2024 August Week Stay

We had a great week staying at this house. House renovations were top notch. It was very clean and uncluttered. Communication and responsiveness from Paula was awesome. Swam in the lake every day. Had fun using the provided kayaks and ping pong table! House had everything we needed for a great week.

Lake house stay in Maine

The property was in great condition and very fully and attractively equipped. We didn’t even get around to using all the amenities. Having kayaks available to use on the lake was appreciated, and the lake is so close that you feel like you’re right on the water when you’re sitting in the living room. We also appreciated that the owner made it easy to recycle. Communications were easy and the owner was very responsive.

Wonderful Vacation on Forest Lake

The property was fantastic. The inside of the home was very clean with beautiful water views of the lake. We spent most of our time sitting outside at the dock or on one of the balconies. The weather was perfect and warm enough to go in the lake. My husband enjoyed fishing!! Paula is a great host and communicated with us several times during our stay, even on the long journey back to our home. Would love to return again next year. You can't go wrong with this place!!

Do not hesitate to book this quiet, lakefront property

Do not hesitate to book this quiet, lakefront property. It is even better than described. The house is extremely clean and it has everything you need for an easy getaway. Paula, the owner, is quick to respond to texts. Highlights include multiple windows overlooking the lake, nice towels, plenty of pillows and blankets and a comfortable bed. There is also plenty of hot water. The property is nicely landscaped with a balcony, deck, outdoor fire place,and a private dock. Two kayaks, a canoe, and life jackets are available to explore the lake. We loved swimming in the lake and there is a drying rack in the basement for wet swimsuits.

Perfect lake vacation

This was the perfect lake cabin for my husband and me and our daughter and son-in-law. They were delighted with the lake access just outside the door and took advantage of swimming and boating almost every day. My husband and I enjoyed the gorgeous view and quiet reading time. We did a few day trips in the area as well. The cabin was exceptionally clean and provided all the linens, kitchen supplies and boating needs we could want. The interior has been recently remodeled and is very comfortable for four people. We enjoyed our stay and would book again if in the area.

Everything we wanted

Very clean and well stocked. Perfect for family vacation. We floated in the lake, paddled the kayaks and fished from the dock. Super relaxing and quiet. Excellent communication with the host, Paula. 30 minute drive to downtown Portland.

A Week on Forest Lake

Our experience in Maine was outstanding. Paula communicated clearly so that we knew what to expect. The house was clean and prepared with everything needed for a week long retreat. The kitchen had everything needed. We had access to a canoe, kayaks, life jackets and paddles. The fishing was excellent! Paula even had fresh-cut flowers and coffee waiting for us. Couldn’t have been a better experience.

Utter Bliss!

This house was absolutely perfect for us in every way! Paula was very accommodating with check in and out times, offering extensions that were not even requested. Excellent proximity to Portland and other coastal day trips. The private dock and easy access to kayaking was blissful. The house is super comfortable, with stunning views. No TV was a welcome change, and WiFi is excellent. And ping-pong! We'll be back!

Absolutely Perfect

Lovely home - impeccably clean and very comfortable. Everything you could need and then some. Paula set us up with the necessities and wonderful little touches in every room. She even kindly mailed me my forgotten charger. It's a great, central spot for day-tripping and seeing the sights of the area - though kayaking on the gorgeous lake and coming up close to the loons who live there was amazing! Would highly recommend it and can't wait to go back!

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

My fiancé and another couple stayed here over the weekend as we toured the Old Port of Portland. It was only 30 min from the city and we had such a nice home to come back to with lake views, grill and fireplace for a home cooked meal, and a serene spot to relax. Paula made sure we had everything we needed and was easily available to contact. Highly recommend!

Lovely Lakeside

My husband, adult daughter and I spent a week at this wonderful house. It is comfortably furnished with a modern kitchen, and beautiful views of the lake. This property is wonderful! We arrived to an impeccably clean house. There were welcoming touches left for us. The kitchen is well thought and stocked with good quality houseware. The beds and living spaces were very comfortable. The views of the lake are stellar - we had an added bonus of there being a full moon to appreciate. We highly recommend this property and intend to return.

Lovely, spacious, clean lakefront home full of amenities, including fresh cut flowers. We couldn’t get enough of the lake view and nature sounds. Very Special Place!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this lovely cottage. It is a meticulously renovated house, and is set up for renters with great attention to detail. The house was spotless when we arrived! Paper goods, cleaning supplies, hand soap, hotel shampoos, etc were all stocked. The towels and linens were nice and new. The location was great- close enough to Portland and Sebago, but very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and fishing on Forest Lake. The property has a great outdoor area with plenty of seating. There is a small outdoor loveseat, 4 Adirondack chairs around a firepit, a picnic table, and a gas grill. The owners were super helpful and kind! Overall, this was a great home base for us to visit family in the area and explore the lakes. Hope to return in the future!
