Unresponsive owner/manager
I tend to be very lenient and understanding. It is a rarity for me to leave negative feedback, and I am disappointed to have to do so this time.The biggest issues were a complete lack of communication and no wifi. I was never sent instructions to check in and only received the door code after reaching out to the owner while on the way to the property. Thankfully, they replied within a couple of hours with the door code.However, after getting to the property, we discovered the wifi was not working and immediately notified the owner. Without the wifi, there was no television and no ability for us to easily work remotely. We were limited to the hotspots on our phones.We sent multiple messages and tried to call throughout our first two days. The owner never responded. No acknowledgement. No apology. No attempt to correct the situation. Nothing. There were other issues, but they did not impact our stay as much. The house has a definite mustiness that could be a problem for someone with allergies, gnats in the sink (common for the area and time of year), and the furniture needs some attention - particularly the kitchen table that is near collapse and the bed frame that came apart on our first night.With just a small amount of attention and intentional communication, this could have been a much, much better experience.
