The only good thing about this motel is that the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was in dire need of refurbishment as the taps, shower and bath looked like they were from the 60’s. Damp patches on the bathroom ceiling and a musty smell. The pool area was a complete letdown. The pool was ok, but the covered seating area was absolutely filthy. The only two sunshades were broken. Won’t be going back there again 🤬
Room smelled !mould smoke and who knows what.,dirty, mattresses and pillows, curtains, stained and dirty tub , floors ,walls doors ,pics to follow. This stay included a points stay along with extra booked days that we canceled. Choice rewards was wonderful in helping us resolve lost points. Management moved us to another room that smelled equally as bad. They allowed us to cancel our bookings without penalty. The desk attendant that works the morning was definitely more understanding than the manager at night.
First room spelled like cat pee. They gave me a second room it spelled like cat pee a little bit. There was mold. This hotel could use an update. For the price (in this area) it’s what you would expect. The guy in the morning was friendlier than the one at night. Alarms on your room door in the middle of the night. Towels were thin. Could have been cleaner. No breakfast like it says on the website. This hotel is in need of an update.
Booked because of limited number of rooms in the area and this place had decent reviews on the Quality Inn website. The place is in very poor condition. Mold around the tub and on the shower curtain. Used towels and washcloths hung on the towel rack, no clean towels to replace them. No toilet paper roll holder. TVs had to unplugged and plugged back in to work. The room smelled of excessive orange cleaner and deodorizer. The front desk personnel were dirty, unshaven, but very nice. No breakfast, no coffee maker in the room. Was able to get a room 1 mile down the road for the same price the next night and what a world of difference. Only reason to stay here is there is other option.
Asked for a non smoking room they gave us a room that smelled like smoke the bedsheet smelled like smoke and had cigarette burns The lamps has a yellow hue since they came out of a smoking room. The floor was dirty from previous occupants with hair all over the bathroom. Reached out to front desk they told us they would come up to take a look then after 30 mins no one showed up called again they said no more rooms.Bathroom door is broken has an actual hole as in someone punched it. Construction Patches all over the walls and bathroom and the front door does seal and lets in all the noise from outside. No surprise the fridge smelled and has visible mold. I don’t know if this better than sleeping outside.
The king size mattress was not secure in the bed frame and it kept shifting based on the weight distribution. There were only 3 pillows. The towels were worn. The phone was not connected to anything. The first room that I check into the TV ,would not turn on with the remote and the miirrow was off the door and it looked awful.I was given another room. For what I paid it is a rip off. I would not recommend to anyone.
I have stayed in several Rodeway Inns-especially when I needed to make a reservation quickly and I wasn't concerned with amenities but location. The Rodeway Inn on Hwy 19 in Newport Richey was ideal for my meetings and also to meet some friends for dinner on Monday, Jan 14th. I arrived later in the afternoon than I expected so I put my bags in the room and took off to meet friends for dinner. When I returned that evening I had a chance to check out the room. The bathroom was the worst. No toilet paper holder, the shower curtain was torn and dirty on the bottom, The bottom of the shower tub looked like it had not been scrubbed in a long time; so did the bathroom wall tiles. There were no tissues anywhere in the room and the king size bed was a bonus but the blankets were queen size and didn't fit properly. The a/c and heater worked very well and appeared new. The entire room needed a paint job, caulking and a good overall cleaning. The TV remote did not have a back to it and the batteries kept falling out. I reported that to the desk but they couldn't find an extra remote to use. The parking lot outside was very busy and noisy both nights. It appeared there was some loitering there and some people were NOT guests. Lots of shouting and some cursing as well. The lobby only offered coffee and juice and only from 6 am to 9am. This is not a Rodeway Inn I would stay at again !
It’s cheap for a reason. It is what it is. If you want cheap. No frills. My room was clean, sort of. Did I say it was cheap? It is cheap for a reason. Go to at least a Quality Inn level if you are a Choice property person. Unless you want cheap. Never saw the continental breakfast. It’s cheap.
Stay Away!! keep your family safe, go somewhere else. Broken bedframes, broken windows, burnt bed linens, strange stains on the walls. Even worse than this is the drug addicted people who are flopping there. Told manager about the problems, he told me he would move me to another room, refused refund.
My brother and I stayed here for 2 nights so we could attend our mother's funeral. It was cheap, costing $120 total for 2 nights. The pool area was nice. The front desk staff was friendly. That's it for good things. There are people living in this hotel that are clearly on drugs. They stay up all hours of the night. Personally I don't care if someone is smoking a joint in the outside common areas of the hotel, but when people are clearly on some hard core stuff things start to get sketchy. Plus the obvious drug dealer sitting in his fancy SUV all day and night was kind of a give away. The rooms were not the cleanest. The walls could use a wipe down for sure. The bathroom was decent, and at least I didn't see any mold or roaches. Now I can deal with drug addicts and a moderately clean room, but waking up covered in what I (and my Dr, who I had to see because this is so awful) can only presume to be bed bug bites is a deal breaker on any hotel for me. Both my brother and I are covered in bites, mine worse than his. And the thing about bed bugs is the bites don't all show up right away. You might not have a full breakout until you're long gone from the infested roach motel that you booked to attend your own mother's funeral. You might notice a bite or two and think maybe it was some sand flea from a local beach, and then BOOM! You're driving home and are covered in God awfully itchy bites that spread all over your face! Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel. Pay a bit more and stay at a reputable place that isn't infest with bugs and drug addicts.
