The space is relaxing and inviting and in the perfect location- you will fall in love with Portland never want to leave. The space Our 800 sq. ft. space has everything you will need for a relaxing stay. Custom white oak countertops and built-ins, bath vanity and windowsills enhance the modern lines. Eco-friendly soft cork floors, custom gas fireplace, and large windows give warmth and comfort. A well designed Euro kitchen and Spa-like Bathroom with two shower heads, double sinks, Pratt and Larsen hand-made tile, and rejuvenation fixtures will add to the experience. Our small kitchen has every modern convenience you could ask for including custom white oak and solid surface counters, brand new compact refrigerator, dishwasher, and full size stove and oven. Floating shelve hold all of your dishes and plates and the kitchen is fully equipped with cooking supplies and utensils including toaster and microwave and coffeemaker. The living room and dining area are brought together with a cozy gas fireplace. The generous walnut dinning room table is ample for four and can be the perfect spot to play games and puzzles, or as a work area. Unlike many basements in an old home we have a brand new foundation which allowed us to bring lots of light in with large windows and a full light front door. This means no water issues, up to date wiring and insulation, and best of all, high ceilings! The two bedrooms are super warm and cozy with personal heaters in each room, large closets, comfortable beds, and high-end linens. The master bedroom has a Queen sized bed and two closets- one with lots of storage shelves and rods. The other holds a brand new stacking washer and dryer. We have tried to add every amenity that we would be looking for in an extended stay space. Guest access To enter your apartment you will go through a large custom metal gate that leads to a spectacular garden. Follow the modern concrete pads to the stairs to the basement apartment. There will be a small outdoor patio at the bottom of the stairs for you to enjoy a morning cup of coffee, or a glass of wine, in the evening. Our yard is used mostly by our kids, and so not considered shared. Of course, we want you to feel at home, and are happy to have you wonder a round a bit, and enjoy the gardens. Its also possible we will be out of town, and are happy to have you using the space. Other things to note Please reach out to us with any questions or concerns you may have. We are experienced Air BnB travelers and hosts, and make every effort to set up an experience for guests like we would want to receive.
