Been here a few times but not for a couple of years. Bedrooms have been updated and most have showers now and not baths - when we asked to have a room with a bath it was not a problem and we were given a room with a bath straight away. Irma the manager is lovely lady as are the staff - very clean hotel and efficient staff. Fantastic position and the view is fabulous. Food is really good and my one and only observation is that i really miss having fresh vegetables -this is not just this hotel but quite a few in Spain i have been to. Really good salads and fresh fruit so not having fresh veg is a let down for me but the only one. Enjoyed our stay very much
Nice hotel overall, great location across the road from the beach. Our room was very small, but had a nice balcony to sit out and look at the ocean. There are different types of bathrooms. My parents had a bathtub and large bathroom in their room. We had a shower stall instead and the bathroom was very tiny. We are regular sized people and it was too small for us. We booked the half board, so breakfast and dinner were included. The breakfasts were good, lots of variety, although very greasy eggs and sausage. The dinners were pretty bland and tasteless for the 5 nights we were there. There's a different meat carved each night and I enjoyed the salmon one night. Staff for the most part are helpful and friendly. Paco is a much friendlier bartender than Tony. Tony could learn to smile at customers once in a while. Anabel was a great server, always smiling and friendly. My complaints would be on the second last day, we saw a cockroach in the seating area of the restaurant. Kind of turned us off the food after that. My other complaint is that the road side of the hotel is very noisy all night with fights, yelling and motorbikes on the road and then street cleaners start up early in the morning.
Stayed at the Felip end of February beginning of march. Nice clean hotel with options for meals included. Hotel has spa, gym, pool and restaurant. Only minor issues included small bathroom and room which made moving around with luggage difficult. As well hotel has no parking so you need to compete for public parking on street. Staff are great. Paco and Annie stood out with respect to service. Many restaurants close by should you want some variety. Short walk to beach and shopping.
Nice and a little old fashioned mallorquin hotel. The staff is absolutely friendly and very busy to make your stay nice. The room we first had was a little bit small, but it was no problem to change the next day without any more money to pay for. We had a seaview room, with a balcony, but I think it's better to have a room at the back side of the hotel, because it's quieter (there is a Burger King beside the hotel and sometimes the youth is a little bit loud there, also the traffic is a little bit too loud at night). The Food is nothig very special, but it's okay for the price we paid. Here the kitchen staff only had to look a little bit better if there is everything okay with the salad and the fresh fruit, sometimes there were some undelicious old food within, and the arrangement of the food could be a little bit more with love and a look for nice details, the eyes also eat. But the whole staff was very, very nice. I think I will come back for more.
Just finished our first weeks stay at this hotel which is everything we could of wished for . Staff are very friendly the hotel very comfortable and the food is first class in terms of choice, quality and quantity. Overall the Felip offers excellent value for money. The only negative is lack of a private car park but overnight parking along the seafront was never a problem. Porto Cristo is a lovely place to stay that is away from the hustle and bustle of the larger resorts.
Maybe not 4 star as in England but very close ! Staff, food location all excellent ! Decor a bit dated but the rooms were clean and pleasant . Balcony at the front was really nice . Great value and we would certainly visit again .
A wonderful experience. Great rooms, staff and unique food! Its cheaper, and quieter if you stay in the annex building. Great spa attached, cool pool and relaxation areas. Great views from terrace and good range of food/drinks. The best place to stay on the island, if you don't want noisy kids or drunk idiots!
Our first winter break in Mallorca gave us an opportunity to visit places on the island we would not normally visit. Turned up in Porto Cristo at lunchtime - after a lovely sunny drive around the south-east area. But everywhere seemed closed but as we were about to drive out we noticed movement at Hotel Felip. We are so glad we stopped - it was like stepping into an Agatha Christie novel - beautiful old world splendour. We sat on the terrace, in the bright sun with a lovely view of the bay and enjoyed their menu of the day. The service was friendly and professional and food freshly cooked and tasty. With a nice glass of wine this came to just 9 euros. A very pleasant surprise and a just the way to spend a couple of hours in the winter sunshine.
Spent a fabulous 10 nights including Christmas and New Year at this lovely hotel. All of the staff were so friendly it was great. Porto Cristo is a real town with character not just a resort and this classy old hotel has a fantastic position looking over the harbour. We had a hire car from the airport and on street parking is free during the winter months but we had to drive around to find a space a few days. Our package with Monarch was great value but meant we stayed in the annexe but the view from room 116 was better than some other rooms although being immediately above the door it was a little noisy. Still it was a good size room and bathroom and a comfortable bed. The choice of food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was great and the standard was delicious. Entertainment on Xmas and New Years Eve was good. There was kettle, cups, coffee, sugar and teabags in the room but no milk. We bought some milk from the local supermarket and kept in the fridge for morning cuppa. The teabags were not replenished by the maid and when we enquired at reception we were told it was only a welcome but the nice receptionist gave us some extra tea bags.
Yet again, having returned from our annual break between Christmas and New Year, Irma and the team made this a trip to remember. Despite a few issues when we arrived, they were dealt with quickly and without fuss. If we had a gripe, its is no longer all inclusive, but this was just a minor point, as we did not see some of the regular customers, so it must have had an impact. The food was exceptional as usual with a different theme each night. Again, thanks must go to all the team, the service they provide, makes you feel like part of a family rather than a guest in a hotel chain. Irma - Thanks for making my mother feel very special on her birthday, they are hoping to come back with us next year
