Fernando’s place was perfect for our large family and adult children. Though it’s setup as a hostel, we had it booked just for us. Every room having its own bathroom made getting ready a breeze and the entire apartment was very well cleaned and cared for. The kitchen and dining area were the perfect spot to feast on the irresistible charcoal-grilled foods from the restaurant on the corner(chicken or fish, it doesn’t disappoint!), or cook up something from the nearby grocer. Additionally, the bakeries right around the corner were great for grabbing a pastry and espresso to get our days going. The location seemed close enough to everything to walk or take a quick(and cheap) Uber, but just far enough to be quieter at night. There is was some road noise that I could see bothering some, but we live in a city and it was just enough to make us feel at home. ;)

Absolutely beautiful home. Fernando was a great host. He welcomed us early and walked us through sll the details. The rooms are big with big bathrooms. Clean and cute home. We were able to walk downtown with no problem. We loved our stay on this home. It was perfect.

He met us and provided an overview of the features of the apartment as well as a very well organized electronic overview of recommendations for restaurants, sites, transportation options, etc. The accommodations are very welcoming with all needs provided. This was one of the best VRBOs we have ever stayed at. Our host took the time at check-in to show us how everything worked and how to use the browser on the TV to find markets, restaurants, and siteseeing places. The kitchen was sufficient and we cooked 2 nights out of 4. The back patio is a big plus. Getting from here to the sites around Porto was best accomplished by Uber or Bolt. Very inexpensive. The wine store and bakery around the corner were excellent. Highly recommend this apartment.

Fernando was an extraordinary host! He personally met us at the property, even patiently waiting after our arrival was delayed by traffic and heavy rain. Great stay in Porto

Extremely clean and comfortable space for 8 adults (4 couples). Great common/eating areas which accommodated all of us at one time (hard to find this at most properties)! Outdoor space was nice, but needs more lighting at night. Fernando was the best host, great communication and very responsive! Great location, just a short walk to the city center and metro stops near by. Short uber rides to most other places. Highly recommended!

First time in Porto

Our stay at Fernando‘s place in Porto was unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, until the moment we left, Fernando went out of his way to make sure that our first family visit to Portugal was of the highest standards. The effort he put in to making sure that we were provided with information about the house, but also the beautiful city to which he was born and raised; was above expectations. The home had everything that we needed down to the smallest detail. The patio out back became our favourite place to hang out after dinner each night. Fernando is an incredible host and we would highly recommend him if you are planning on visiting Porto. Obrigado Fernando!

This is a perfect location for a family to stay and enjoy Porto and Fernando is an exceptional host. I let Fernando when we were arriving and he met us at the property to let us in and give us a complete tour and overview of the house. He also suggested local business and attractions that were worth visiting. The property had everything we needed to stay comfortably and it was very convenient to the metro and to downtown attractions. We would definitely stay here if we visit Porto again.

Perfect for our family trip

We had a lovely weekend staying at this property. There were six adults and one teenager so three generations. The house was very clean and Fernando met us at the house and because it had already been cleaned we got checked in early. He has spent a great deal of time preparing so much information to help his guests make the most of their stay. We had beautiful weather so we could take advantage of the outdoor garden at the rear of the house. The location is very good and we walked all around the city. There is no safe at the property and no washing machine but there is a laundrette close by if needed. There is a dishwasher which is handy. There are plenty of dishes, glasses, cutlery etc. We loved our stay at Fernando’s house.

Lovely modern apartment

This apartment was just as described. It is absolutely lovely and well situated for an easy walk to the Douro River. Apartment was very clean and modern. Each room is beautifully decorated with lovely bedding and towels. Kitchen is well stocked and the host provided an exceptional welcome with details about Porto and amenities near the apartment. Would definitely plan to stay again with a large group.
