I visited thistle just to play golf with my fiance. The experience was pleasant and the weather was cooperative. It's a 9 hole walking course..it was okay maintained for the price of 120ringgit for 2. The par 3 were challenging and fun. The par 5 were too long for a walking course. Rmb to check in to golf at the main lobby.

Quality, and friendly, and the sea is great around here, but were sandals when wading, as stone fish can kill you in under 2 hours if you step on one. Try the local rice dish of nazi goring, yum, The beaches are clean, and this is a romantic getaway, staff could not be more helpfull, and the sea air around here is revitalising, and does not make you tired, due I think to the mixing of the Jungle aromas. As allways, the butterflies are the most vibrantly colourfull in the World, so enjoy, and hope this has been helpfull...

Spent a night here in room 532. The room provide pool view and overlooking the ocean skyline. Stay at the balcony for a sunset, amazing view. Room is clean. Bed and pillows are comfortable. The rooms comes w a day bed, complementary coffee and tea and mineral water. Bathroom is clean too. The only drawback is the water pressure for shower is low and take a while for the hot shower to settle for a good temperature. Did not use the swimming pool but from our room the swimming pool is huge and comes with 2 water slide. Thumbs up. Overall good stay.

Poor Maintenance on the swimming pool, broken tiles, algae build up on tiles, just disgusting.. Could not swim with the low hygiene on pool...No outside food allowed, not even chips,drinks..Management should place signage to advise guest..Foreign staff, who could hardly speak simple English trying to inform us not to bring outside snacks...Thats infair..

Stayed here for one night during Chinese New Year. What we loved was the ample amount of activities at the resort and loved the pool! Breakfast buffet spread was really good. And they had a lovely fireworks display on the eve of Chinese New Year right in the middle of the resort. However, one drawback. There was an incident where the housekeeping staff decided to enter the room with the master key as i didn't answer our doorbell. the staff rang the bell twice and as I was in the shower, I didn't answer the door. The staff then decided it was okay to use the master key and unlock the door and I had to yell for that person to please stay out. Although the intention was to pass me the room doormat, but they should not have done that. Maybe call us to get the doormat from them since I didn't answer the door or leave it at the door.

This is the second time i have stayed here. The hotel and its'surrouding area is quite nice. i especially enjoyed the swimming pool and beach area. However, thehotel management have to improve the room cleanliness and maintain the facilities i.e. toilet and aircond as this is not up to par with the hotel's ratings. The first time i stayed these facilities was not properly maintained.

Was there in early Dec. Arrived late in the evening and check in was smooth. Had reserved sea view rooms on level 6 and love it. Had been here almost 10 years back (formerly Guo Man resort) and the place has been refurbished. Not exactly 5 star but clean enough for a family resort. Pool was busy over the weekend and the slides at the kiddy pool were overcrowded and cold ( rainy). Breakfast was fine but don't expect anything fancy. Was overall enjoyable though the road trip from Singapore was long.

Checked in last week with my husband for short break during weekend. Receptionist gives us Twin Bed Room at first, however they changed me to King Size Bed and its highly appreciated. The breakfast buffet was fantastic! Thumbs up for the taste and the food quality. However, room cleanliness not up to our expectations. Sticky and dusty floor when we came in, toilet bowl leaking, glass door of the shower room was very dirty same goes with the floor. I suggested to scrub the toilet and also the shower room. Housekeeping need to inspect the room properly before release those room. Definitely need some improvement, and suggestion to have comment card in the room.

Brought the wife and 2 kids for a short weekend getaway here. Everybody enjoyed themselves with the facilities and activities. Loved especially the night activities. Will be back again next time. Would highly recommend.

I should have read the review here before I check in this hotel. I thought I could have the 5 star rated service but it turns out a disaster 2 star business. 1 hour to check in and the worst part is the electric on and off. Called the front desk but they kept saying the technician is on their way. This is the 1st and last I stay.
