Very high touch (but not intrusive service) Guest rooms are nice and well appointed. The restaurant in an old barn is spectacularly beautiful and rustic. The ambience, food and service in the restaurant were each 5 star quality

One of the hotels we stayed in recently on our trip to New England - probably our favourite! Small with so much character; it had personal, very professional and friendly staff; we had a fabulous room/bathroom; the lounge area was so cosy with a fire and even some drinks to help yourself to; all of the furnishings and soft furnishing were really lovely. We left some of our things behind and they both telephoned and emailed us to let us know, they ended up posting them home to us. We did pay the postage but it was a gesture that was very much appreciated.

A most pleasant visit and hit on all eight cylinders. Room was extraordinarily comfortable and staff couldn’t be more friendly. Dining venues were also extraordinary. Beautiful setting in both restaurant and bistro. Never tried the restaurant (pre-fixed) but bistro was good. Wish I could give it a 10 but too greasy for my tastes. Wouldn’t hesitate returning.

Just back from a few fantastic nights at the White Barn Inn. It's such a lovely place and a great example of a New England inn, but what really sets it apart are the staff and the fantastic food. The team were incredibly helpful and always happy to give recommendations and anything else you could think of. The food was truly spectacular with breakfast being a highlight.

We recently visited Kennebunk/Kennebunkport, Maine and stayed at The White Barn Inn. It was a charming and quaint inn that had an outstanding staff that really went the extra mile to make you feel welcome! Every employee with which we came into contact was friendly, professional, polite and accommodating! Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly valets/bellman and then offered hot cider by the front desk staff. As we were checking-in, afternoon tea was being served in the living room. Both were delicious! Also, the front desk staff made spa appointments for us for the following morning and helped us locate points of interest on the local map. We were then shown around the inn and taken to our guest room where the young man was kind enough to show us how to operate the heating/AC unit and the TV. He also showed us our welcome letter, bottled water and treat that were provided. We ate two meals at The Bistro (breakfast and dinner) and they were both excellent! The restaurant/lounge staff were extremely attentive! We enjoyed the piano music that accompanied our meal. We also had the Couple's Massage and thoroughly enjoyed it! The staff was very well trained and friendly. My husband and I were much more relaxed when we left the spa! Our room was small, but we expected this with a 150 year old building. However, our room and bathroom were both nicely appointed and the bathrooms had obviously been recently updated. It was a wonderful way to spend our last day of our nine-day trip to New England! We also loved the history and beauty of the two towns!

Very nice stay except only warm water to take shower in the late afternoon, not what you would expect for this price point. I also do question the resort fee as this is more a hotel than a resort but we did know there was a fee before checking in so it was not a surprise. Overall very nice stay and of course dinner at the restaurant is always amazing.

Excellent services, great location but the facility needs updating. The price is high for the type of facility. It is within walking distance to the beach and the town. Kennebuckport is within 15 minutes walk from the hotel. However, it is very congested. We dined at the Bistro at the hotel. The services are very good but the food didn't meet our expectation.

This historic "Barn" has been an exclusive Hotel for many years. A few elements did not match up to the anticipated exclusivity. 1. The "Air-bed" Mattress for our son was squeaky and uncomfortable 2. The bathroom amenities were not restocked in 3 days 3. The Breakfast was a disaster - no healthy options (e.g. whole grain bread or sugar-free granola), coffee slopped into saucer, everything served at intervals, insisted on selling "Voss" Water and no alternative local mineral waters All this would have made this stay a 2-point valuation .... were it not for Robyn. The dinner at the Inn with her help was a godsend. We were sat under the aircon and my husband requested it be turned down a notch. Other servers were over-challenged and sought help. That's when the friendly and competent Robyn showed up. She simply stepped up to the vents, redirected the cold stream, and we were able to fully enjoy our dinner. Hence, at least 2 stars "rescued by Robyn"

White Barn Inn is indeed a five star resort. It is a beautiful setting, has excellent staff and a top notch restaurant. The service that we received was the best from the front desk ladies to the restaurant servers. The piano music was very appropriate for the dining experience.

We stayed at the end of September in the Suite. We were greeted with bourbon and lemonade. The room had a rain shower, fireplace, jacuzzi tub, really comfortable king size bed.We had the 4 course price fix menu which was Amazing! We also took advantage of the spa with Katy and Melissa. I had a crick in my neck which they worked out. They is serious professionals. Not just fru fru masseuses'. The staff was always working to make sure you had anything you desired. The beach and town are an easy walk and the heated outdoor pool is fantastic. We will be going back!
