This hotel is pleasant. We found the room to be large (although not much of a view). It was clean with a modern bathroom and good water pressure and temperature. We did book a double room but it was 2 separate beds. I would have liked to have had a kettle for coffee/tea as standard. It’s reasonably located for most things but it is on a hill so unless you get taxis (there is uber) be prepared for walking. The staff were nice and friendly so I’d be willing to stay here again.
I have stayed there for a week. Location is good-close to city center. We booked double room with double bed. It was clean and tidy. Service was nice and professional. Fresh towels every day. It would be just perfect if we had iron and electrical kettle in the room. I would definitely recommend it!
Great location if driving to Porto, 24 hour parking next door, metro station near by, it's a down hill walk to the river, plenty of transport options to get back to the hotel com. Accommodation good clean rooms, lift to all floors. Breakfast very limited selection. Staff very pleasant and very helpful, lovely Italian restaurant 2 mins walk away.
This is a very reasonably priced and comfortable chain hotel. We initially had a small room facing the main road - it was quite noisy and we spoke to the staff at the front desk who obligingly moved us into a bigger room at the back of the building. It is worth paying a bit extra to get these larger rooms away from the road. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the centre of Porto and is opposite a very nice restaurant (Restaurante Portucale) and a small number of bars (Bar Santa Cachaça was very quirky and cool!). There's a bus stop close by. I would stay here again so long as I was in the larger room!
The hotel staff was very friendly in advising and solving problems. My TV didn’t work, so I got an upgraded room for same price. Quite a walk from the river but good value for the money! Nice neighborhood!
Nice and clean room. Wi-Fi connection is perfect. Friendly staff. Breakfast buffet is great, they even have soy milk, which is rare in hotels. Marques Metro Station is a 5 minute walk away. From there you can reach the city centre within 5 minutes. Will stay again at this hotel, if I am ever in the area again.
I didn't book this hotel on my own but was arranged as a package deal by Tripmasters and I found this hotel was above all my expectations. This hotel located at the corner of a quiet neighborhood street but the main street is only 5 minutes away by walking where you can take the bus. I never took the bus during the 4 nights stay because the Bolhao Metro station is just another 5 minutes walk which connect to all the public transportations including the metro to airport. There are many family restaurants along the way while walking to the historical center, we ate our breakfast every morning in different restaurants while walking to city center, lunch in tourists area and dinner in shopping mall food courts near Bolhao metro station (there are two shopping malls near the station) so that made us regretted for one thing that we didn't have a chance having breakfast or dinner at the hotel because we woke up too late everyday and also came back to hotel too late every night so I can't give rating of the restaurants of this hotel. This hotel is a hidden gem, the bed comfortable, wifi signal strong, bathroom modern, hot water from shower was consistent and strong, the desk lamp gave enough lighting for me doing my home work late at night but not strong enough to bother my companion during her slept, also the room have a mini fridge. Definitely I will stay in this hotel again when next time I come to Porto. Specially thanks to Ivo Dias the front office manager who gave us the assistance, a pickpocket stole my wallet in Oriente train station in Lisbon while we aboard the train to Porto. Ivo arranged all the phone calls for us to contacted our credit cards with no charge also gave us direction and map to the police department nearby for police report, the rest of the staff were also very helpful too. I highly recommend this hotel for travelers when come to Porto.
it’s not t at all 4 star hotel. because it is i don’t believe in stared hotel anymore. Not enough parking space. staff is friendly but it seems management is not good. internet is ok but not so reliable. breakfast is also ok not that good. swimming pool showcase is photoshopped not that big not that good not so cleaned. not recommended
This place is in a nice neighbourhood, the staff is always nice and the room was comfortalbe and clean, besides, all the facilities were well maintained and the restaurant was good. The only negative point here is that you have to walk a not-so-short distance to get to the tourist area, in the night when you are coming back exhausted, you could complain to yourself for that. COnsidering that the hotels were not very cheap, I think that this hotel offers you a good relation cost / value
Hello Travelers, been there two or three times is a nice place with nice friendly staff and has several places to walk to, restaurants culture etc, Breakfast is good, rooms are small but practical, always clean! I can recomend it for a couple of nights! Hope it helps, Enjoy!
