The hotel itself is very beautiful. My room in particular was very nice, large and had it's own private terrace. The hotel is in a very good location, quiet and peaceful, but close to main tourist sites. It was my birthday while I was staying, and the hotel manager left a bottle of champagne and a birthday card for me in the room, which was very nice and made me feel very welcome (particularly since I was travelling alone at the time). Would definitely recommend to others and look forward to returning in future.
If you like peaceful hotel, this is yours. If you like beautiful petite hotel, this is yours. Hotel staff was very kind. Breakfast place was beautiful and the staff even came coffee to your table. When you leave outside the hotel, just give your key to lobby person, and when you come back from Prague(wherever you are), your room has been cleaned :) I'll be back ;)
We stayed as a family of 4 (2 little kids aged 7 and 4) and boy were we glad we booked this place! First off- its very well tucked away from the busy streets of Prague but still close to everything. Accessibility wasn't a problem for us as some reviews mentioned, with 2 kids and a stroller we were able to amble along the slightly sloping roads. The hotel itself is like a little oasis, beautiful garden, pretty flowers all around, immaculate and well appointed rooms and wonderful staff! Our room was lovely- we were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite on the ground floor opening out to the gardens through large sunny windows. Very spacious, well equipped kitchenette and large fridge. They also provided us with 2 roll away beds, although I had only requested for one (and were charged only for 1) which I thought was really nice of them. The beds are very comfortable and house keeping very thorough. Breakfast was awesome! Both kids and adults loved it. The best I had on my Eastern Europe trip and we stayed in some 5 star properties as well. The breakfast area is quaint in the roof area of the hotel (there's an elevator to it). Wifi was great and coffee/ evening snacks were an added bonus. We walked everywhere and loved that we could return to a quiet spot, some nice restaurants/ pubs around which we loved. The staff here is amazing, very friendly and always willing to help with a smile. Did I say I loved this hotel? :)
We stayed as a family of 4 (including 2 teenagers) over spring break. We had a 2 bedroom apartment. It was great! Plenty of room to spread out. Kitchenette with fridge. The front staff very nice. Breakfast in the morning was great! Good location near the castle and Charles bridge. There are a couple local pubs nearby which were perfect. We would stay here again when visiting Prague!
We spent weekend at this hotel. Beautiful location, excellent staff. The hotel breathes history, a quiet location ideal for a perfect sleep. Nice cooks prepare an excellent breakfast. Smiling Jana and Pavel, always give advice. Thank you.
The hotel is tucked away from the noise and bustle of the historic centre but in easy walking distance of all the major sights. We stayed for 4 nights in a standard room which could easily have been advertised as a suite at a much higher price. It was comfortable, well appointed, quiet and very clean. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful and the variety and quality of the buffet breakfast were excellent. There are several different seating areas in the pretty garden and it is a real pleasure to relax there with a free coffee after a hard day's sight-seeing. A great deal of thought has evidently been given to ensuring every comfort.
We stayed in a jr suite. Didn't really need all the room but that's what was available when we booked. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom only has a single. Ensuite has a tub while other bathroom has a shower. Everything is very clean and staff are very helpful. The breakfast has a nice assortment. Easy walk to the Charles Bridge or the tram to take you across the river to old town. We would definitely stay here again.
Perfect place to stay. Standard room is very large size and warm home like design. Area at night is quiet and safe. Our window of room faced the central courtyard with green grass, flowers, and singing birds. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. All staff in the hotel were friendly, and helpful. Reading the other hotel reviews it seemed most had comments about unhappy and unfriendly staff...the staff at this hotel were absolutely wonderful. Breakfast was super with fresh and wide selection of food, deserts, and drinks. Location was very convenient to Castle area and shops and restaurants. Wifi router is in every room and works fantastic. Some other reviewers commented you do need to walk some small hill...but it's really not so difficult and the walk along the streets has great and interesting views. I would definitely stay here again.
We had the top room, 402 which had 2 king sized beds each with their own bathroom. Simply put it was just excellent. We had a common room with the couple we were traveling with so it worked out very well. The room was extremely clean and well equipped. The area around the hotel was very quiet but still only about a 10 minute walk to the Charles Bridge. I highly recommend this hotel for its location, service and overall quality.
We stayed for 3 nights at The Appia in February 2017. We were a party of 8 (4 couples). What is there not to say about this hotel? Rooms, staff, service and of course the breakfast were all fabulous. We had a lovely long weekend in beautiful Prague and will definitely return to this city and again to the Appia.
