The unit was large we had the pent house it is quite dated , the couch was grotty , the oven dirty and hot plate bathrooms were fine , the staff were lovely at least the ones I interacted with, the pool was great, clean and great for families , we stayed for 6 nights so we didn’t get the unit cleaned you have to stay for seven which is fine but they should have a mop so we are able to clean and mop the floor at least as we were a family of 6 otherwise great for young families

Room was nice and big and very spacious. A very Comfortable longe Pool was lots of fun and a good size too Close walking distance to shops And marina. The only down side was the view as the top end of building is now completely blocked by a new high rise apartment being built it from of it. (Luckily I got a cheap price for room on Wotif as if I had had to pay the normal price I definitely wouldn’t have been happy and would have asked for another apartment)

Was pretty average, for what we spent i didnt feel i got value for money. Room was quite smelly, dishwasher smelt like fish, blinds were mouldy and my reservation was changed without any communication seperating me and my sister which made the stay distressing and frustrating

The room was very very dirty. Rooms are not maintained and there are food crumbles left by previous customers. We can understand we arrive at a public holiday day but this is not an excuse for the lack of very basic quality of a service product. I am really disappointed for this place.

Our stay at the Mantra Aqua in Nelson Bay felt like an absolute scam.We had booked two nights in a superior resort view room and what we got was a neglected,dirty,grimy and mouldy appartment that overlooked a construction site. We were shocked that this apartment is even rented out as it had so much wrong with it. To top it off,our balcony sat right over the communal smoko corner for staff and residents so none of the ‘we are a smoke free complex’…unbelievable. When approached about the state of the apartment,staff responded that ‘the photos on our website are only indicative and perhaps next time we should not book with Wotif,but with them directly so they can give us a room that is more to our taste’,go figure…We are absolutely appalled by what happened to us-please read this before you book as we are sure this is a known issue with resort staff. We feel betrayed and scammed and would never stay at the Mantra Aqua again!!!

Fantastic location easy walk to everything with undercover parking. Great clean apartment, though looking a little tired, could do with minor upgrades. Comfortable bed. We had a pool view balcony, it’s worth consider special request if you prefer morning or afternoon sun on your balcony. Only downside was being top floor the balcony had no roof & no shade in daytime. Pool lovely & spa warm. Staff friendly & helpful
