Porto Trindade Hotel

The hotel across the road from Trindade metro station - this is on the direct from the airport and also on the lines for the sight seeing you will want to do in Porto. Our room was at the back of the hotel and was vey quiet. We did not hear traffic or other guests. The welcome glasses of port were a nice touch. The desk staff were very helpful and booked local restaurants for us. The room was clean and had everything you could want, but the pillows and beds were a little too firm for us. The breakfast was excellent - lots of choice and regularly replenished.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The hotel staff was friendly. We each got a free glass of Port with the stay. The room was comfortable and nicely designed. I liked that there were lots of dim lights, so you could control how bright the room was. The bed was a bit hard for my taste, but my husband liked it. The shower had pretty low water pressure, but they provided hand soap, which hotels rarely do. The room had a hot water kettle and instant coffee and tea were provided. Bottled water was also provided in the room, and they had a mini fridge as well. Breakfast was included and was nice but not great. Fresh fruit, pastries, hard boiled eggs, pastel de nata (room temperature). They also had hot scrambled eggs, beans, and tomatoes with cheese, it none of these looked very appealing. This was the one hotel of 5 we stayed in this trip that had brewed coffee, which was a nice change of pace after drinking espresso everywhere else. The Trinidade metro station is just across the street and you can go from there to the airport and some of the main downtown areas. Porto is beautiful to just walk around and explore, and is very safe.

Absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel at all. From the initial offering of a free glass of Port in the hotel bar, to the sharp, clean, modernist rooms, to the voluminous and wonderful breakfast buffet down in the basement, it could not have been a better value for the money. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. At one point I thought it was odd that the elevator was so small, but then I found out that was the case *everywhere* along the Camino. Plus, you get used to it. I would recommend it to anyone spending a few days in Porto.

Good hotel near city center to walk around and "explore" all the sights. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is good. I would stay there again. You will have to pay for a parking lot nearby. Get a stamp from the hotel then its cheaper.

Stayed for 3 nights as part of a two centre break. Easy access for Airport and train station as excellent location adjacent to a main hub metro station (Trindade) but also easy walking to central Porto. All metro tickets are machine sales only but staff on hand at major stations to help. Hotel Reception friendly and helpful. Local cafes and small restaurants easy to find. Also, adjacent to the town hall en route down hilln there is a a tourist information office as well as a supermarket in the commercial centre . The breakfast buffet is excellent and varied including lovely membrillo and manchego and custard tarts. Facilities in room very good. - fridge, tea & coffee making. However would agree with previous comments that the pillows are exceptionally hard .! Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Conveniently situated on the road across from Trindade station. Steep walk downhill from the hotel quickly levels out. The Metro will take you to Sao Bentos, about halfway towards the river or there are buses nearby. Staff on Reception efficient and helpful. A voucher for a welcome glass of port from the bar which opens at 5pm. The decor of the hotel is modern. We had a room for 3 on floor 9. The lift only goes to 8 (we weren't sure if this was temporary as a notice said there was work going on during the day, but we never heard it) so we had to carry our cases up to the top floor. This, plus the soundproofing isn't good so we could hear the neighbour's talking and their tv, is the reason for only 4 stars from me. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. 3 ladies work hard to keep the tables cleared at busy times. I would recommend this hotel.

We very much enjoyed our short stay at this comfortable hotel. The location is great, reasonably quiet but close enough to the centre and the attractions on offer in Porto. Our room was quirky with the bed positioned in the middle of the room! However, it was extremely comfortable, was spotlessly clean and had a very good bathroom too. Customer service by the staff was first class too. We were advised on parking and the recommended restaurant was superb. All in all we had a short but very enjoyable stay. We will definitely return to Porto and will certainly stay at this hotel when we do.

Bit small. Probably only about 50 rooms but has all you need for a city break. Take the Metro from the airport. Hotel is opposite Trindade metro station. Downhill walk of 15 minutes to the river or a very short Metro ride to about half way down. More use coming back up the slope. Don't miss the funicular from the cathedral to the bridge. Bit like a big dipper! Hotel is fine. I would recommend it. And you get a free glass of port on arrival.

This is one of the best small hotels we have stayed in. Immaculate and spotlessly clean. Staff friendly and helpful -there was a small problem with the shower control which we reported on our way out - it was fixed when we returned. A small breakfast was provided as we were leaving before breakfast was served. Fridge and kettle in room - clean and modern bathroom. Breakfast was excellent - lots of fresh food, constantly replenished. The location is great - metro opposite (if you need it) - about 10 minutes walk to old town and a further 10 to the River. Would gladly return.

The hotel had friendly personnel, and the room was clean, cozy, well decorated and quiet. Though the hotel is extremely close to a central subway station, it is also greatly located in Oporto, so it is also possible to walk on foot to many touristic points. It has a great price/quality relationship and a breakfast with an amazing quality and good variety.
