Fabulous in all respects, one of the best overall hotels we have enjoyed in Europe. Excellent rooms and facilities, and all staff were outstanding, friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was remarkable, well stocked and diverse. Our family had 3 rooms with balconies which we enjoyed sitting in the sun and drinking complimentary port. Conveniently located to attractions and parks in all directions within a 10 minute walk. Our one dinner there was excellent, tasty, beautifully prepared and delivered by friendly staff. We would come back again if we return to Porto.

Beautiful Hotel

Our stay at Hotel Timbres was wonderful. The staff is first-rate: helpful, personable, and friendly. The hotel is newly renovated, yet keeps the charm of its 16th century construction. Special treats such as chocolates,handwritten notes, and a bottle of port make the hotel even more remarkable.

Sarà and Dogo are the best receptionists . Very friendly and professional staffs ! Beautiful hotel except one thing is the street is too narrow . The car can’t goes in . The bed is so comfy and view from the balcony very beautiful

We had a really lovely stay at this hotel. It's a little off the beaten path on a narrow stone street. The room was comfortable, large and clean. The view from our balcony was beautiful. The staff was very helpful for anything we needed and came by nightly to give us a fresh bottle of water and chocolates. The breakfast was excellent too.

This was a gorgeous hotel. The staff was really nice and that made a huge difference. The hotel is a little tricky to find, but once you know where it is it’s very easy. Lots of walkable things from it. Also an easy Uber ride to other areas. The room was beautiful. The bed was super comfy. The shower was great. The breakfast was awesome. The little bar lounge was wonderful. we ended up staying two extra days because we liked it there so much. The only thing that needed work was the WiFi is spotty. So if you have to work a lot there that could be tough. They are working on it, because the structure is basically an old castle which is gorgeous, the stone is challenging for the WiFi.

A lovely hotel with the most pleasant and helpful staff throughout. Everyone was super helpful and nice. We arrived quite a few hours earlier than expected and the kind manager on duty allowed us to check in to a beautiful room. Everything was just perfect.
