Asked for an upgrade to a king bed room. Room was badly in need of some TLC. Stains on the carpet which was bubbling in many places. Bed was not a king. Not many options for dinner in the area we were in but main dining room was closed. At at the snack bar area and food was pretty good. Breakfast was included and lacked a lot to offer. Staff were friendly and parking was free.
The Urbano Hotel is a very decent, clean and well located option to stay in Posadas. It is modern and has a friendly staff. The rooms are very light (big windows) and has a good size. Certainly a good option for Business purposes in Posadas.
This hotel is located close to restaurants and shopping. There is a nice pool, with waterfall feature. The lobby is large and bright, everything is modern, comfortable and convenient. Our room was a very large suite. With a large safe. The A/C control is attached to the wall, and a bit fiddly. But once you get used to it, you can control the temperature of your own room well. The bed is comfortable and large. Bathroom is also clean and large. There is street noise that comes through the sliding glass doors, as they do not seal well. But during our stay, the noise level was not distracting. Unfortunately, the carpets in some of the hallways, and room, were stained and poorly laid. But overall, the room and public areas were very clean. Wifi is strong. One design flaw with the bathroom is placing the towel rack in front of the sink, so you have lean over wet towels to use the sink. Poor placement that restricts the proper use of the facilities! Breakfast is better than standard here. The buffet had a good selection of breads, fruit, yogurt, juices. Scrambled eggs were available, and you could make your own toasties in a sandwich maker too. Staff here were really friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here.
We had a large room with an extra large double bed, quite comfortable, with good quality cotton sheets. The en-suite bathroom was large with a strong shower but rather thin towels. Although the aircon had a musty smell, it was tolerable. The room could do with a bit of painting and a little more attention to the soft furnishings. Two large picture windows allow light into the room and provide a nice view of the river and part of the city. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was rather simple, with very cold scrambled eggs and the usual, ham, cheese and croissants. Drinks at the bar were rather pricey but the hotel in general was good value for money. The hotel has a nice pool but we did not use it as it was a little over exposed very close to the reception area. I would recommend this hotel especially for its location, near bars and shops and as it has a nice, modern feel to it.
Decent hotel in the center of Posadas. Easy access to shops, government offices and businesses. The hotel architecture is very modern and the rooms have a minimalist design. However, the hotel isn't quite as well maintained as one would hope. The carpets are in a sad condition, all bubbled up and stained, and my bathroom had a sewer backup. Mmmm. Well they did fix it and I tried to forget... In the restaurant there was a continuous noise from a malfunctioning freezer or cooler. Service was good at the front desk but nonexistent at the restaurant. There was no waiter or waitress to be found at breakfast time. On the positive side, rooms were very large and air conditioning worked well. So overall it was fine, especially considering the location, but the owners need to take action to prevent further slipping of standards.
great room, perfect wifi, and breakfast is good. staff is helpfull and friendly. airco and large room what do you want more. there are some critics about the carpet but hasn't every hotel something. good location in the middle of shops, restaurants and bars
We stayed one night en route between the Ibera wetlands and Iguazu. The hotel was perfectly fine; nice big rooms, clean and peaceful. At least I was on the 9th floor, although my friend on the 5th said his sleep was disturbed by party noise from below/in the street, and mechanical noise ?from the lift. Drinks at the bar were just about OK; the barman was in the corridor talking with a colleague, and we had to catch his attention. They only had Beefeater gin. We ate in the hotel restaurant; as is typical in Argentina, we were the only table at 7:30pm, before the locals turn up for dinner nearer 9pm. The food was fine. Buffet breakfast was pretty typical.
The hotel is very central and near to several good restaurants. With the exception of a certain member of the reception staff (who was very helpful and friendly) this hotel needs to buck its ideas up. Rooms are large and comfortable, but starting to go shabby. Bathroom was clean but the white towels were now grey. Carpets are a disgrace for a hotel of this quality - poorly fitted and stained. 45 minutes before the end of the breakfast buffet some food had run out and not been replaced - specifically scrambled eggs and various items of sliced fruit - again not good enough. A pity since this hotel has potential.
Excellent helpful staff Adequate sized room with basic comforts Centre of restaurants shopping area Breakfast perfectly fine With respect to carpets....evidence of vacuuming, unfortunately light coloured and well used so yes replace them please!
A great one night stay. We had three single beds, it was all very clean. The carpet was horrible, it needed cleaning or updating. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was poor and it seemed like the baked good wasn't fresh. Good wifi. Ideal location for shopping and restaurants but we were there for business.
