The grounds are very well maintained and have a huge variety of different indigenous plants and trees. There are many amenities and things to do nearby. The staff is extremely helpful and willing to go the extra mile to help you plan activities and to recommend places to go and things to do in the area and beyond. Cabinas are neat and clean.
My daughter and I had the best time here. Can't thank Manuel enough on the hospitality, the advice the support. The surroundings are unbelievable and my daughter was ecstatic with the wildlife. I am certainly going back. Thanks you for the most amazing time.
Good things: -Surrounded by nature -Peaceful place -Your room is very private -Nice pool Things to improve: -Breakfast isn't enough (too small) and beverage is only coffee -Needs to improve costumer attention
Folks - you would do well to visit this beautiful lodge complete with swimming pool and lovely surroundings. It's also close to some gorgeous, un spoilt beaches and 20 minutes drive to Manuel Antonio Nature Reserve, numerous attractions and restaurants. Great value and memorable place.
Beautiful resort in acres and acres of tropical forest with waterfalls and an enormous variety of animals. The moths are spectacular. Although far from the crowded tourist spots, it is near the beach so you can choose whether to spend the day at the beach or meandering through the forests. The rooms were very clean and the staff were excellent, always willing to help. Breakfasts were of a good size, never went hungry. Can't wait to go back there.
Surrounded by immaculate gardens with exotic plants, in bungalow that was well kept and clean, staff very helpful, breakfast and dinner delicious, easy access to many private beaches, all these has make a wonderful 7 days stay in La PaLapa and I look forward to and would visit again.
Had a wonderful three day stay. Grounds are lovely. Found Manuel the owner interesting, friendly and very accommodating. He invited me to a local bar to watch football and have a beer. Great stay, great place.
We stayed in a cabin with full cooking facilities and a fridge but ate our meals at the resort. Breakfasts were generous and the dinners which had to be pre-ordered by 4 PM were very satisfying. There are lots of birds on the property and along the trails on the hillside and along the river. The waterfall pool a short walk up the road is a great place to cool off or just relax in the swimming pool. This location is centrally located and near a variety of activities and places offering guided tours or experiences like zip-lining.
The good the bad and the ugly! So the facilities are clean and cute just like the photos say. It is way off the beaten track, 25 mins to Dominical or Quepos. Down a rocky road and nestled in the jungle. The grounds are well kept. At check in they attempted to make us pay extra for our son saying that in CR law says a 9 year old is an adult and he was booked in as a child. REALLY?? The staff had a difficult time smiling. Breakfast was minimal. Customer service really was non existent. Beds were very uncomfortable and pillows lumpy. Would I go back?? Definitely not. We had better accommodations elsewhere that were much cheaper.
Stayed here for 2 nights on our way to Drake Bay. The resort are a little bit off side but isn't any problem if you have a car. There is a restaurant on the lodge but you need to list you for the dinner before 15.30 if I remember right. The food is good but maybe a little bit pricy. Breakfast is included and are ok but they could give you a little bit more fruit. The surroundings, are fantastic with a lush garden and private hiking trials. You can se the poisnous small black frogs with a blueish pattern. The rooms have no A/C but a cooling fan that make it ok to sleep. The beds are nice. There are no wi-fi in the rooms but free in the restaurant and by the pool. There are a few sunbeds by the pool and some chairs and tables. The staff and the owner were friendly and helpful with suggestions about other restaurants and about what to see and do in the area. It was a nice place to stay at and worth the price we payed.
