We stayed here for four nights in October and couldn’t be happier. The hotel was beautiful in a wonderful location. Right on the beach. There were so many nice touches in the hotel, from the breakfast to the staff - to the towels and beach bags provided for the beach. We ended up having to stay an extra night due to a transit strike and they were super nice in extending or stay and offering us an additional discount on our room. To the management of the hotel, I just want to say that your staff was awesome. From the front office staff to your restaurant staff - we were treated amazingly. Thank you for an awesome stay!
Booked our second honeymoon in Positano and stayed here on the 4th floor. I give everything 5 stars: room decor, room comfort, view, location, housekeeping. I'd give even more stars to the awesome breakfast and the staff. They seriously could not have done a better job. I want to go back now!!!
We loved Hotel Buca Di Bacco! This nostalgic hotel was charming, clean, comfortable, and truly accommodating! Salvatore was wonderful warm and welcoming. He was so helpful and accommodating every morning at breakfast. The front desk was always willing to help with our daily plans and the cleaning service was extremely good. The room was full of every necessity and lots of nice amenities too (the bathroom supplies were generous)! The view was exceptional and the decor was updated and very charming! We feel that Buca Di Bacco was the perfect choice for our week long stay in Positano! The location is unbeatable and the historically rich character of this beautiful hotel is exactly what we desired!
We can not fault Buca Di Bacco - the room was beautiful, the staff are always so helpful, the service is outstanding. Breakfast was incredible. The rooms are cleaned SO well - we look forward to staying here again. The amenities in the bathroom were generous. The views are priceless. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
My husband & I stayed at Hotel for 5 nights. As soon as Robert checked us in and showed us our room and the view, we knew we choose the perfect hotel. Even though you are located down towards the beach you still have an amazing view of the vertical city. The Hotel is in a car free area so it is lovely and quiet without the scooters and buses roaring past and is nice and handy to the water and harbour. We had dinner here on one evening in the restaurant, which was lovely but it is a big restaurant so opt to have dinner on the terrace, which has a much better setting. The breakfast is also served on the terrace each morning, which is a lovely start to the day. We had a double comfort room with balcony & sea view, which was a decent size room and bathroom and decorated beautifully. We would definitely stay here again.
Getting there is a problem - much of Positano is car-free, and the taxi drops you off at a garage about ten-fifteen minutes walk away, down crowded, cobbled streets. You probably need porters - there are lots of steep steps as you get near the hotel. But once you are there - well, heaven! It's perfectly situated, overlooking the beach and pier, with views also up to the classic Positano houses and hotels on their steep cliff setting. You can see from your bedroom to the islands of Li Galli and even over to Capri, just peeking round the corner. It's just a few steps from the hotel down to the beach area and the superb restaurants in that part of town. Our room (one of their best) was huge and well equipped. Comfortable bed, shower/bath en-suite, tea and coffee-making facilities (you don't always get them in Italy), and a big very private sea-view terrace with shade for part of the day, two sun-loungers, and a table and chairs for four. If the weather's bad (it wasn't while we were there) you have a large luxurious couch and armchair inside. Maid-service was efficient ; the room was spotlessly clean and towels etc. were changed every day. Breakfast was on a terrace, again overlooking the views, with a fascinating machine to press your own orange juice and a constant supply of cappuccinos from the attentive, friendly staff. There's a good selection of fruit, cereals, etc - all you want for a good breakfast! Guests get a 10% discount in the hotel's excellent restaurant, where the food is as good as you'll find in Positano. The only problem there was reserving a table, which staff for some reason seemed reluctant to do for us. On leaving, the hotel arranged and paid for porters (who were essential) to take our luggage back uphill to the taxi.We can't recommend this hotel enough - one of the best we have ever stayed in.
From the check in to check out we enjoyed every moment in this hotel. Top service, actually rather 5 stars than 4. Rooms are very clean and equipped with everything you would expect in a grand hotel. We had two rooms with small balconies overlooking the beach and the bay. The hotel provides beach towels if need and you only need to take the elevator down to the beach, breakfast buffet has all you wish for, so you hardly need to plan for lunch anymore. The staff is very friendly and professional. Although you might spend a few EURO more in Buca di Bacco, it is worth it, as it is surely the #1 spot in Positano.
Beautiful hotel and spectacular view! Definitely the best hotel I have ever stayed in! Staff could not have been more helpful or nice! The location was perfect! Just a few minute walk to the beach! Breakfast was wonderful with lots of choices! We had dinner at the hotel every night as the food was so good and the view amazing!
We came back to this hotel after 3 years... Very glad we did. Top location right near the beach. Very helpful staff The restaurant is very good for food but service a little patchy at night. Breakfast is very good. Great for laundry
There were not a lot of choices when I booked the hotel 1 month ago so,was happy to get a place to stay, for, our three nights. It was expensive and the room description said it came with no view which concerned me. There was no view but it was a wonderful room - just plain gorgeous and well appointed - fabulous plush towels and plush bath robes. There was a door by our room that led up to a fabulous terrace over looking the ocean with lounge chairs where we did not see another person. There was my view. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast had selections galore and was excellent. The location of the hotel was convenient for us - you cannot beat on the ocean. You get what you pay for and would go back here again.
