Although it's a little outdated the location cannot be surpassed. Close to everything you need. Restaurant just next door is cheap and really good. Shopping is great if you have the patience to wait for your better half. Front End staff were very helpful.
The front desk appears to not like hotel guests! They are very rude. The rooms are old and outdated. The queen bed is two single beds pushed together with a gap. Just not a very nice place. Porto is nice but this hotel isn't.
So we came to the quality Inn for vication in Porto and were really surprised form the level of cleaning in the hotel - it was a really high level expect from the moment we arrived and enter the room becaused we have ordered a non smoking room and whan we enter the room there was a strong smell of cigarettes. Whan we called the reception they sent someone right away to refresh the room to our taste. Breakfast was really basic and not at all to my taste- didn't enjoy that at all! We were 3 adult in a room and we gothink a really big and comfortable room- the bathroom was really nice with dove sope. The parking lot of the hotel is a bit far and a bit complicated to get there....
The hotel are in a very good zone for walking, the city has a lot of mountains, so you can go walking (until the Rio Douro) and come to hotel by taxi (will not be more than 10 euros). Very few options on the breakfast and the fruits wasn't god also
Quality inn Porto is ideal bolthole for a city stay. Most attractions and places are available by foot. Room lovely, linen changed daily.room cleaned daily. Breakfast first morning complete chaos, no cups, plates,or table for that matter, so put us off going in again. A little tired looking to be honest.
Great location. Pleasant staff. Breakfast had something for everybody. Hotel has a "business center" but computer wasn't working during our stay which was a minor inconvenience.. Tourist busses can be found in front of a large Macdonald's ( Don 't miss the chandeliers) down a steep hill. You can also catch a Hop On/Off bus near the hotel, and get off at the same spot later saving the walk up the hill. Several places to eat right outside the hotel entrance.
Stayed overnight and found the the hotel is a good standard for the money. The rooms where clean and tidy, but I did detect the faint odor of cigarette smoking. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom spacious and clean. Breakfast was okay, and had a good choice.
Quality in Porto is a very Nice hotel. It is in the very centre of the city, so everywhere you want to go can be done on foot. The hotel is very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfastbuffet offers everything you could wish for : fresh fruit, yoghurt, jams, toast, cheese, breadrolls,... Our room was very spacious, and so was the bathroom. Definitely a place to go back to.
It´s easy to go walking for the sightseeing. The room was plenty of space.and nice view. The staff was very kind and helpful when I needed something to ask. I would prefer to stay the hotel again if we visit the ciry.
I stayed 4 nights in Porto in this hotel in May - good location downtown, there’s free Wi-Fi, free bathroom items, good shower, beds are comfortable, room was small but clean and tidy, tea and coffee facilities, the breakfast was classic but really well made. Staff was very polite and helpful. I was satisfied with this hotel and and recommend it to others.
