We had two nights in this hotel. We found it very comfortable, and well located; a 20 min walk from the Old Town. The room was extremely comfortable and clean, and the best feature in the hotel were the ladies in the front desk, especially Stefania, who went out of the way to make train and hotel reservations for us for the city of Gdansk. When we return here, we'll be sure to stay here again!
Nice, spacious, air-conditioned room, with a view, and bigger than average single beds in our twin Choice of pillows. Comfy mattress. The staff in Winstones were absolutely great, and the 2 course meal is exceptional value. Close to the train station, old town and Avenida for shopping, great location We will absolutely stay here again when next in Poznan.
Very convenient location, nice indoor design, very good service, fantastic breakfast - absolutely great choice. Big rooms, big bathrooms. All is ok, nothing to complain. nice hotel to stay for business.
I remember hotel few yers ago, but now it really nice. I like the wiev in the night. For me good place to stay when you are in business trip. Just in the midlle of the city, next to railway station. Tasty breakfast
It is nice to see this old Merkury Orbis hotel getting new life. I remember it from the old times... Everything is the way that a Mercure should be -- except the AC in the room which was somehow noisy... But, this is a typical chain hotel. There is nothing unique / specific / attractive. You sleep there and you think... gosh, they all look the same, feel the same... they have no soul... So, if you are into collecting points in standardized hotels... this is the one for you. If you, on the other hand, look for something special, find some place else... Also, the price is a bit too high... price of the value... Oh, btw, location is very very very good!
I really like the hotel: 1) Great location (5 minute walk from the main train station, 15 minute walk from the Old Town, close to the public transport) 2) Nice, clean and comfortable rooms 3) Tea and coffee facilities 4) Very tasty breakfast 5) Super-friendly staff 6) Good value for the money
We feel like home. I stay at least 2, 3 times per year. And I love it. they provide us with good service, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The only problem is that at breakfast the pastry selection is not as good as it used to be. I know that hotel for many years. But otherwise there is a good selection of different items at breakfast.
While the hotel is nice and comfortable with clean rooms and the breakfast is better than at neighbor hotels, I should note that as soon as you give your credit card to the reception, the hotel charges your credit card with a noticeably higher amount than your expected bill is. The hotel returns that amount to your credit card after some few days but you pay the exchange rate differences! And the Polish Zloty fluctuates in time.
This was an impromptu stop in order to visit the Old Town Square. The square is about a mile to walk from the hotel, easy to find and worth the stop. There is convenient paid parking just outside the hotel, rooms were good and the variety of food at breakfast was outstanding. The menu in the hotel is the same as other hotels - a bit pricey but good.
