Nice hotel located 25 min walk from the city. Clean room and friendly staff. Good breakfast. Nice resturants nearby. Tram and subway 5 min walk from the hotel. Good price with breakfast included. I recommend this hotel.
Booked the hotel based on pictures we saw online. However, the room we were given was much smaller than we expected. As we were only staying for a couple of nights and we were out all day sightseeing it wasn't the end of the world, but we would have been disappointed had we been staying any longer. We were also disappointed that the tea and coffee facilities in the room were chargeable, we have never experienced that before and you only find out when you check into the hotel and sign the documentation. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the nearest metro stop (red line, I.P.Pavlova) and about a 30-minute walk to the city centre. As the weather was good during our stay we walked everywhere and only used the metro to get to and from the airport.
Let's start with the fact that my fiance and I got upgraded and received a beautiful room on the upper floor, for free! The room was quite big for us, the bed was clean and even very comfortable to sleep in, actually, which is rare for me. The bathroom was also clean and our towels got changed every day. The breakfast was not the best we have ever had but it was OK; I did enjoy the bacon, the pastries and the tea. It's a bit distant from the metro and the city center but it's close to other places around which you can reach by walking (they are beautiful and I added photos of them for you to see). In conclusion, I had a great time at the hotel and the staff was pretty great at the time (mid May 2016).
I've been there four nights with my school. A lousy hotel, a very high night penalty, blood on sheets and pigeon poop, inedible food. They were thieves as they randomly selected rooms to pay drinks even if we didn't take any drink from the minibar. Dishonest and dirty. Deprecated
good short stay at this hotel, good room. centrally located and near to the subway and other business centers. only drawback they do not have restaurant. but there are good restaurants down the street.
absolutely horrible. the hotel is very very awful, the rooms are dirty small and bad washed. the food tastes really horrible. the towels are changed only after 2 days, the bed lines are very dirty. the worst thing is that the receptionist are violent, vulgar hysterical and most of all liars and would do everything for achieving plus money. there are a lot of beautiful hotel in prague and it is not one of them.
Avoid this hotel because doesn’t deserve 4* : noisy big circulation street, disgusting smell in the room due to the dirty carpet floor, electricity out of electric norms, insolent attitude of the reception man while check out. We stayed 4 nights and we never used the mini bar, whereas we used the kettle and some teabags which are normally free for this kind of establishment. However, during the checkout, the receptionist told us that we will have a supplement for the tea bags. After our departure, the hotel send us a bill for 20,35€ only for the tea bags. What was my surprise when I saw two samples from this hotel, one for 21,18€ and the other for 30,56€ without any explanations from the direction of this 4th stars “Hotel”… I live in Paris and I don't understend how about 10 tea bags can cost 50€ ! This is INCREDIBLE !!! We are really disappointed.
This hotel was a great stay for us. We stayed for 5 nights in the 2 bedroom apartment style room. It had two separate bedrooms and one bathroom with a shared entry way. It worked out really well for 4 girls. The heaters worked too well as we woke up each night shedding layers. The only downfall was that it isn't located close to the main center of Prague. The metro isn't too far walk from the hotel. Staff was great and very helpful. The room itself is a little dated, but that's what we loved about them too. It felt very cozy and homey.
I have stayed at Hotel Amigo a number of times for both business and non-business trips to Prague. The hotel is very central and there are plenty of good restaurants and cafes nearby. The staff has always been very respectful, helpful and nice and the rooms are always clean and welcoming. I can only recommend Hotel Amigo to anyone looking for a nice hotel to stay in Prague.
We stayed there in December 2016 with my friends. For 4 people we booked 1 family room and were surprised how cosy and nice it was!!! 3 separate rooms and 1 bathroom👌🏻wifi was okay, everything clean. Not far from the old city and very good for such price!
