NH Poznan4.0 out of 5.0

I have used NH hotels in many locations and have generally been satisfied, but not on this occasion. There were two of us travelling and had booked two single rooms. I was given room 508 which reeked of cigarette smoke. Also the air conditioning let out a screeching noise which woke me at night. We were there for three nights and, although I reported the fault, the noise continued so I had to turn the a/c off. My friend was in 512. I never saw the room but apparently it was impossible to use the shower as it was in the slope of the roof. It may be OK for someone very short. Also, on each evening the keycard would not work. On the first two evenings he was issued with a new card. On the last evening the staff were unable to solve the problem and, after 20mins, gave him a special pass. This would not activate the lift and somebody had to come from reception on each occasion. This hotel is supposed to be 4*. At best I would give it 2*.
I like NH philosophy to renovate old building. My room had a nice window closed to the bed and towards the insight garden. Very well maintained bathroom. Breakfast was ok except for the coffee. Please change provider ! Nice position.
Very modern hotel with nice clean room and good location. This is why you only got 3 stars: We had dinner at the hotel and apparently another tour group was coming in as we set down for dinner and the people from this group came through the dinning room as we were eating, very distracting. If I were in Poznan again, I would simply find another hotel. The breakfast buffet was excellent.
In my opinion, very good hotel in optimal location (near old town). Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. However, bathroon in my room should be renovated. I recommend the hotel, especially for turists. .
I'll start with the positives: the rooms are spotlessly clean, decently spacious and comfortable. Centrally located, and with several tram lines available within a block or two. Unfortunately, if you are travelling for business there is little incentive to stay here. The staff are unrelentingly polite and professional, but the tendancy of filling the hotel with tourist coach parties makes the place useless to business travellers. Don't expect to be able to come to the hotel restaurant to get some food and catch up on some work before an early flight tomorrow, because the number of rooms vastly outweighs the restaurant facilities and you'll be waiting the best part of an hour for any space to become available in the restaurant. Breakfast is similarly chaotic - with no tables available, coffee machines breaking, huge queues for everything - expect to be late for work and meetings. You can't even do any work while waiting for the privilege of a spot in the restaurant as the WiFi in the public areas is a joke, and becomes swamped once more than 2-3 guests seem to be using it. It's taken ages to attempt to post this review. I travel to Poznan semi-regularly and during the winter this hotel is very quiet. But on a previous trip in January I brought my gym gear only to find that the "gym" was under renovation and looked like a construction site - but there was no mention of this on the NH website which still proudly advertised the fitness centre. The signs in the hotel said it was due to be completed before I left. It wasn't. I came back two weeks later and it was *still* a building site. That pretty much sums the place up: the customer facing staff are excellent and do their best, the building and rooms themselves are good, but the management, planning and communication are a joke.
I have been in NH Hotel for weekend with my friend. I can absolutely say that staff is very professional and really kind! As I am travel agent I am traveling very often, I ca honestly say that was really good stay! Reception, room service, house keeping - all excellent! Our stay started with very fast check-in when we have received really nice and big room! :) Room service boy was really professional as well, while we were calling couple of times during our stay. Room was big, really clean and very quiet. Great location, very close to the old town. We are incredibly satisfied from our stay and we do hope to come back to Poznań soon and enjoy stay in NH one more time! Great job! :) Greetings, Julia
At the price I paid, this hotel is a bargain, rooms were clean & decent, staff were extremely friendly & helpful, the location is great, about ten minutes tops from market square, there are a few good restaurants nearby & plenty of bars/pubs etc. All in all a great base to explore Poznan.
The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Fantastic location, walking distance from the train station and also walking distance from the old town square. Our room was very clean (and quiet, despite the central location.) Big bathroom with proper light to do your makeup. Superb breakfast, lots of choice also for vegetarians, everything was fresh and tasty, great value. No problems with wifi. On the downside I'd say the decor does feel like it needs a bit of freshening up. But for a short stay it didn't bother us. Also, the hotel restaurant menu could use some more vegetarian options. What I had was very good but only two dishes to choose from is not very exciting. Overall I'll definitely stay there again when I'm in Poznan, it was a pleasant stay.
We were in the hotel for 3 nights. The guys at the front desk were super nice and the room is big and up to date. The recommindations that we got for food were great aswell. I can only say, yes do it and enjoy poznan.
Excellent stay and value. The Breakfast was worth the money. Absolute good choice for stay in Poznan. Also a good point is that the Hotel is not far from the old part of town. Many other places are in walking distance.
