I've travelled to Czech Republic this week-end and have stayed in this hotel. Although the mattress is very comfortable, the bed is large enough for two people. The room and the bathroom are very clean. Someone cleans the bedroom every morning and that's an asset. Nonetheless, although the time slot for breakfast is perfect. Do not consider spending one more second after 10am or a very polite waitress will kick you out of the room.
We stayed at the hotel for a 3 night mini break. Check in was quick and efficient. We were asked to pay a security deposit of around 50 euros which would be refunded depending on what we spent at the mini bar. They have assured us that as we paid for our use of the mini bar in cash at the end of our stay we will not be charged. The decor is quite dated and traditional but the room overall was very clean and comfortable. We had a room that looked into the main road so it was quite noisy at night but not too much of a problem for us. Breakfast was ok, we only paid for one morning and went else where the other days. You get charged for tea and coffee in the room - I have never experienced this before so I found it quite stingy. The location is around a 25 minute walk from old town square. The easiest way we found to get to that area was by metro: Turn left as you leave the hotel and walk straight down til you get to IP Pavlova station (beside oberbank on corner). From there you should catch the metro to Muzeum and switch to the green line to Starometska which is in the historic centre. Public transport passes are available at reception for 110czk. Definitely the quickest way to get around and worth it as you can use ticket for 24 hours from validation. We enjoyed our stay, however would probably stay nearer the centre should we return.
This hotel is absolutely average in terms of rooms, but the breakfast had quite a wide selection (coffee is bad, just like at most of the hotels), and prices are very reasonable compared to the location of the hotel.
the hotel is overall a classic one, reception ladies are friendly and the help they did is quite supportive. I saved my luggages in the hotel for out tripping for a few days ,and the reception lady did this favor without hesitation for free. Room is clean and also convenient for the transport. I expect to stay for next week
Absolutely horrible. I've been there for four nights, slept in room with no window cause they had put a plastic panel on it and mind the view above that we had builders every morning at 7.00am.Which would be great if i had gone there for business trip so I wouldn't need alarm clock cause they made sure you were awake at that time. Reception poker face guy took from card 50 euros as deposit he said (never saw that notice anywhere in the hotel rules ) which i fortunately took back after almost 3 weeks and 2 phone calls(the woman i spoke with was very polite and helpfull). Rooms where very dusty and to my unfortunate stay I accidentally spilled coffee on sheets and pillow case and were never changed despite the fact we left them together so that cleaner will see. Common areas where moped daily but then again i did pumped to the bucket of the dirty water and got wet when i called the elevator cause they found it convenient to left it in it as it helped them.Overall awful, I wouldn't go there again even if they offered the stay for free!!!
This hotel offers a not too expensive stay with a good breakfast, but is located about 25 minutes walking from the city centre. Nevertheless, we had a very good stay with lots of time to visit all the sites in roughly 3 days.
Amigo is a lovely hotel and not far from city center Very clean and comfortable beds. The staff are polite and very helpful and friendly for most part besides this one girl early morning at check out was rude that morning and night before. There's lots of restaurant and bar in walking distance. Take your own coffee and tea bag as they charge if you use the ones in the room, which is unheard of at hotel. I was not happy with that I was not informed upon checking in, found out upon checking out when they charged me. It's about a 10- 15 minute walk to Wenceslas Square, but that was fine for me. Overall I had an enjoyable stay.
We stayed in the Amigo City Centre Hotel for 4 nights in December. The hotel is amazingly conffy, warm, cozy, clean and safe. The recepcionist guy and all the other staff were very friendly and nice which is not very common for general service in prague. People in general are a bit rude and cold. The hotel made us feel at home and has great price location cost. At night the rooms are so warm and the rooms have a carpet in them. The television could perhaps have more channels and the wifi signal could be stronger. Other than that, the breakfast is to die for and just what you will need before to bust you up for exploring the city. Is only 7 minute walk from the I.P.Pavlova station. We loved the stay and we totally recommended Amigo City Centre.
The Amigo City Centre Hotel is well-located, clean, and has a friendly and accommodating staff. A few specific issues follow. - The Amigo City Centre Hotel deactivates all in-room heating at around 10:00 p.m. nightly. And, as is customary in many central and eastern European hotels, the only covers on the bed are a single, thin duvet. For those of us from warm climates, this means that a winter stay at the Amigo City Centre will be extremely uncomfortable. - Rooms, though cleaned expertly and in good condition, are somewhat dated in their appearance and decor. -The television in my room was non-functional. I have only partially demerited the hotel on this point as I had no plans or desire to watch television in the first place. -The street outside the hotel appears to be in some type of permanent state of emergency as there is an endless stream of police cars and ambulances speeding down it at all hours of the night. If one is a light sleeper, this may be an issue. It was not for me. - The plumbing in my bathroom stopped working for thirty minutes one day and then spontaneously began working again. -Breakfast seems pricey, at 12 euros, for what is offered. -If you have heavy luggage and are feeble or infirm, be warned that the hotel's front door is only accessible by a flight of 14 steps. This did not apply to me so I have no demerited the hotel on this point, but I mention it for those for whom it may be an issue.
The hotel is well located and is in a very safe area. The hotel staff are also nice. The rooms were pretty decent too. Dnt think I have much too complain at all as I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Free WiFi.
