Hello Travelers, been there two or three times is a nice place with nice friendly staff and has several places to walk to, restaurants culture etc, Breakfast is good, rooms are small but practical, always clean! I can recomend it for a couple of nights! Hope it helps, Enjoy!
This is a newer hotel that looks very modern but with enough charm to know you are in Portugal. The staff were fabulous and always helpful. We liked the neighbourhood and appreciated the fact that there were fine restaurants within easy walking distance. Breakfasts were excellent. We are happy to recommend this hotel to other travellers.
We enjoyed our stay at Tryp Porto and the main reason is the friendly and helpful staff from reception to staff in breakfast room. They were all ready to pass on suggestions to make our stay in Porto a special one. Thankyou from Mirka and Maree
Stayed here for two nights. The room was very small, but looked updated and very clean. The bed was comfortable. The washroom was spotless. The front reception was polite and helpful. Breakfast had a variety of choices and was good. Underground parking was available at a cost, although spaces were limited and difficult for a larger vehicle to park due to the size and placement of the support columns. It is a long and gruesome walk uphill from the waterfront to the hotel. Take a taxi. It's the better choice. I do not hesitate recommending this hotel.
Stayed here with friends for long weekend of Port tasting. Clean, spacious room, friendly attentive staff and a great choice for breakfast. Not far from Marques metro so a short walk and metro ride and you're in hub of down town Porto.
In reception we had a bad experience. They can't manage the group keys and rooms. We got room side by side as we wanted but after 5 minutes we were separated in different floor. My dauther cried..... And what a noise in 7.00 morning?
Stayed here as part of a tour group. The rooms were clean, the Wi-Fi was very good, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The food wasn't brilliant, but that was probably because we were part of a tour group so we got what we were given rather than choosing from a menu. The area is not great, but it's within easy walking distance of the main Santa Catarina street, and the historic city centre, which are all lovely.
We booked the hotel through my Melia rewards points for a 5 day break. Check in time limit is 18.00 so if you're ariving later you have to secure the room against a card even though the reception is 24 hours. The room was clean and tidy with a stocked minibar, although the safe is at an additional cost. Breakfast was okay, mainly continental with some bacon, susage and scrambled eggs. The property is located some distance from the river and the Ribira areas, however it's all downhill on the way there (but a bit of a slog to get back) however a taxi from town back was only 6 euro. There isn't much around the hotel in the way of bars and restaurants, but the little cafe come bar just to the left does good fresh food and serves drinks at a very reasonable prices if you get fed up with the walk into town.
Small business hotel in the city center. Walking distance to historic center, metro, and other public transportation. Conference and business facilities, rooms with balcony and very friendly staff. Overall Great 3 stars hotel.
We chose this hotel, my wife, son and I, for is value and location and we aren´t sorry. The staff was very nice. The room wasn´t big, mid size, but very well for a week end break to visit the city of Porto. In terms of cleanliness everything was OK. The bed was very confortable and we sleep very well. Down point: the view, you don´t have a view...
