Great location but needs deep cleaning and maintenance

My husband, small dog and I stayed here in February for 11 nts. The location is great and the host is nice and communicative. But the house is not clean and needs maintenance. There were a few lightbulbs out, and batteries on a tv-remote were out and a closet door was off in the girls' room. Both bathrooms and kitchen need a deep-clean: around toilets, corners, shower doors, especially all ledges. The grout is black instead of beige in places, the fridge was not wiped down inside. The kitchen was not stocked well for cooking, pots and pans need an upgrade. Cigarette butts in the backyard. I had to watch that my dog didn't eat any that I missed picking up. The water pressure in guest bath is nonexistent; shower nozzle in master needs cleaning so the water can flow out well. The toilet float in the guest bathroom needs to be raised so the toilet will flush efficiently. The screened patio was filthy and had a broken fridge in it.

Great Location but Lacking

For context, I chose to book this property to stay for an interim period of 3 weeks while I was waiting for permanent housing to become available. The location is fantastic - close to everything you need in the area. The host was very nice and communicative. The property was not ready when I arrived for checkin and he was quick to respond and resolve the issue - but still meant I had to create alternate arrangements at last minute. The place is generally dingy and felt unclean. The inside furniture is all aged and in various states of disrepair. The furniture represented in the photos in the outdoor areas isn’t there. The backyard seems unsafe for pets and children as there’s piles of broken trash and wires exposed. The kitchen is not stocked with enough pots/pans/etc to make a small meal. The insides of the cabinets and drawers were disgusting. Bedding, linens and towels were old and scratchy. The water pressure in both showers was nonexistent. Washer and dryer smelled like mildew.

Visiting family after the hurricane

It was a short stay but, was a property we stay at during Christmas last year. We like the quite neighborhood and the convenience to family that in just north of the area.

Hurricane Milton Saviors!!!

My 73yr old mother and I had to evacuate our home during Hurricane Milton. Instead of booking a hotel on Monday I chose to wait until Tuesday just to see if the storm was on its same path. Well, needless to say ALL Daytona area hotels/motels were booked solid. I decided to check out VRBO rates on a house. Right out of the gate, these hosts allowed us to check in early, were very responsive during communication throughout our stay, as well as smooth transactions during the stressful situation we were in. The home was very clean, nicely furnished and affordable. Both my mother and I felt safe and secure during the storm. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone in need!!!

Beautiful clean house

Beautiful clean house. Beautifully decorated. All household supplies provided. Host was easy to access and due to our flight arriving earlier than check in time, they were gracious to allow us to check in earlier. Had our grandchildren over one night and they loved the TV and back yard. Will look to stay here again as we go down there quite often. ❤️

Comfortable and Convenient

The home is very comfortable with everything we needed. Quiet neighborhood close to many stores and restaurants. The owners were very responsive. We enjoyed the layout of the home - bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are on separate ends of the house for plenty of privacy for our family members.
