There is so much great potential with this stay but unfortunately it did not hit the mark.
We booked 3 nights but had to leave after 2 due to us all becoming sick from black mould, which there was a visible large area impacted beneath the entry stairs in the kitchen and dining open area. We have suffered severe illness from mould impacted buildings before and when we arrived we noticed the large area of mould but hoped it wouldn’t impact us due to us being away all day every day and keeping all windows and doors open when we were back at the home, but unfortunately it still did. We felt symptoms on the first evening where my husband began getting a hoarse voice and a sore throat and I started getting a wheezy cough. The second day in the afternoon when we arrived home our 2 year old spiked a fever over 39dregrees and we spent the entire second night awake trying to manage her fever. We had no choice but to leave immediately the following morning to prevent her becoming more unwell.
We messaged the property manager to let her know and did not receive a reply.
The house also had an ant problem, no tea towels to dry dishes and an iron but no ironing board.
Lovely views and so much potential but a health hazard if you are sensitive to black mould.
We received a refund from Wotif for 1 night only.
