We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Appia and what a stay it was. The hotel is located down a quiet pebbled lane and this is an added plus considering just how busy Prague can be. The hotel is of 5 star vintage. The decor and rooms are of classic Czech tradition and regardless of the room you choose they are not only huge, but mightily impressive,. The breakfast is located upstairs and you will walk into a lovely pitched hall. The breakfast selection is great as is the service from the kind kitchen staff and reception team. Appia is located very close to some top notch restaurants and bars and if you want away from the madness happening elsewhere this is the perfect choice. I will be back....but without emptying the mini bar this time Thanks again D
We stayed for three nights. We chose this Hotel because we needed to park our car. Finding hotels In Prague that have parking isn’t easy. the parking cost an extra 25euro a night but it was worth it. Once it was garaged it stayed that way and we walked everywhere (advisable). It’s only a 15minute walk to the Charles Bridge. We quite liked being on the quieter side of town. It was extremely busy around old town. We had the junior suite because we are traveling with our 15yr old Daughter. It consisted of two rooms, both with queen beds. Very comfortable beds and pillows. beautifully decorated. It was a very big space and to our delight had a washing machine which was most helpful. Shower was excellent. WIFI perfect (it didn’t work initially but we turned the router off and on and then it worked perfectly) Breakfast was vast - so much choice. The staff were excellent, very very helpful. Patiently answering our million questions. The only thing negative thing I can say is that there was a lot of noise coming from the rooms above us. Footsteps, chairs being dragged across the floor. But dead quiet in the middle of the night. You wouldn’t have this problem if you chose a higher floor.
Excellent apartment hotel in a peaceful residential area but close to major attractions, restaurants, bars and shops. The room was immaculate, cleaned and towels changed every day. Staff are exceptionally helpful with advice on places to visit and tips on getting around. Breakfast excellent in a very pleasant loft restaurant. You can walk to all the city centre attractions and shopping. Would certainly recommend a stay
Highly recommend for any trips to Prague! Great location puts you wishing easy walking distance of everything or an easy tram ride to anywhere else. had a wonderful time. Staff was fantastic and very helpful recommending restaurants, places to visit etc.
This hotel is nestled in the shadows of Prague Castle and the Petrin Hill & Observation Tower in a quiet area of town, located amongst a number of foreign embassies, including the United States embasssy, so expect your taxi (as is every vehicle, including buses) to be checked by police with under-carriage mirrors as it enters the cobble stoned road leading to the hotel. The hotel is a beautiful old building, with only 21 rooms so it makes for a quiet stay. It’s about a 10 minute walk down to to the Charles Bridge and 20 minutes to Old Town — its’ a really pleasant stroll through beautiful parts of town but given the hotel is located on a steep hill, older tourists might find the walk back to the hotel of about 300m up the hill quite taxing. The rooms are very spacious as is the bathroom. Breakfast buffet is delicious and the staff there are very attentive each morning. It’s one of those type of hotels that you need to leave the key at the front desk as you leave, but the reception is staffed 24 hours a day so that is not a problem.
Stayed here for 3 nights in early December. The hotel is really nice, spotless and has great staff. Rooms are a good size and very clean. Staff are really helpful and always smiling. Its in a quiet part of town about 10-15 minutes walk from Charles Bridge and the Old Town and in a good position for other sights. Breakfast is really good with a good choice of hot and cold foods. Thank you !!
Our friends have booked Appia to celebrate their wedding anniversary. We were invited too but due to private reasons could not join them. Thank to the staff we were able to make this day very special - front office very quickly reacted to our email request ( though it was late at night) and next morning made all the arrangements for the good surprise! Our friends are happy as well as we are! Thank you for you great job and cooperation! You have super service and very friendly staff!
Appia Hotel Residences is an excellent place to stay if you want to spend some days in Prague. For us it is always the number one choice. We would like to thank the staff at Appia; the cleaning personnel - always tidy and clean everywhere, the girls and boys in the reception – always pleasant and helpful, and last but not least- the personnel serving breakfast each morning. The breakfast is excellent, the atmosphere in dining hall is excellent and in sum, this is something you wish to get back to. We know that you all work hard to give your guest a good stay. There is only one thing to say; Thank you all! We will be back when we get the opportunity! Best regards, Lars & Marit
We stayed here for 3 nights early December. It was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stopped at. It’s a beautiful old building, spotlessly clean and well maintained with some amazing original features from its 12c beginnings. The room was big and beautiful, breakfasts were great, the staff excellent, and the location, for us, was ideal. It’s at the bottom of the steps of the Prague Castle complex entrance in really quaint and quiet part of the city. It takes about 15 minutes (downhill) to walk over the Charles Bridge towards the other major tourist attractions then you can catch a No 22 tram back almost to the door. There are plenty of good restaurants very close to this hotel if you don’t want to go back down to the city centre at night. Nice extras included were free coffee, mulled wine and pastries in the hotel lobby bar. I did not expect to get this quality of hotel for the price I paid. Excellent!
Lovely old hotel with some nice old features. Breakfast is served in the old original section of the hotel with exposed roof beams and tiles adding to the ambience. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is located in a quiet area of the town, however it is only a short walk from the centre.
