. Even then the girl on the desk ran all over getting a one for us. She also told us she loved coming to work its such a nice place and it is. So I shall be staying again and thank you .
...in every aspect. We stayed four nights in Room 203A and were delighted with the studio. The room was immaculately clean, tastefully furnished and very spacious; we are so glad we chose it. Each day, housekeeping did an excellent job and yet we saw them not once. The location of the hotel is a huge bonus, probably 100m from the German Embassy, and plum in the embassy district, so wonderfully quiet at night. In fact, the most peaceful location I've ever experienced. We could hardly know there were other guests in the hotel. Breakfast was a sumptuous affair, with a wide choice of delightful foods, both hot and cold, and service was prompt, polite and efficient. The restaurant is one of the most beautiful I've ever eaten in. We enjoyed walking Prague, and what a treat to return to the heavenly haven Appia. Reception staff were always present, always helpful and couldn't have done more to ensure we had a thoroughly enjoyable Prague city break.
We had a wonderful stay at the Appia. The apartment we had was spotless, quiet and well-appointed. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The district was beautiful. And last but not least, the staff were fantastic. We arranged a pick up from the airport, and Jana was really kind in helping us to book a tour in Plzen at Pilsner Urquell. There was another very kind gesture that was completely unexpected by management on our last evening. When we return to Prague, we will definitely book here again!
This hotel is just what my wife and I wanted. In a quite area away from the buzz of the city centre. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful in anything we asked. The rooms are spacious and kept clean. With only 21 rooms we felt and got a personal service, nothing was too much trouble.
Stayed in room 202 for 4 nights. Location is in Mala Strana(lesser quarter). Quiet area up the street from German and US embassy. Perfect location 10-15 min walk to castle or Charles bridge. We had a rental car & used their garage parking (fee but worth it!) but walked everywhere. Rooms were charming & large. Nespresso machine, heated towel bar in bathroom, robe slippers & other small amenities. Daily breakfast included cooked eggs, sausages, beans, yogurt, breads, pastries cereals meats cheeses & fruits. They provided made-to-order coffee, lattes cappuccino. Nice way to start the day. The hotel is reasonably price & level of service was exceptional. Definitely recommend.
Friendly, cozy, quiet, good service and good location. About 15 minutes walk to Charles Bridge and Prague Castle. Good restaurants and cafes are also within walking distance. As it is near the US embassy, all vehicles will have to be checked by the police before they reach the hotel. So it is quite safe. What more can one ask for?
Small friendly hotel. Situated between Castle and Old Town Square. Easily walkable to all the sites. Quiet and friendly. Room was superb. It was -8 during our stay and the room was always warm and cosy and very welcoming. Coffee and cakes available throughout the day in reception area. Breakfast really tasty, good selection of everything.Fruit ,cereals, hot food, salads , pastries, bread. Tea, coffee, Champagne. Staff very accomodationg nothing was too much trouble.
Stayed in room 304 for the week end. Excellent hotel, suite very comfortable, breakfast superb, staff very friendly. Location is very good, in the quieter side if the river but within 20 mins of Charles Bridge. Good bars and restaurants nearby. We will definitely be going back
